Looks like it worked! My raspberry jam was saved after not setting up properly. Thank you! FYI I originally had 6 pints and after reprocessing I did reduce total by one pint
I'm so glad your jam was saved! You are right, it does reduce the amount you get after, but it's worth it for jam that sets up! Thanks for watching! ❤️
Thank you for, I noticed you do not have anything in your pot to prevent your jar from rattling around. I remember my mother when I was younger, taking me to my grandmother‘s house and she used to put a towel at the bottom of her pot. If she didn’t have a rack just something you might see as being useful.
Thanks for your comment! I actually do have a round metal grated plate that sits at the bottom. It's really hard to see though. The towel idea is really good! I might give it a try. Thanks for watching! ❤️
I hope it works for you! I thought I used enough pectin the first time, but I guess I didn't. I'm glad I found a way to fix it. Thanks for watching ❤️ also, raspberry jam sounds delicious 😋
The liquid reduces down so you get less than when you started. Someone else in the comments also said theirs reduced and they got less than when they started, so I'm not the only one. 🤷🏻♀️
Nice save on fixing the runny jam. I didn't know there was a way to fix it. Thx girl...
You're welcome! I'm glad there's a pretty easy fix for it. Hope you had a nice weekend! ❤️

Well done for fixing it. And omg Calvin now looks like he's made of velvet! ❤
Hes always so soft when he gets groomed! Then he quickly ruins it by rolling in grass. Haha ❤️❤️
Thank you so much! Beautiful jam!
Thank you! Hopefully this trick works for you if you ever need it! Thanks for watching ❤️
Thank you, glad there's hope for my triple Berry jam.
You're welcome! I hope it works for you! It's worked for me several times. You're jam sounds amazing!! Thanks for watching! ❤️
Thank you for posting.

Thank you, also now I know you can remove the ring and it will still stay seated. Not that I have any reason to do that. 😅
Have a great day

This is great to know. Thank you
You're welcome! I hope it works for you if you ever need to try it!
How much more sugar & pectin did you say to add? I need to fix my hot pepper jelly.
For every 4 cups of runny jelly, I used 1/4 cup of sugar and 1 tbsp of pectin. I hope it works for you! ❤️
I had fresh raspberries this year for the first time. Mine came out runny-even using sure gel. I will do this next time

Can you place the jars in the pot without a rack on the bottom?
I wouldn't recommend it because it might rattle and crack the jars. Mine has a rack at the bottom that's really hard to see on the video.
I still process my half filled jars and they seal ok.
How do you end up with less than you started with, especially when you added more sugar?
The liquid reduces down so you get less than when you started. Someone else in the comments also said theirs reduced and they got less than when they started, so I'm not the only one. 🤷🏻♀️
Evaporation due to boiling it again.
If you used a rubber spatula you get my jam out of the bottles
You mean, it didn’t set, it sealed ok.
