A lot of us looked at the final score and was like had we beat Lakeland like we should've, we would've easily beat Aquinas too, and won state." We got beat by St. Thomas Aquinas in the championship game the next year, and that Rutherford team was the best in school history. We only had a few seniors, and some of the players that replaced us were even better than we were. It baffled me that they lost to Aquinas, but now I see why.
