It was against hollywood law to change costumes in those days! Lost in space, wild wild west, land of the giants, the only one that makes sense is star trek because they wore uniforms that reflected their rank.

That's backwards. Young people today do not have series like this, or You Are There, or The Great Adventure, or Profiles in Courage, or even Captain Z-Ro to suggest to them that history is (as You Are There said) filled with those events that alter and illuminate our time, and encourage them to learn about the subject. They get Doctor Who, where anything historical is (mostly) an after-thought.
Their first stop, at the Grand Canyon in 1547, was likely to meet up with Coronado and do something with him. But apparently Coronado figured whatever it was he had to do by himself.
As Earth rotates and change poition with the galaxy rotation, is logical that ttime travelers arrive at different places on Earth each arrivaleven in space in some episodes, many time travel shows even books forget this!
One story goes that Fox/Disney are keeping "freebies" of most Irwin shows on a very short leash. This approach limits "downloading"...Season 1 of Voyage is also locked up to an extent but somewhat available if you know how to dig for it. Color Voyage is widely available thankfully...

28.40 Music is from 1959 Journey to the Centre of the Earth where Pat Boone is in the salt caves. Irwin Allen not only used stock footage but apparently others music too.
Irwin used a lot of Bernard Hermann's music in "Lost In Space" too. Notably "The Day The Earth Stood Still" and "Beneath the 12 mile Reef". Rumour has it that Hermann was not at all happy about it.
It was amazing music. It's noteworthy that is was made with all traditional instruments the lack of synthesisers and electronic technology really adds to it's character.
Tony Newman eventually found himself trapped in the 24th century where he granted the rights to his likeness to a holographic artist who created the Vic Fontaine character, a popular lounge singer.
The computers used were decommissioned SAGE computers used by the USAF. They were put to pasture in 1959. IA picked them up. At one time they were the real deal.
Okay, what the hell happened to the two people from 1,000,000 A.D.? (I think we can safely assume that Neemon either became the world’s first apiarist, if he made friends with the bees, or was stung to death.)
I really enjoyed this episode as there was a lot happening which you'd expect when the heroes are chasing a villain through time. A William Hartnell episode of Dr Who called The Chase had the villains (the Daleks) chasing tje Doctor and his companions through time. The Time Tunnel episode also benefited by having Robert Duval as a guest star. Maybe because they tried to fit so much in the episode the ending seemed to be abrupt. I liked the theme of breaking free and discovering individuality.
SPOILER WARNING.... I saw this on TV where they cut the teaser for the next episode, so it was just the actual story ending and straight to credits. So Robert Duval is in a massive bee hive and you can hear the buzzing of a swarm getting closer. Everyone else is transferred to safety but him. The General asks Anne is she can transfer him too. She looks at her controls and says "no". End credits. I mean...wow...it was like a Hitchcock or Twilight Zone ending... he's left to be stung to death by monster bees! And the irony of course is the way he embraced the future society where they lived in a hive like bees. Great story and a guest star who steals every scene he's in.
For half a century my kid brain has been creeped and and remembered that guy pathetically trying to hide from the arrival of the giant bees. My memory had better production values.
Yeah, I remember watching this in its original run when I was a kid, and that scene really creeped me out. And it's still in my memory after 50-odd years!
Funny how Tony has fights, rolls around the ground etc and his green jumper never shows dirt or tears and he also has not a hair out of place. Bit of a joke that. Doug shows getting dirty etc.
There's an extended version of this episode in a scene in which the giant bees came back, noticed something moving in the hive then proceeded to sting the shit out of Niman (Robert Duvall).....😆😆😆
Yes. Duvall cut rather a large swath through science-fiction in the 60s. Besides here he could be seen in an episode of "The Twilight Zone", two "Outer Limits" stories, a "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea", a "The Wild Wild West" and a co-starring role with James Caan in Robert Aldrich's "Countdown".

Hey, it's a space age Saturday Matinee Serial. Then it's easy to go along with it. Remember Fred Flintstone and Alley Oop and Raquel Welch.

And their hair stays neatly groomed and never even a 5 o clock shadow on their mugs. Yeah, truly incredible.

Avoiding copyright infringement bot. Though a full screen wouldn't be watchable in 480p.

The “ HIVE “ - just like today .
Oops, no dinos in 1 million BC! or at least any that hadn't evolved into birds. The others all died 64 million years before.

Why does the open area of the Time Tunnel complex look like the same area of the Forbidden Planet?
Artistic inspiration. Same reason that the Star Trek transporter is so much like the hyperdrive-deceleration stations in the same film.
15:30 in any case, very human-like : totalitarism in this brave new world
So, this is kind of an early version of the history channel.

The Borg Collective race was probably stolen from this series.
Or, um, from, you know, bees? "Hive mind" and all that? (and, later, the idiotic 'queen' which sort of undermined the whole premise)
