Brandon immediately going to the freezer when Stephen said he hadn’t had coffee flavored ice cream in a long time and pulling out those ice cream sandwiches was peak comedy. I strive for the snarky energy that Brandon has 😆
Let me get this straight, Stephen "likes ice cream" but asks for Vanilla and then doesn't eat it, has ice cream sandwiches but doesn't eat them, eats raspberry ice cream, but wants it to taste more like raspberry. the common denominator here seems to be ice cream so something is not adding up.
Tillamook Cookies and Cream is a favorite in this house! Oooorrrr if Mal wants to get extra fancy with the cookery, Giada de Laurentiis has a phenomenal Chocolate-Hazelnut Gelato recipe that has been the BEST homemade ice cream (gelato) I have ever had.
Cookies and Cream is one if my wife's favorite flavors for treats, and Tillamook is our go-to ice cream brand, so she supports your households ice cream of choice
I understand what you mean, Stephen. Your ice cream-related feelings are valid. It’s like the people who are like canned Coke is better than bottle Coke.
Blue Bell had an ice cream flavor last summer (2023) that I absolutely adored- it was a Pink Lemonade flavor that was strawberry ice cream with some small bits of lemon flavor- dunno if it was sherbet or like candy flakes. They've since discontinued it but I still think about it every day
For ice cream flavors, I second Tilamook’s peach ice cream. It has little chunks of peach in it and it’s so good, while still feeling light. I recently tried target’s icecream, specifically a blueberry cheesecake flavor that I really enjoyed; that one was a bit heavier though. Would not eat if already fairly full. Another flavor I’ve had that’s a good light ice cream I’ve tried is earl grey tea ice cream. I haven’t seen tubs I can get or anything, but I highly recommend trying if you see it somewhere!
Highly suggest blue bell dr pepper float ice cream. Also highly recommend seen it mainly at Walmart but a brand called Van leeuwen their honey comb is great. And they make a lot of really weird but actually pretty good flavor. Like seen and tried blueberry corn bread
Bryers had a flavor (discontinued due to a bad shortage in the early 2000's) Chocolate Banana Chunk. It was Banana Ice Cream with Chocolate chunks that also had banana in them. They brought it back as a limited edition flavor years later but never as a mainstay and I still miss it.
I know it's not ice cream but I share your pain with having my favorite flavor of something no longer existing. A few years back there was this Oreo flavor, Salted Caramel Brownie, that was topped with salt. I've yet to find a flavor or Oreo that I like even remotely as close. I've tasted my perfect oreo cookie, and now it's gone.
Tillamook Ice Cream is one of the best grocery store brands! They've been expanding but their new chocolate line is spectacular. Blue Bell is pretty decent too
+1 for Tillamook. I'm slightly biased since I was born in Oregon and my parents both grew up there, but it's definitely my favorite national brand. It's so soft and creamy and I never have to warm up the scoop to scoop it out.
If you want an interesting flavor to try I don't know if you guys get Yarnell in stores in NC but try the flavor lemon ice box pie my family got it recently and we all have enjoyed it so far.
I feel that when they were talking about meal planning around FOD. My dad and I LOVED the Chocolate Volcano. I literally changed lanes last second on my way home last week because the flavor was that.
Just catching up on vlogs. So, I know you said not to suggest Graeters but, just so you're aware, they do ship Pints nationwide. It's 80 bucks for 6 pints (and 120 for 12) but still, the option is there. Otherwise, Husdonville has become my new go-to brand on Ice Cream. Most of their flavors are good but they're Strawberry is great and they have a Peach Raspberry Swirl that is making my mouth water right now.
Not /exactly/ following the prompt, but absolutely you guys should enjoy some custard at Goodberry's (they also do a flavor of the day), or ice cream from Two Roosters. Two Roosters Durham is a nice place to gather; the one in Raleigh is also nice. :)
They make Twix-flavored ice cream that comes in pints, and it's actually caramel-flavored ice cream with cookie bits in it. It's the only caramel-flavored ice cream I've ever had and it's really great. It's definitely improved by the cookie bits, but just the flavor of the ice cream itself is pretty special.
Phish food from Ben&Jerry's and Brown Butter Bourbon Truffle from Private Selection(Kroger/Harris Teeter). the Amaretto Cherry Cordial from there is great too.
