  • A video demonstration on how to make a resin saltwater, surfcasting lure. I will also cover a brief comparison between making a lure from resin as opposed to wood.

What epoxy resin do you recommend?

Hi Greg - make sure to use a deep pout epoxy. I used Total Boat but it’s painfully expensive. I have used Alumilite too which I like better as it mixes in a 1:1 ratio as opposed to the 1:3 ratio of Total Boat. The performance of both seemed comparable. A friend of mine swears by Liquid Glass, which seems to be much more affordable. I’d like to try that next.
