someone in the right seat is "whispering" not to be left out of the action... I usually like Jerry's videos. Love the real estate on the 400 series panels
Thanks Jerry! Great video as always and thanks for the comments on leaning the mixture. That was fast service! 😁 also liked the VSR display. Didn’t realize the 750 had that beyond the vnav feature. Helpful to know!
You don’t have to type the 1 when entering frequencies. Last 4 is good enough. Saves you some fumbling in the bumps and quicker to type it in. Enjoyed the video as usual.
I fly the same setup. Have you tried changing your altitude bug for climb or descent, then holding down the Alt button until you get the alt auto capture, then using a/p pitch up/down to do your alt chg? It should auto capture alt. Nice vid!
A question, Jerry. Instead of loading in the OAK VOR and doing it green needles, why not just load the procedure in the 750 flight plan (like any other procedure) and not bother switching nav sources back and forth?
we do load the departure as shown, the green needles are for backup and also showing how you can use the VOR as a backup because sometimes you will get a heading to intercept a Victor airway and it's easier to use the VOR IF you don't get a waypoint to track to, I look at what the heading is pointing to on the airway and ask ATC if we can navigate directly to the fix and then switch to magenta GPS
@@Jerry.Wagner Good point about VOR backup. It's pretty much a user preference thing. My choice is to stay in pink needles and use bearing pointer for VOR backup. I'm not sure why you feel VOR is easier than activating the appropriate leg of the flight plan for an heading to airway intercept.
Hey Jerry, I recently flew on Feb 15 from KSAC over to the bay to do the baytour and heard you on the radio - man I was so happy that moment - great video
no, when I was given the IAF and chose it as the waypoint it then asked if I wanted to fly the course reversal (HOLD) at that point I said no, activating vectors to final gives you the Glide Path diamond instead of the Carrat and flies you direct to the FAF
my early training with the "Crazy Bouncer" baseball games we played at Glenview's lower field prepared me for this, ( BTW your house's area right field was out of play)
Leaning to get not excesive CHT....TIT might be affected by previous mentioned CHT thus EGT thus TIT....Loads of good knowledge from Mr Mike Bush on SAVVY AVIATION webinars on TH-cam....you'll be amazed...HAPPY FLIGHTS!!
Jerry, Thanks for one of the best informational videoes I have seen. Keepem coming. I am new subscriber non-pilot.
Great video. Loved the departure, flight details and features on the GTN-750 & G600 and more. One of my most enjoyed videos of yours. Thanks Jerry.
Jerry, love your vids. You make me feel, like I’m in the right seat. Thanks

Thank you for sharing
Thanks for sharing Jerry and a great tour round the panel cheers

Enjoyed the 750 tutorial and I learned more from you than I have from the trainer download.
Awesome! And I remember how excited I was to get LORAN installed.
Very informative! How do you set up the upper data fields (DTK, TRK, GS, VSR) to display in place of the COM fields?
initially that configuration is set up by the avionics shop and then from the main setup menu you can modify the fields

Jerry, Great video....maybe Sportys should hire you to do videos..!!! Sooo interesting, thank you so much ❤
Great video.
Thank you for the details of the 750. quick q - is the weather radar on that airplane dangerous if it was on on the ground for folk nearby like some
It is, it also knows when your on the ground and ask if it's OK to turn on

only have the Garmin GAD43 not the 43E so the heading bug is not connected to the autopilot, I have a separate altitude pre-select for the King 200 AP

When you passed the IAF, why did you press vectors to final? Was the gps going to send you into the hold?

Is there a replacement for N513SJ coming in 2024?
Nice job my friend
my early training with the "Crazy Bouncer" baseball games we played at Glenview's lower field prepared me for this, ( BTW your house's area right field was out of play)
How do you arrange the data fields DTK, TRK,GS,VSR?
it's on the setup menu
5000ft....on pressurized A/C, turbo, bussy airspace, not leaning mixture...?
on Turbocharged engines we lean to the TIT (turbo inlet temperature) 1525-1560 degrees
DTK is desired track.
I can shoot an approach with steam gauges
I can too, I did in N3318Q for 23 years, King KNS-80 with steam gauges, was slow to go to glass and now I love it
@@Jerry.Wagner I'm slowly making the change. So many options.

Although highly unlikely it's only a matter of time until some asshole hacks GPS with a bunch of heavies on final IMC
