I think this type of music gives people a sense of belonging to a community. On the surface it's very angry but the undercurrent is people banding together in mutual support. But you can see how all that energy could be dangerous if they all decided to blame their problems on minorities or whatnot.
But that would subvert the message of their music. Hate breed is the anti-hate machine. We are about personal responsibility and not blaming anybody for your mistakes in life, but also to live in such a way that the credit you take for your achievements are also only on you. Self control, self motivation, and embracing your fellow humans is the message.
Love listening Hatebreed when doing my squats, deadlifts and benchpress in the gym. Power!
