FreeboCrysis i rly like what u did with the new maps and gamemodes and stuff but could u leave some servers on with like normal settings normal original crysis maps like mesa train and stuff and idk why but since the gamespy shutdown the crysis pupulation is way down and settings normal server could be the answer and also im gona share this but i suggest to everyone to share this to we need crysis 1 players if we want to have multyplayer uts like u cant have a country without civilians and without players it could bring to an end to crymp.net
I just have 15 minutes so I'm gonna answer with long reply as I always do (yes I know it sucks) :)
You are 100% wrong that Crysis population is down because of settings. Before death of GameSpy there were many - most popular servers - even some of my own IA servers - which had no classic settings. Even Mesa servers in 2011-2014 were always modded and had many extra functions + extra limits - and still I could see (I was counting that, even have screens) in early 2014 - around 150 players at the same time on all servers on the servers list. Of course after GameSpy was shut down - and the very same day CryMP.Net was started (16th of july) - population from 150 (visible at the same time) dropped down to 5-15. In 2015-2016 it was sometimes 20 but still it was not about settings whatsoever. 95% of old players didn't know how to type "how to play Crysis MP in 2014/2015" in google so they simply had no idea that CryMP.Net exists. And even though they have found my video tutorial - they were AFRAID to enter empty server. They didn't see servers full of players so they were leaving. It has nothing to do with settings. People just love to take - never give. All they had to give is 5-10 minutes of their time to wait for others on empty servers and others would join. But this is not how it works. Empty - means dead. There is no logic in that. But we couldn't do anything about it.
As you can see CryMP.Net has already 2,5 K !!! registered users. And even another 2 K of players are not even registered and can play freely. And imagine that only 30-50 are active players. The reason for this is people don't care about the game, learning how to play it. And it's fine it's their choce but we can't help it anymore.
So your request makes perfect sense - but only if we were not trying it all already. we had hundreds of hours of discussions about all that. Trying many ways, giving many choices.
So finally there are always some servers with classic maps on-line. Classic settings also are on some of them. On some servers you can even vote for any IA map (classic or new) on others for any of PS map. There is no limit for that and everything people want - they can get it if they try.
The thing that people are sometimes not playing for 2-3 months and then they are back for next 3 and play (20 people on one server sometimes) every day (like it was during summer now - on my Mesa Nostalgia server) depends not on settings or maps at all.
Like I said before - people just don't want to join empty servers or those with 3 players so only fault is on players and ignoration. We can not do anything more about it 2 years of works on the project, settings things the way people were requesting was really enough. The rest depends on players. Me and my friends - we will always join it for years. But we also sometimes need some break in it to avoid hating this as some kind of duty :) Believe me or not. But I was checking this network's forum, servers, e-mails, youtube comments for last 700 days. Every day no exception. I was also running 50 friday events - every time I was there for 2-5 hourse - every time.
So now it's time for break. I'm sure we're gonna be back on all those ideas probably next year.
But right now network is 100 fine, nothing is missing (number of players has nothing to do with that because it depends only on them).
Everything is working for players the way it should. There is huge choce of maps, game modes - so it can live it's own way. I know that you can help but - really you can't do ANYTHING more here. People will always come and go. I have in plans to sponsor and run this network for next 10 years. Even for 2-3 players it makes sense for me. But I have no way anymore to convince people to play almost 10 years old game when they don't care about this game :) I do care so do few of my friends - and it's fine. If you feel some power inside to promote it - feel free to do so. It took me (not a bullshit) around 2000 hours (sounds crazy I know but it's only about 3 hours a day - and you can trust me sometimes it was 12 hours) just during last 2 years to work on maps (I don't mean my previous old maps but only those for this network) + mods here, both websites, and other things including long hours of discussions with users, etc. I just can't put more time in that :) I need to stop and move to other projects also besides I have a life to live :) I'm glad it all works so cool here but nothing more can be done. Even if you mean just starting classic maps (which are alredy there in rotation and in voting as I stated above).
I know that we sometimes get requests like - "please make this kind of settings - more players will come" - I saw it many times - the problem is we made all possible settings, options, choices, tools, starting from classic unchanged - and it's not bringing players. But try to enter some Mesa or some IA map on weekend's evening and sometimes even 20 players are fallowing you. So it's all about people being scared of exploration, parkour, or just waiting on EMPTY server. If nobody starts , nobody joins 95% of players are going to say "it's dead" and they don't realize it's them who is making it dead - just because they don't join :) Sorry I've been posting this so many times. Sorry for repeating myself.
So feel free to start any server you want with any maps, and play 24/7 - it's all up and running. You can request server like this on Forum. There are happy coincidences sometimes. And more people are entering single server just "by the way" and sometimes it grows to 20 players even in monday afternoon so - really - YOU NEVER KNOW. But me as admin of network I can't do anything more here. If almost classic servers like Mesa Nostalgia are not enough. If classic unchanged Mesa or Steel Mill are not enough along with brand new maps - that means people simply don't care. There are so many new MP games - I can't blame them. I just love so many things in Crysis MP - none of new games is as good as that. But for most of people there is no sense to play with 10 people on server of 10 years old game - so you will never force them to do that. It's their choice. I will continue meeting on events here probably next year but it won't be anymore to bring more players - it will be only for fun of real fans. And I don't mean haters I mean only nice people who want to have fun and work on skills during fair play competitions :)
PS: about your account. If you mean CryMP.Net account. Please simply start new account with other e-mail and your new password password (I can't see password but I can move your new codded password to old account - so you will be able to login there). Let me know after creating new account and I will do that. I don't even know what is the name of your account. I need e-mail and account name to check that and confirme identity. FreeboCrysis idk how you wrote all this in 15 mins but that doesent matter what matters is that i agree with what you said 100% but people are stupid so many new games came out and all of the people that played crysis before the shutdown want the same game but 90% of them eather didint even search didint want to waste their "precious" time on that or they stopped playing crysis
i mean i like the new things and stuff i didint say there should only be classic servers and games i said that people might like classic better but thats just my opinion but everyday i play crysis i play sp a mission a day trying to complete it perfectly and after that i hop on a server i switch between different server in a course of 10 mins and that rly bothers me bec there are no other players joining and by all means people should play this game i mean its a greate game before the shut down it was full of players but also full of hackers i rly liked playing on the modded servers back then but now they are overmoded kinda i mean i like the new gamemodes but changing an old gamemode completly is not what i like making new gamemodes is good but hey thats just my opinion and thank you for your time.

