Solo Vow of the Disciple Raid - All Encounters To The Final Boss [Destiny 2]

- Destiny 2 The Witch Queen - Solo Vow of the Disciple Raid To The Final Boss / Solo All Possible Vow of the Disciple Raid Encounters / Solo Vow Raid To Rhulk / Solo Destiny 2 Raid. This is a compilation video showing the every possible encounter in the Vow of the Disciple raid being finished completely solo. These were done during both Season of the Risen and Season of the Haunted. Details and timestamps below.
Below I'll have timestamps and links to all of the original videos where I completed these. I'll put small details about each of the clears below the timestamp and link, but please visit the links for any appropriate credits or further details on the strategy used. At the end of every clear I show the full loadout used. Overall video thoughts at the bottom.
00:00 - Entrance: • Solo Vow of the Discip...
Very basic encounter that anybody can do solo really. There's no darkness zone so you can take your time. The above link is also with contest mode on, which is basically just a little longer and slightly more threatening.
14:42 - Solo Acquisition: • Solo Acquisition - Vow...
This was an encounter I thought was just another pure RNG mess, but turned out to be actually pretty fun and not nearly as difficult as it looks. At first the RNG aspect can throw you off the timing and rhythm of it while learning, but once you spend a little bit more time on it, you get a good feel for it. While there's still some RNG involved which can make it significantly easier, it's not terrible overall. Probably the most enjoyable solo encounter in this raid.
29:17 - Solo Caretaker: • Solo Caretaker - Vow o...
Probably up there as one of the least enjoyable solo challenges I've done. Unlike what I thought the previous encounter to be, this actually was just a pure RNG mess. The encounter itself isn't overly difficult at its core, but it's entirely up to RNG and things completely out of your control as to whether or not you get this done. Not the sort of challenge I enjoy at all unfortunately.

Nothing really special to say about this one either.
41:59 - Solo Exhibition: • Solo Exhibition - Vow ...
This was only briefly possible for a while after it released, and is no longer possible now. There was a glitch that allowed you to get infinite time if you hit the wrong symbol so your time goes below 0, but also defeat the Knight so the timer goes back above. It prevented the wipe mechanic and let you take as long as you need. Even though it's not possible anymore, I figured I'd still include it in the compilation for people to see, as people tend to enjoy everything included regardless of the time periods.
1:10:49 - Final Path to Rhulk
Nothing too special about this area either, it's just the final section before the final boss. Unless an absolutely massive glitch is found, it's very unlikely Rhulk will ever be possible. There hasn't even been a 2 man completion yet, so it stands to reason that a solo is pretty implausible.
As for the video and raid itself, there's a few sections I had to put cuts in to keep it a bit smoother. I had to re-record a few parts, particularly the jumping puzzles and the transition after Acquisition. Acquisition I got soft-locked after clearing it, so I had to waste time getting into an oob then back into the map to make the checkpoint work, hence the blocked door I "magically" punch open. The jumping puzzles I didn't record the first time around, so I redid them after. All parts could be done solo at one point or another though, and I tried to make them as unobtrusive as possible.

I’ve gotten to solo Acquisition on solo and beat it but spent like a hour on it so it’s possible to try it and maybe being successful if your good at the tricks and stuff
Well it is hard honestly... It's just basically always moving and looking at the totem and kill the yellow bars so they don't do damage once ubget 1 down than it becomes a little easier make use u kill the glyphkeepers quick so door stays open and you good... will i get it down like this no, well maybe but will I try HELL YES...

For those wondering how his caretaker damage is so high, on the raid armor he is running the mod "into the void" i think its called, where your grenades charge faster and deal more damage while you dont have pervading darkness, this also stacks up to 5x

@@bmw1900 In solar raid armor. Raid armor has an extra 5th slot but you need to drop the mod from extra chests.

I think Solo Rhulk being impossible makes it more lore accurate.
I've heard that after the third time that you change symbol rhulk automatically wipes, but if it doesn't actually happen, then i did the math for what the possibility to solo rhulk would be like, and the number is ABYSMALLY low. It's 1/((3^6 × 4^4)^3), or about 1.5 × 10^-14%. A number with SIXTEEN zeros. You'd be better off to try and win the lottery rather than attempt solo rhulk lmao
Oh yeah, and all of this if you can even do all of the damage required to kill rhulk in the first place

@@themememaster423 nah nah i actually did the math quite some time ago, because when i saw solo exihibition i thought to myself "hey what if solo rhulk" and calculated the probability of it happening for the funsies. Needless to say, the number i saw didnt even surprise me lel
Yeah I’m pretty sure if Rhulk was at full power and wasn’t cocky at the same time he would’ve killed the Guardian tbh

yeah, i was trying to start doing this one solo, but ran my solar burn-heal-lock build. i'll try on my usual void build. having devour up is very helpful, and the add clear of witherhoard, should've thought of that, lol :). thanks for the tips (i learn by watching you do your thing) :)

call me crazy but those crystals that provide "knowledge" seem to play a note when picked up, and it sounds a lot like the tune that plays when you start destiny 2, it's most noticeable at 6:06. That motif was new to the beyond light title screen and darkness was a central theme to that expansion, then with witch queen that motif is played even louder so it doesn't seem outlandish that the motif represents the darkness. idk where im going with this i just thought it was a crazy neat detail or maybe just a wild coincidence.

Great video, and good job reaching the final boss solo. As to whether I would do it solo myself, that is unlikely - at best I can reach Rank 100 by now, and Rank 150 before a season ends, certainly not 350+.

I got past the entrance and into the pyramid by myself since I did the preservation mission, I knew what to expect. As soon as I got to the first encounter I just quit after I failed once. Wasn’t going to try lol. Sucks being a solo player.
