- #FrontlinePilipinas | Bago ang kanilang reunion concert, sinagot ng Eraserheads ang ilang isyu sa kanilang banda pati na rin ang kanilang paghahanda para sa “Huling El Bimbo" concert sa December 22.

I remember when they release "1995" and "Sabado". Akala ko may parating na bagong album, sadly walang nangyari. I think they're too old na to make a new one, pa-tour tour na lang sila haha

Im a fan of heads since I was 9, and Im 37 now and I keep on listening to podcast, watching vlogs and old interviews/docs about them. And accepting the fact na they are not really friends tlga may kirot pa rin sa puso gang ngayon. Reality hurts tlga. But still, their songs will be forever in our hearts specially to batang 90’s like me.

they're not friends, totoo naman, kahit bago pa sabihin ni ely un, at binack-up-an naman ni rayms, totoo, if you read some of the old old articles about them and/or interviews, vocal na sila noon pa man, after gigs, practices, you will always see them go with there own set of friends, ang usual lang na magkasama palagi (roommates/dormmates etc.) is si ely at marcus.
btw, yeah they were not friends, but ely from his own word, out of the 3 heads he looks at rayms as his little brother.
Edit: the word "friends" for them has a different meaning. They have this unspoken respect for one another, friends are too "mababaw" to identify there relationship to one another.

Kung may ikukumpara ako na professionals na hindi "friends" na nagexcel din sa craft nila together, yung relationship nila michael jordan kay rodman. Haha. Vocal din sila na wala silang social interaction outside the court pero pag naglaro sila, hinayupak ang chemistry.

Nothing wrong really if each one has his own circle of friends. No different from athletes in a team game. What's important is their respect for each person's individuality. And also chemistry when they perform.

The problem of this great band is their suspect bond. They need to put their acts together. They have to stop thinking that they can be great again going different directions. Time has proven they can't. Be a true "band of brothers" accepting and appreciating each other for each one's authenticity. Grow up, mga idol!
Don't try hard anymore to make 'new music' for us. You've made more than enough for all of us! That's futiile na. The New generation fans appreciate you for your classics. Theyre not craving for newer things/songs from you . Leave that to other younger generation banda if you do care for them.
We older fans don't need that anymore anymore (just as we're not expecting newer songs anymore from Chicago, Rolling Stones, Journey... We're simply grateful for all their songs!)
Music has made you already. Give it back. Stay with your beingness - ERASERHEADS !

why do u assume they have a suspect bond? they work so well as a band, theyve produced music far more successful than any filipino musician ever could... theyre professionals... it doesnt mean they have to be best buddies... most excellent professionals at work arent best buddies but they work so well in their job and with their team.. thats what matters.. even in sports... Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, and Kukoc werent best friends yet they worked so well as a team. di mo kelangan maging best friend sa katrabaho mo.. minsan yung mag best friends, naging magkatrabaho o partner sa negosyo, failure ang negosyo o trabaho kase bestfriends eh..

It’s true nmn na they didn’t start as friends, si Ely pa nga ang post na he’s looking for a co band members. I’m not sure if they’re all freshmen when they met, but Kalayaan Dorm is for freshmen ata. Nag click sila as Eheads because they have the same taste with music, at Iyon ang nagustuhan ng mga Tao sa knila.

btw some trivia for you, ely was on another band before he met the other three, and so is the other three. both bands lose there key members and ely ended up posting looking for new bandmates, and lo and behold the three showed up(they were the only ones who answered ely's post and marcus was only there to watch) originally, raymund was the one going to play bass and buddy was on drums, and they knew something was off so they decided to switch, and the rest is history.

I heard their songs. It is very Filipino but im not a fan of this band. Their voices are not that great but have a strong appeal to the masses. I love the melody, rythm and lyrics of their songs.
Try listening to Urbandub & Franco Bro, all of their songs are in English but they are Filipino.

Ely' statement of not being friends with the rest of the band does not mean they hated each other.
They're not like Van Halen whose late guitarist Eddie Van Halen had feuds with frontmen David Lee Roth, Sammy Hagar, and bassist Michael Anthony.
They're not like KISS whose members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley don't get along with the other original half Ace Frehley and Peter Criss.
They're not like Oasis whom the Gallagher brothers hated each other that continued to this day.
They're not like Pink Floyd whose members Roger Waters and David Gilmour hate each another.
They're not like The Smashing Pumpkins whose frontman Billy Corgan, clashed with the rest of the band, continuously don't get along with former bassist D'arcy Wretzky.

Most of songs in Bamboo (Band) was written by Nathan Azarcon. Daming magagandang post-eheads Ely Buendia songs. Mababaw lang talaga ang trip ng mga tao at masyadong ahead si Ely sa song writing niya. Wala pang nakakapag sulat ng lyrics tulad ng kantang Lightyears now.

Andaming nasulat na magagandang kanta ni ely sa pupil and kahit mongols. Kahit oktaves and apartel. Magaganda mga melodies ang problema lang kay ely ma pride. Hindi na makamasa ang lyrics. Hindi nakakarelate mga tao. Si raimund/sandwich naman ayun maganda na melody, yung lyrics e parang eheads lang datingan.
