Colin makes fun of whiteness the way that many comedians make fun of their own ethnicities. And he's clever about it. Self deprecating - likeable. What a tough line to walk.
I love Jost he got invited to do a speech for one of the most important black comedians of all time and thought "I could say what he meant to me but that's not the joke. Colin Jost...thats my guy. I mean, they're up there roasting Chappelle...so the RIGHT WAY to do that, is how these cats did it. But Jost nailed Dave's approach to comedy "get the audience as close as humanly possible to that part of the joke that makes everybody EXTREMELY uncomfortable, and then let the audience decide how funny it is"...and then sometimes, whatever that is, aint funny. And so the comic then becomes a social commentator..and at his core, thats really who Dave is. And he's a genius at it.
