Genius is putting it mildly. Its almost an insult to put All Stars on the same level with this presentation. I played with All Stars. Without a doubt he is the best T&T have produced thus far. God be with him always.
I don’t know what the judges heard that night but All Stars performance wasn’t even close to Renegades. Duvonne Stewarts genius arrangement with Renegades masterful delivery and execution was unparalleled that night. The result was a tie?????? Really??!!!!! This has got to be Politics!!!
Not only pure genius, what he does with songs is just plain magical. Without doubt he is way ahead of other arrangers. Hope the young ones coming up are paying attention.

I WOULD LIKE DUVONNE TO HAVE ALL HIS MUSIC SCORED, AND THEN GIVEN TO A FULL SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA TO PLAY ALL HIS ARRANGMENT....AND HE BECOMES THE NEW "CHOPIN" FOR REAL PEOPLE THIS MUSIC HAS SO MUCH MOVEMENTS IN IT .....
This was my first live panorama experience. It was out of this world! Thank you for positing this so I can sort of relive it. The glitz, the sweetness of the music, the happiness of everyone was all around and so palpable. I was so proud to be a trini❤ It was an overwhelming experience. We have so much talent and so much to be proud of; I wish we all remembered that for the whole year and loved and respected each other.
Well said! When i sit in new york and listen to music played at this level on our national instrument, i tear up. It really reaches deep. This is what i grew up with.
This is a panorama winning tune right here! The audience can hear the story telling throughout. This is what we want to jump up to in every pan show throught this year! #Sweet
A new and highest standard ..They really overcame the All Stars magic on a final night and congrats to All Stars as well and all the bands and dedicated musucians. A victory for our culture and unique people. ❤
Any one knows that is Jit who first saw Duvone playing pan as a little boy in Tobago 🇹🇹 and send for him,,believe it or not, Watch meh, Duvone will be the best of the best in the world 🌎 watching from NYC
I listened to both ALL STARS and BP RENEGADES. ALL Stars were thrilling: lots of musical dexterity displayed by pannists and jump-up carnival music creativity by their arranger LEON SMOOTH EDWARDS. However, Trinidad All Star's tune "INVENTOR" was marred by too many old arrangement tricks utilised by Edwards, i.e. runs up and down the musical scale, which made up for much of what Edwards had to say. By comparison, Renegades arranger Duvone Stewart told a story with much orchestration, reminiscent of Len Boogisie of Phase 2 Pan Groove, and imagination: varying the tempo while also displaying the dexterity, balance and skills of his musicians. I clearly understood Duvone Stewart's musical references in his DNA. For example; Benjai's "AH Trini" , the national Anthem, etc. I have long referred to Trinidad All Stars Band as the "SHOUTER BAPTIST BAND". Growing up in North East Trinidad as a youth, I oftentimes stopped to listen to the numerous Baptist Religious prayer music, and singing on the streets of Port of Spain and in churches throughout Trinidad. I am totally convinced that Leon "Smooth" Edwards was heavily influenced by this music growing up as a youth. I can hear the classic Baptist tambourines and shouter cadences and particularly his specific Trinidad All Stars rhythm, which distinguishes this Band from all others. You know it's TAS when you hear it! I wish someone would ask Edwards if that was the case. All that being said, I give the very slight edge to BP Renegades as this year's 2024 Panorama winner.
Panorama now is a joke renegades fans go back and listen to bees melody and t he gades from the 1990's then you would remember what sweet pan really was and you will realize these days it's just noise actually it's the same for most bands especially Trinidad all stars and desperd
