I'll never forget that I caught 385 pokemons in Emerald and only missed out on Registeel. My classmate killed it and saved the game. That was also 15 years ago.

When I was 7, I stole FireRed from Fred Meyer. I was truly a little thief. I snuck it into my jacket and undid the packaging, opened the container, snuck the cartridge out then put the container back on the shelf. I was so proud of myself at the time lol

As I remember, when I played the version of leaf green, I was around 10 years old, and now I am almost 30 years old, time flies, it’s so nostalgia while you were switch on the game boy, all the memory pop out in my mind, I had a wonderful childhood.

I remember playing this game, I had beat the game and me and the Bois in the 7th grade would form a party where we'd do wager matches and trades and I remember this one kid and he'd caught every Pokémon in the game and he'd sell them for either real money or a Pokémon/s of equal value

I miss Pokémon, I have not played any Pokémon game since the 3rd generation, long time ago. I remember watching Pokémon on TV (1st generation) every Saturday morning. Glad to see this franchise still going strong after all these years.
How’s a good time to start again! Due to scarlet and violet just don’t look at any guides or anything for no spoilers cause the game is buggy at points but it’s still good

As a 90s child I played the original Pokémon blue and red, but this sort of revived the franchise for me. I probably did not feel as excited to play Pokémon as I did with Pokémon leaf green, I was older and felt much more in control of things, so I played the heck out of it not to mention the game boy SP had 💡 which was amazing 🤩
This makes me feel so nostalgic watching this. I had so many shiny Pokémon but my two favs were my Red Gyarados & shiny Snorlax .. My friends used to be so jealous cause I had so many shiny Pokémon

NeppyNeppy Nepu my first shiny was a koffing in fiery path. didnt know about shinies (yet) but knew it had to be special. wanted to play ruby again and didnt know that i could transfer forward (also had lost my hg version) rip special the koffing... (i was super creative with his name)
My first was a Voltorb in the power plant with Zapdos,i never heard of Shiny Pokemon at that point ,at first i was " WTF?, Is it a glitch? Blue?" So i caught it,and never understood why stars appeared when i sent him out,i found similar different colored pokemons owned by other trainers in the game.
My first shiny Pokemon was a Mankey in Pokemon Ultra Sun.
@@tyler6643 in USUM I have two BOXES of shinies. My favorite is my Shiny Xerneas. Four hours of shiny hunting. Go to catch it, and my game freaked out. Changing the balls constantly. Caught it first try in a BEAST BALL of all things. Meant to use a quick ball. Then I name it...name does the same thing, changing constantly what letter I'm on, found out later it's cuz the circle pad got stuck, so it's named shiny. Still gotta rename it. But I'm honestly happy about it. Meanwhile now I'm going for a shiny rayquaza. Master ball ready and all. 200+ hours. Nothing

Same, I just watched diamond yesterday.
I remember not having the best memories of when I was younger with my first Pokemon game, Pokemon silver. I was so bad at the game. I never got to the first gym, because I forgot to give the egg to professor elm, then wondered why I couldn't continue in the game. So really my only memories in the game were choosing cyndaquil, the rival, and the fact that I got stuck in the game.

god i love these kind of videos sm. so thanks before i ramble lmao. im currently working on a living dex in soul silver so im slowing playing thru all my gen 1 - 4 games. anyways one of my favorite combinations for casual play, at least for pokemon with meh movesets is fly/dig + toxic, cause of the turns they take. in casual play its a nice stall tactic. in competitive battling its asking to get setup on tho. anyways i imagine thats prob why salamence had toxic. flamethrower prob would be the choice nowadays but i still like our child logic. watching these vids makes me wish i started longplay files sooner as well. my longplay games are diamond and soulsilver and while i do still have a ton of memories, a lot of them got stored on pokemon ranch. anyways after i finish my living dex i think a cool way to celebrate so to speak would be restarting all my temp files to finally make longplay files for each game. so over the years as i play i can look back on even more memories! thanks for this wonderful trip down memory lane, and the inspiration to keep going 💖✨

Fun fact Espeon and Umbreon cannot be attained in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen do to there being no night and day cycle so it was virtually impossible to get them

Gen 3 games on the SP/advanced was the best. The perfection of a game that was Emerald, getting all the frontier bosses to spawn took me 100+ hours loved it so much I did it again as an adult. And LG/FR gave us nostalgia as kids and then again as adults. Thats 2 layers of nostalgia in one game! Plus dude your team absolute Uber/OU to the max then UU Sharpedo, cause he is a freakin shark. The exact same conclusion I would have also came to as a kid. Absolutely perfect childhood team.
It’s very bittersweet for me to see all the trade evolutions. I had friends who played Pokémon in the neighborhood, but none of us had a link cable. Happy to see that wasn’t the case for others though!

Thank god for ORAS giving us a 100% Feebas spot. Finally got to run a Milotic after all these years of being taunted.
Frie Red and Leaf Green at the definitive versions of Kanto imo and might have the best post game of any pokémon game. the islands were such a great addition. 7 new mini regions to explore plus a handful of jhoto pokemon on them. i think its even better than silver and golds post game sure you get to go back to Kanto but its such a watered down version of Kanto. these were all new and all original. though i do wish they let you get a Jhoto starter after beating the game. the only way to get them in this era was to trade them from colosseum and i was never super big into that game so i never ended up getting any of them
Dude I just started playing my old games again and I hopped on my leaf green - my Charizard has that EXACT same moveset, and I also LOVED the move blast burn. So much so that I named my charizard "Burn"

I remember when in my first emerald play through, I saw my older cousin used a Mylotic to win contests so then I wanted to try the same too and then when I started my hunt for feebas it took me about two hours! Then after feeding it pokeblocks it got full and it was close to max beauty,I was so o mad at that moment, I almost wanted to throw my phone! Then I had to catch it another time and thankfully the second time I got a Mylotic for using other berries that enhances both states besides chesto berry!!! Thank You it you read this whole story!!!

I remember hunting for Feebas in ruby and finding one of the correct tiles and catching as many as I could while I was there. I ended up with a box full of feebas 😂

When the US was in lockdown in 2020, I went back to my SoulSilver save file after years and ten years after starting that save file I found two shinies (Graveler and Tangela) in the space of a week

I just finished leaf green today! Been trying to get every gen games so I can play them because I missed out true childhood.
