Softball Pitch Types: The Riseball

- The riseball is a pitch unique to softball. It is hard for pitchers to master and for hitters to identify. What makes a riseball unique is that it breaks up and out of the zone, seemingly defying gravity in the process.
To throw a riseball, you need a good, tight snap. This requires you to have strong finger pressure on the seams and for your hand to be underneath the ball. Your arm will move in a sweeping motion, as if you are scooping sand from the ground.

Jose Bautista! it’s a no doubter!
Por Favor en español.
I paused it right in time and it shows me she’s throwing a high fastball
A rise ball does not "break up"...
You would have the throw the softball over 95 mph with twice the spin rate of the maximum spin rate seen by any professional pitcher in order to possibly start seeing upward lift.
All that you are seeing is a ball thrown to reach the catcher before the decline of its parabolic arch. The backspin just helps to slow/prolong the descent.
my guess, you've never faced a AA class men's fastpitch pitcher
i know Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a way to log back into an Instagram account??
I somehow forgot my login password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me!