You're right it took me almost 20 minutes not 15. But I've been writing the same things about this "dead game" problem so many times (like 50 probably here on TH-cam and on Forums ) for last 2 years that I don't have to think much every time. But it's kind of borring. Like you were saying - but I won't say people are stupid - this is other thing to talk about :) I would say 95% of gamers are totall ignorants. They just fallow any new game - doesn't matter if they are good in that if they train there, if they loose their "precious" time to know the game. They just go there because it's popular/new. It was the same with Crysis years ago. 95% didn't play it because they really knew how unique this game is - but only because it was new and their friends were playing and because they could crack it and get for free and all that :) So really NO WONDER why they are not back now when new great network is on-line, when there are no hackers at all (well during 2 years I've seen 2 hackers - TWO !! :) )
Yeah some servers need classic settings and maps. And they are on-line. There were many servers with 100% classic settings for over a year and that didn't change anything. Besides classic settings are bad for both: New players (they die all tie time because somebody can spamm them with gauss or grenades or claymores) and for pro players (some of them are crying all the time that it's stupid server with noobish settings where somebody can camp with gauss while they want to play PRO way) - So believe me it's not possible to make server perfect for everybody - this is why it is the way it is - mulitichoice :) Anybody can choose what server he wants to play on. The problem is there are sometimes only few players so it's hard to get everybody together on single server. Really we can't do anything about it.
Like I said before I don't regret hudnreds of hours that I've spent for maps, extra mods and game modes, videos or websites but I really sometimes regret hours I've spent to make things some ignorant people wanted on servers, settings that I didn't like but they wanted - then instead of receiving "thanks" I received only hate, ignoration and insults that it's still not good or it's changed too much. So this is why I'm saying it's no sense to make anymore changes since classic are there also.
But you are right if people were fair, not lazy, not ignorant - all that would make sense to listen to needs. I'm glad you understand what I mean. Maybe in the futre we will be able to play together - maybe next year on some classic maps or new ones for fun. As real fans of the game not just som random ignorants who come for 7 days - to say "this game is amazing I'm going to learn it and play every day" and after 1 week, when I was trying to teach them jumping and introducing them to my Crysis friends - they are gone FOREVER and don't give a damn anymore :)

Yes. 3 years of the network already. On 5th birthday will come some nice birthday video. No need for 3rd and 4th. BTW in autumn this year Crysis is going to be 10 years old game already. Imagine that. Still remains unique with amazing mechanics and graphics.

is there any australian or SEA players and Server now?
Hi. There were this year few Australian players on European servers playing with us. Of course ping was around 250-300. But still they were playing. Unfortunately it's hard to find Australian server (I mean last 2,5 years of our network) - but anybody can create own server here, put "Australia" in it's name, enter for a while and wait. Other people from that region should join from time to time. I think summer is better time for that. But you can already try. Good luck and have fun.

That's great. During last summer there were few 20 players sessions. But never during the winter yet :) so it's nice to hear about that. Maybe some day there will be even 30. Thanks for the info and have fun :)
