This scene genuinely nails perfectly how letting go of someone you're grieving goes. You have a distant memory of yourself as the age when they passed, but as you mature and realize you're needed more then your thoughts, and you finally reluctantly let go after long enough for you to have healed. You'll miss them, but it won't hurt anywhere near it used to.

The fact Clem love lee more then her own parents
Right that’s really sad but I’m sure she somewhat still cares about them in different ways
She still loves her parents deep down. But in this new world where the dead walk the earth and the living become monsters themselves, Lee was the very person that was there for Clementine. He saved her life that day he stumbled upon her home. While there was Kenny, Christa, Omid, Luke and Javi that helped her as well, in Clementine's eyes, Lee was the one that stood the tallest and the strongest. He risked his life for her on multiple occasions. He even came to save her with only ONE ARM (or with a zombie bite that was eating away at him). Out of all the people she had known and cared about, Lee was the one that stood up and fought until the very end.
RIP Lee. Makes me cry along with the players.

Lee was there for her all the way up until that point and even a while afterwards so it makes sense that she'd talk to him in her head rather than parents that never went through anything with her.

of course clem loves her parents. its just that lee was with her through some VERY traumatic events. as a child, that stuck with her. she accepted her parents death, knowing it was just what happened sometimes, but tbh, i think she felt guilty about lee. he died for her, and she couldnt forget him.

Lee's flashbacks are more memorable because he sacrificed himself to save someone he loved whereas The Last of Us 2 tried to manipulate the same thing by killing Joel in order to get them "cheaply"

Anyone can and SHOULD learn from TWD season 1. It set the bar up so high for protagonist deaths, and barely any other game made me feel the same way as I did with this game.
NaughtyDog forgot that the reason people liked TLOU, was because of the father daughter dynamic we saw evolve during the whole game. I've watched a lot of people playthrough TLOU2, and every one of them said that they enjoyed the flashbacks with Joel and Ellie more than the actual game, which says a lot.

I feel like it would've been really cool if they had built this dream sequence in at the very end in the last episode after Clem somehow get's attacked badly enough to go into a sort of tiny "coma". And end it by having an option to have Clem either say goodbye to Lee when he leaves at the end of the dream or to say that she wants to go with him. Ending the story by her either dying there or ending it in the boarding school with the other kids and AJ. I feel like a significant percentage of players might still choose to die there just to be able to "go" with Lee.
