Is there a 'post-modern' element to the self-reflexive Kierkegaard, using pseudonyms to interrogate himself? In other words, the voice of his writings - in a positive sense - is fragmented and lacking a clear, unified dogma. Examining life from all angles and without positing the authority of one single vision; stripped of the arrogance that writing in his own name would otherwise have.

Hey. I really respectfully would like to just point out, that embracing differnt inner parts of voices doesn't have to be directly pathologized. The history of psychology is full of theories that refer to the multitude of parts inside a psyche. From "Voice Dialogue Theory" to "Internal Family Systems" to Jung's "Archetypes" and even "Schema Therapy" or "Gestalt" you have very healthy functional forms of embracing multiple inner facets. Sorry for pointing this out so directly and thus so rudely. It's just that I've noticed myself and others hurt our own selves, with exactly this form of pathologization and may be just sensitive to it. Alas, all the best.

He "possibly" suffered from many ailments that we have modern diagnosis for these days. I suspect ADHD,anhedonia and some sort of bipolar as well. Kierkegaard describes in detail about being incapable of satisfaction from activity and of course his mention of anxiety which was more than existential.

Ah yes, therapy and obsessive over psychologizing. Such a 21st century response to the works of a profound thinker