One of my favorites is Blue Bell's milk chocolate. Tastes just like a Wendy's frosty! Another is their mint chocolate chip. It's a lot creamier than other brands. I looked at their distribution map, and they should sell up in NC.
i've been getting blue bell a lot lately, my favorite has probably been the cookies and cream cone that was just really good. another one that was weird was oatmeal cream pie flavored, it really just tasted like a little debbie oatmeal cream pie in ice cream form, but it was just weird enough to like
My favorite ice cream is by Perry's, and it's called Tuxedo. It's a three-flavor one, and the flavors are vanilla, french roast coffee, and dark chocolate. It improves upon everything I like about normal Neapolitan, and takes out the only part I didn't care for, the strawberry flavor in lieu of the french roast coffee, and it's just a very pleasant experience, fully recommend
Turkey Hill's coffee flavor used to be my family and I's favorite but we haven't been able to find it for over a year at this point. Recently I've gotten the Haagen Dazs coffee almond toffee crunch bars, which are very good! Problem is they only come in packs of 3. I should pick up some more ice cream next time I go grocery shopping
Yeah as a suggestion, Blue Bell is always my favorite for just good solid flavours. For fancier novelty ice cream, other brands have more options, but Blue Bell is the best for any default flavours (Butterpecan is a good one, or mint chocolate chip)
If I'm getting a big tub it's either French Vanilla or Moose Tracks, but if I'm getting a pint or so I grab Haagen Daz Dulce de Leche or Blue Bunny Bunny Tracks, on the other hand the ice cream currently in my freezer is Root Beer Float Pops. Please note that both Moose Tracks and Bunny Tracks have peanut butter cups in them.
The Target brand rainbow sherbet is a classic, and when I go to Culver's I make a peanut butter neapolitan with vanilla custard, Reese's cups, and strawberries.
Stephen, I just want you to know, I know how it is with the Coffee Ice Cream thing. I'm on Spectrum and there's a LOT of things I'm like "I want this" "We have (this but with extra steps)" "Thank you but no I want this." There's a... a mental roadblock, or perhaps at times we know that we want a specific EXPERIENCE, rather than a specific flavor or what have you. And that's what We're talking about. Like, Artificial flavouring, for example, I love Artificial Cherry/Grape/Banana, but I am physically revolted (this is not hyperbole) by actual Cherries/Grapes/and at times Bananas.
I'm with Stephen on the coffee ice cream brownie things, you can taste the residue from the brownie! And he wants scoops of it, it's definitely not the same.
Stephen, I'm gonna be quick on my Ice Cream recommendation cause I almost always default to this flavor. If you're gonna get a half gallon of ice cream, Publix brand cookie dough is always a delight. It also pairs well with most toppings and syrups. I also recommend any Greenwise Ice Cream for those who want an organic variant. edit: This "quick" response wasn't very quick now was it.
I really like Talenti ice cream. They come in a variety of flavors and most of the ones I tried I really like. They have a type of coffee flavored one too. They come in pints and even the pints themselves are neat, as they are see through.
Tillamook ice cream is on sale here in Southern Oregon at Winco for $2.98 so I’m heading there tomorrow to get some half gallons. I like vanilla bean so that’s one I’ll get. I usually buy Umpqua ice cream but it’s $7.49.
For ice cream recs, if you can find them near you, I'd say either Blue Bell banana pudding or any Jeni's flavor that sounds good to you. I personally really like the gooey butter cake and blackout cake flavors!
@@Betherblog yes, I saw that! From what I saw it's only the sandwiches that they recalled but those are made separately from the pints so they should be ok
Coincidentally, I bought a big tub of ice-cream last night. A biiiig tub, 1.2 gallon. Hey, we're having a barbecue tomorrow. It's just gonna be 5 or 6 of us total, but you know, for later. And maybe they REALLY want ice-cream.
Theres this one ice cream thats the Kroger store brand. It's blueberry pomegranate with chocolate chunks in it. I make my own ice cream now but that one was crazy good.
I'm a big fan of the cookie butter ice cream from Trader Joe's. I gotta warn ya, though: the cookie butter is more like solid cookie chunks, and those chunks are pretty big. Expect the scoops to come out weird-looking sometimes.
Forget national ice cream brands - there are SO MANY local places in the Triangle that will blow your mind. Two Roosters, Lumpy’s (Wake Forest), Goodberry’s, Simon Says Dip This
When i lived in florida and before i meet my son father i work at an ice-cream shop and we had an espresso chocolate chip that was very popular and very good
Man, I love when Dairy Queens get to have regional or even store-exclusive food. One of the Dairy Queens in my area makes its own fresh, hot cheese cup that's a blend of 3 cheeses, I believe, and I'm honestly sad it's not available at all Dairy Queens. The cheese cup is AMAZING with fries and chicken strips.
Call me basic but Baskin Robins' Gold Medal Ribbon has been my go to since I was 5 years old. All it is is vanilla ice cream and chocolate ice cream with a caramel ribbon mixed in.
You will consider this sacrilege, but I prefer the Kroger brand raspberry chocolate ice cream to the graeter’s brand. Also the Ben and Jerry’s dairy free oatmeal cream pie flavor slaps
Okay Stephen, I will absolutely send you icecream. I got the message loud and clear. You'll be sent one Bluebell A&W flavored ice cream. Directly to your house.

He literally KNOWS what kinds of ice cream they have in the freezer. I don't even know what kinds I have in my own...
Sometimes I kinda felt that about Alex and Hayley. Although it hasn't been as much as it used to be
