      At 16:48 is it % of complaints as shown on y-axis or complaints for every 10,000 claims? If a company is getting as high as 30-40% complaints it shouldn't even exist and don't think IRDAI will allow such high complaint ratio? If it's complaints for every 10,000 claims, showing as % is extremely misleading and misselling.

    You have missed major point here. Care Supreme has limitation, you can take treatment only in Zone of your postal address, company will not pay if claim is in other zone.
    Example: I am residing in Bangalore, my address is Bangalore. In case I had to take treatment in Mumbai or Delhi, that will be considered as different zone w.r.to Bangalore and CLAIM WILL BE REJECTED.

    I have been using HDFC Ergo for last 4 years. I got 3 claims and 1 rejection. The customer care support was very poor. There was a guy who handled claims in Kochi office, He did not even file my case on time . Delayed nearly 1 month. Then when I ask for claim he was like, within 1 week, within 1 week. After a month when I contacted customer care they told us about 27 days enquiry 😂… then show continues. After long chats and wait for nearly 10 months I left the game 😢.

    Before you compare a clear understanding of all the 3 plans is important. Care Supreme provides 600% guaranteed bonus .Upto 45 years and above 75 years it is built in. age 46-75 its optional. Its not 500% as you say. Multiple restoration is available in Care Supreme and Re Assure 2.0 and Re Assure. In HDFC Optima SecureRestoration happens only once in a year. you have to pay extra foe multiple restoration. Care & Niva Bupa have no room category capping, can go even upto suite room. HDFC Optima Secure only single AC room. If the eligible room not available we land up paying a huge money from our pocket in HDFC .In Re Assure 2.0 once the restoration is triggered its applicable for ever . In Care and HDFC plan every year it has to be triggered and it happens only after the 1st claim. A humble request while comparing some important features useful to customers should not be ignored which ever be the plan.

    It's too confusing while buying any health policy.
    My major doubt is on how insurers consider an illness as PED. Because we don't do full body checkup before buying policies so often times we ourselves don't know our PEDs. In what cases do the claims get rejected?

    What if someone has already hidden his pre existing disease in policy and its 3-4 years running?
    Someone did not disclose PED as he was guided that PED will be taken care of automatically after the waiting period so its not important to disclose.
    What should one do now to disclose his PED to insurer???
    PED was detected 7-8 years ago and policy was taken 3 years ago.

    Pls let me know what does critical illness cover add on means???

    • @dittoinsurance
      @dittoinsurance  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey! Critical illnesses like cancer are hard to deal with. Granted, your medical bills will be taken care of if you have an extremely comprehensive health insurance policy. But once diagnosed with a debilitating disease, you’ll be forced to take a break. You won’t be able to go to work. And your family will have to make do without your income.
      But if you opt for a critical illness benefit, things won’t have to be this grim. In the event, you are diagnosed with a critical illness, the insurer will pay out a portion of your term cover in cash to help you tide this crisis. It could be 10 lakhs. It could be 50 lakhs. It could be 1 Crore. All you have to do is choose the amount when opting for the benefit and you can use this money to replace your lost income if you are ever diagnosed with a critical illness.
      A critical illness rider will make your life so much easier. But remember - most policies will pay out the corpus from your sum insured. And your term cover will reduce by an equal amount.

    Hi Ditto team. Is it possible to have a discussion with u tomorrow Sunday as my curet polciy is expiring on,05.8.24. I have just come across to your channel and there is no slot available before 7.8.24. I need a advise as I m not happy with current insurance.

      @dittoinsurance  7 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Hi there,
      We understand your situation. Since your policy has expired and you’re currently in the grace period, changing your insurance might lead to a loss of benefits. We recommend staying with your current insurance policy during this period and getting it ported 2 months before expiry when the window opens. However, if you’d like to discuss this further, we’d be happy to assist you with a quick call today.

    I used to be with Apollo Munich which eventually got accquired by HDFC Ergo. Paid premiums for the past 12 years no claims because I have an employer coverage. However HDFC Ergo barely serviced me. There was an agent who never ever called. Also they kept my policy as Standard Health with minimal increase in the Sum Assured (for making no claims). I am 50 years and my retirement is at 60. I migrated to NIVA BUPA because for each year they double the Sum Assured in case of no claims. I dont intend to make claims on my personal policy because employer covers me already. Atleast when i retire i will have a 1crore SA considering the medical inflation this may be ok.

      @@vishalkokate7345 It's always better if you buy a policy now. iRDAI has a rule that no claims must be rejected if the policy is paid continuously for more than 8 years. It's an advantage. Since you are young, buy a policy now and hopefully there will be no claims for 8years and you will be safe after that. It's not a good idea to buy a policy nearing age 60.
