Hard to believe people threw out perfectly good plates etc. They could be given to charity shops or needy people. It's crazy to me that these were thrown out. So glad you rescued those lovely fern plates!

I thought you were going to leave the ginger beer bottle behind. I'm glad you heard me yelling at you to take it. 😉 Don't forget to show us the restored version. I also can't wait to see what wonderful things you make from the scrap copper finds. 😊 Thanks for another wonderful video. I always love to see the shots of nature that you include. While you were uncovering the treasures, I was looking at all the pine cones, thinking of all the things I could make with them! In my opinion you are the best mudlarkers , as you always give so much information on your treasures, and your both so enthusiastic . Thank you for the great videos. From Pembrokeshire West Wales

Hi Gail and Alex: Blantyre is in Scotland a few miles from Glasgow. David Livingstone grew up there (next door to my Grandma). It was a silk weaving area in the day and also had several coal pits. My brother still lives in High Blantyre (the upper village). In the area we had a soft drink plant because of the terrific water. Happy 😊 holidays from Canada where I now live. Enjoy your channel a lot……

I've been thinking about the amazing bottles all of my favourite mudlarkers find. The broken ones that you all seem disappointed to have to leave behind like the amber "not to be taken" and the base of the broken "crystal" like jug... You could in fact use them in Led lighting or stained glass artwork. Imagine a beautiful window piece that shows off a selection of broken sides and bottoms of bottles and crockery.

I don't know if you read new comments on your older videos, but a bottle with a hole in like that makes a great feature in a small water garden. You can feed the pump hose through the hole. Lie the bottle on its side on some stones and the water can pour through the spout. Fun larking with you!

I just knew when I saw the title that Alex would have a tooth! haha. I know Gail found it but she never enjoys it quite the way Alex does! Those fern plates are lovely. As for the pyrex bowl, my mother had some of those in the 1970s. Exactly the same. They were put to various uses from being a more modern (then!) sugar bowl to having eggs broken into them when baking.

I grew up near Cleveland Ohio, and I remember Drene shampoo from when I was very young in the late 60’s. It was a rather harsh shampoo that was highly concentrated so you didn’t want to use too much of it. It used to make my super fine hair all frizzy. I hated it. It smelled medicinal too.

Another excellent video! Loved the coin, the red Edinburgh stoneware and (of course) the ginger beer the most!
The coin could well have been used for target practice, nailed at 3 points around the circumference - 2 at the bottom, 1 at the top to hold it in in place and using a smaller round, such as .22.
I've found several coins whilst detecting that have been struck by bullets and it would make sense to use foreign coins that couldn't be spent in the UK over our own pennies..! Doubtful it would've saved someone's life by being in their pocket when they were shot, but how amazing if that was the case!
The red Edinburgh bottle is stunning and rare - like you say. I've never seen another one like it here in Scotland. A fantastic find!
The ginger beer is definitely worth repairing. I'm intrigued to see what you do with it! There's certainly plenty of it left to work with.
Loved it, as always you two! Willie :)

I have a collection of teeth, I have deer teeth, horse tooth( found in the wild) and human teeth(got those at an antique shop) my friend has an antique denture plate with teeth. I also have some of those screw top bottles with the bakelite lids, found in a dump we picked over and I have an older screw top from the late 1800's. I have much more items from dumps, antique and thrift shops, but this is just a few. My friend would have loved the blue milk of magnesia she collects those, I have a few, but none of them are embossed like that.

Think they used to use mercury for teeth fillings. Not the planet though. 😁
