Think of it this way. At least we got legit info that the movie is being made at all. The first one took almost a decade to release, and we finally got it. Looking at it, yes it sucks the sequel is delayed, but I’m glad we got info it’s being created, and a delay isn’t always a bad thing. I’m excited to see the sequel, and I hope the first trailer doesn’t spoil a whole lot.

Maybe they want it to be like the fnaf 1 movie last year in October since it is a big holiday and where the well-known Halloween characters are and how Blumhaouse was successful in Autumn October and for fnaf 2 you want that if you take it as a concern or it doesn't give us entertainment and enjoy

it wont be December 31st, this has always been a placeholder date for any piece of media that has an unspecified release, filming date, for websites they put the last day of the year. game releases like Dying Light 2, and Dead Island 2 were December 31st for 2 or so years in a row, bc there were no release dates visible. so it's not a delay, don't worry about it.
