- The Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor is, unequivocally, the most powerful air dominance fighter ever built by human hands. It is a fifth generation single seat, twin engine, all-weather stealth tactical fighter. While the United States Air Force initially planned to receive 750 of these advanced tactical fighters, astronomical cost overruns, sustainment shortsightedness, the inability to be exported, and the upcoming F-35 Joint Tactical Fighter program would plague the F-22’s production and hamstring its full potential. The Air Force would end up with only 187 of these incredible machines and planned to completely maximize their return on investment with multiple service life upgrades to keep the Raptor on the cutting edge of technology. However, like with any story, we must start back at the beginning.

Man, I just love the way U.S. jets look. The F-4, F-14, A-10, all the way up to the F-22 and F-35. I love the way the older planes look and I love the way the newer planes look
Just something about our fighters thats timeless almost every single time. We've made some duds, for sure, but dammit when we make a banger that mf slaps for years.

You can say whatever you want about the F-35. The F-22 Will continue to be the gigachad of aircrafts. Btw, congrats for the 30K
it's actually much the opposite, not a lot of people praise the F-35, it's hated for no reason lol
@@insurgentleman I openly dislike the F-35. But not for "no reason". it has been by far the most expensive stealth fighter program that lead to a slightly better aircraft than the F22 in therms of avionics and sensors, and it can hover the ground and perform vertical landigs. BUT the F35 is not comparable to the F22 in therms of speed and manouverability. You can argue that the F35 is an attack vessel and its not designed to perform air superiority, but it's actually a multirole fighter, wich means that it was made to perform both attack and air superiority missions. Thus, although hard (but not impossible) to detect, if an F35 needs to engage in an air-to-air battle, it has less chances of winning. That's my thoughts on this, you can surely disagree. But from my point of view, it's like 30 years ago they released a "Xbox series X" and, now 30 years later they released a "Xbox Series S" with a better cooling system.
@@CotsOficial "Slightly better" is a huge understatement, the amount of technology that came up with the jet is astonishing, and while the program will continue to be expensive the unit price of an F-35 is still lower than the F-22's and maintenance is a lot quicker. Air superiority doesn't necessarily translate to dog-fighting, the whole point of the design in terms of air combat is to remain undetected, detect the enemy first and then kill from afar, and if dog-fighting did happen the F-35 has performance comparative to the F-18 and F-16. On top of all that, the F-35 has done great in all the Red Flag exercises it showed on, which greatly contradicts your "it has less chances of winning on air-to-air battles" argument.

South Asia (toh maps) probably the biggest map in arma 3

@@hawkeye_tactical South Asia does have building similar to cup (it has been updated multiple times). There are multiple versions of the terrain I think the most advanced one is TOH (take on helicopters) but I'm not 100% sure.

No viper, asthetics don't matter when selecting military equipment, there was a lot of lobbying an congress kind of disklied Northrop for slow and expensive development of the B2

@@Viper1Zero I dunno how true is it, but, I've heard we also "Govern" our F-22's during War Games...So, our allies don't feel overwhelmed.
@@brandondavis7777 Yes, they’ve documented in AARs from Red Flag that the 5th Gen aircraft are to have only certain capabilities. “Limited BVR, certain altitudes and ranges, etc”
