- Fully Upgraded Level 399 1117HP Murican Chevrolet Corvette C7 Grand Sport race spec gameplay for Need For Speed Payback. Showcasing it's overall performance in 3 events, 1 online race and 1 bait crate event as bonus. Performance/Speed Cards and stats are shown briefly at the start. Yes, throughout the video it is using Americana speedcards as shown. Played with keyboard and manual transmission.
The Corvette C7 GS is one of the most talked cars during release as being one of the top tier cars. The sad part is due to Ghost Games balancing, it just missed out on it.

Chevrolet Corvette C7 Grand Sport Race Spec Performance Review:
Yes the title is true. The LV399 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport seems to be the only LV399 that has a manual transmission. Meanwhile, cars like Volkswagen Beetle and an old Mustang/pickup has a Formula 1 sequential gearbox which can shift gears in microseconds without losing any power between shifts. Being another unfortunate victim of Ghost Game's balancing, the consequence of having a "manual gearbox" is that there are power loses between gear shifts. Which is a shame, it severely affects the acceleration. It's overall acceleration of NOS and Engine accel is good but it could have been better.
The handling. The Corvette GS has probably one of the fastest cornering speed in the game. It seems to have the lowest speed loss when the angle gets large, especially in hairpin turns, it's one of the fastest which results in a very fast time for Mountain Run. The drifting overall is very light too. Unfortunately, the drift recovery speed is not good on this car. You can regain decent speed for low speed/medium speed turns but high speed turns you can easily lose all of your speed momentum if you are not careful. The very lightness drifting nature of the car doesn't help that aspect either. This car is really bad at Silver Lodge Casino.
How does it compare with 911 RSR and Regera:
Just 1.2 seconds slower than the 911 RSR in Mountain Run. It has one of the best cornering speeds but unfortunately has acceleration hiccups from gear shifting. It's good on mountain tracks but weak on high speed tracks.

JDM racing the thing is that the C7 Z06 have a dual clutch semi auto trans, and the GS is stick shift trans, so that means it have slower gearing, obviously irl, a fucking old 911 is the fastest car in this game so don't take seriously nothing from it lol

Well it may lack power but at least it handles well. Sometimes being lighter than everyone else is best, a Lotus can shit on a Lambo if the course is technical enough after all. But it's still a rather unfair balance.

I think ive solved the mystery of ISAD's perfect drifts. Just put full downforce. This also helped out with the diablo's turning problems. Now it turns kinda like any other car.

Can anyone confirm this for me: The bigger the nitrous tank, the longer it takes to activate? If that is true, then I think it is better for a car to not have max nitrous but a level lower so that it can activate sooner.

Either way, a max tank of NoS is better than a small one for racing.
It's only Drag cars that suffer from that issue because all drag cars start with a max tank of NoS.
