    without realizing it, my tears were flown to how kind-hearted King Sejong wanted to make his people more literate even though many scholars opposed him at that time.

    0:52 There was a writing system for Korean called Idu. Idu was syllabary. Katakana borrowed this syllabary system from Shilla dynasty and used it themselves. Please look it up.

    This is a great video to introduce English-speaking adults to the Korean language. Unfortunately, I'm teaching a pair of 5th graders, and it's a little dry for them.
    But overall, definitely a well-made video with a lot of good information. Thank you!

    Fun fact: There's Phoenician letters not available in Phags Pa (it's a Phoenician descent) that coincidentally have similar/same pronunciation and letter shape. This can be used to prove if the Phags Pa theory is wrong, also proves if the Phoenician have the same method (imitate the mouth anatomy). It's all what I'd got from my own research
    Here's, I use Greek since it's the closest descent:
    Α = ㅏ (the original resembles a K, a shouting mouth)
    Ε = ㅓ (flipped from the Phoenician, the Korean letter for E is a diphthong of Eo and I. Resembles a throat)
    Ι = ㅣ (simplified from the Pho. The original resembles a throat)
    Υ = ㅜ (remains the same)
    And here's the explanation for the problematics in Phags Pa theory, from my research:
    ㅂ : Possibly made from drawing the upper lip curve and the lower lip top (the same shape as Phoenician B) from the cheek perspective; then simplified and now the upper part is merged with the lower part, it still has a tail on the left; and finally, added a stroke on the top and then flipped 90° to the right
    Here's the demonstration: 9 -> бı -> ы -> ㅂ
    ㄹ : Made by adding a stroke on the top of ㄴ, but this time, the stroke is placed on the left edge; then make it look wavy and then make it look blocky
    Here's the demonstration:
    L -> ל -> S -> ㄹ or
    L -> 2 -> ㄹ
    Also makes sense why Arabic K and Cursive Cyrillic lowercase G are shaped like an S / 2

      @@user-fd8ev2yv8r there's no source since I researched it by myself. I applied the Hunminjeongeum way in my research, and I know all the Phoenician sounds since I can read Arabic
      The research started after seeing the Korean cursive M looked like Hebrew M
