My favorite place in Little Havana is Sanguiche de Miami. Some other things to try are cafe con leche, cuban burger, mamey, and their meat plates with rice, beans and plantains. I like Havana 1957 (right on south beach) and Kuva at the airport but I'm sure there are a lot of other good places, went to those out of convenience.

I'm Cuban and I can tell you, that Cuban sandwich is the worst version I've ever seen.
