@@im_Tsu I speak only truth. You’ve taught me so much about epic 7. Your “how to play” series is such a strong tool for students like myself. Gives us goals during our gear grind

This is the best single equipment guide I've ever seen. It's not vague and goes to the point I know that for specific builds the substats may vary, but having a general feeling on which sub and main stats works together, makes it easier to understand!
As always, in depth and chock full of incredibly useful information. I'm still hard pressed to find another E7 content creator who puts this much detail into their videos.
Sometimes I wish I had these information when I was still new to the game. It would've saved me so much time. Thankyou for the guide and I hope newer players can learn a lot from this video.
I've kind of figured most of this out after playing for a year now, but there's a bunch I haven't picked up and this filled all those gaps. Great video, appreciate it!
I've watched quite a few guides trying to understand gearing in E7 and this is hands down the best one that I've found. Other guides I still felt quite confused when looking at my gear, this guide I feel much more confident on what I need to look for or how to prevent wasting my materials on shitty items. Thank you!
Returning player and never learned this stuff back then, super informative and helped me understand the gear system wayyyy better! Subbed and thank you for the guide!
Dude you are an absolutely a monster doing this guide, and I learned a lot about this sometimes even with year playing this game the equip system gets confusing sometimes we don't want to make mistakes and you know but thanks a good guide indeed
Very good video, gonna recommend it to my friends who are new or still not fully understanding the equipment concept of e7. It's alot of effort to explain it to such detail and you've done it so i'll save my time explaining it to them with just this video.
fantastic vid this is my day2 of playing, and i feel like now i know everything i should at this point i've watched some beginner guides and advice, but aside from "hunt is the most important part of the game" no one actually explains how does gear work, or what stats/substats should we even look for, or how "rerolling equipment" would even look like thanks a lot
i'd argue against not rolling the epic 75 gear, it's fairly rare to get red pieces of gear, and 4 "usable" subs is even less common, especially in terms of necks or rings, i literally have rolled like 90% health/defense necks and rings and no dps accesories... so these pieces are pretty valuable for starters
Incredible guide!!! Early game player here well on my way farming wyvern and one thing I've always been unsure on is purple gear. So far I've been largely ignoring purple gear and seeing you roll those purple gear in this video has me feeling like I shouldn't be ignoring them. I'm just not sure though. Aside from speed checking should I worry about purple gear? Especially if they don't have 3 preferred substats at the start.
Depends on where you are in the game. If you literally have nothing like that piece, roll it just to get started. If you own no Attack% rings for example, it's better to have some with suboptimal stats instead of nothing. You can just feed the ring off later once you find an upgrade. I feel like new players have anxiety about waiting for a perfect piece that may never come. Epic Seven should be about slowly progressing. The faster you can gear heroes the sooner you can have more fun. Even on my climbs to high rank, if you look at my account reviews I have so much suboptimal stuff.
@@im_Tsu Thank you very much. I definitely was doing it wrong as I do have nothing like those pieces but was still mindlessly throwing the purple pieces away. And that part about new players having anxiety about perfect pieces is definitely me. I was just focusing on reds and only with all the right substats. Before I saw this video I thought any flat stat not named speed was an instant throwaway. I've messed up quite a bit haha.
my man explained everything except what the stats actually do, what does speed do and why do we want it? what is effectiveness? how does defense work? is it a flat subtraction of damage? good video but kinda felt like you didnt actually go into this for someone whose completely new to the game like ya said in the beginning XD gonna watch some other videos and read some things and then come back to here.
Perfect timing! I'm working on a new player video as we speak. I'll include these in that video. In case you still don't know: Attack - Increases Damage Health - Increases HP Defense - Reduces Damage taken Critical Hit Chance - Chance to land a Critical Strike Critical Hit Damage - Damage multiplier if you Critical Strike (250% Crit Damage is a 2.5x Multiplier) Speed - The fastest character goes first in a fight. Higher Speed means a higher rate of gaing Combat Readiness. When Combat Readiness reaches 100%, it is that characters turn. Effect Resist - Increases Chance to Resist Debuffs and Effects Effectiveness - Cuts through Enemies Effect Resistance in order to Land Debuffs or Effects (Does not increase percentage Chance to proc debuffs or Effects, just eliminates ER)
Probably the only reason I didn't give up on the game, I couldn't understand the equipment is system back then so I have HP type equipments on my DPS heroes.
Hi, great guide, you put alot of effort on it and I'm fallowing it. I have a question regarding farming the hunts though: would you say is worth to save all my stamina for the days that the rates are increased or just spend it all every day farming whatever I'm focusing on?
Both. I usually spend the stamina the game gives me every day on Hunts and burn through all my leifs during rate ups...which are this weekend by the way
One unanswered question I have regarding reforging, is which slots do you get the most value out of reforging? The material is pretty scarce and I am having trouble prioritizing which slots to use my reforge material on. Also, thanks for all the effort you put into this.
I usually choose Right Side Gear first as the Main Stat gains are the most (Usually Boots first). Me personally, I Reforge all the gear on one character before I move on to the next one. I know it's a pretty big grind. Hopefully this helps you.
@@im_Tsu Definitely helps as this was along the lines of what I was thinking, though I wasn't sure. I'll focus on right side gear. Probably won't focus on a single character though since I'm still new enough that I frequently get better gear than I have and regear units every free unequip.
Basically, the way you can think of it is each character has a base of 100 Effectiveness. At 100% Effectiveness, you basically cut through 200% ER. Against someone like Destina, you still aren't going to land it. A lot of the really high ER cleansers at the highest level are like 280%+ ER which means that if you really want to guarantee something lands, 180~ish is where you max out. Again, depends on character and what you're trying to do. @100%, you have a fairly good shot of hitting most non-Soul Weavers in the game.
thanks for the content. but, why I can’t find any videos that talking about “crafting material” section in alchemist steeple? how do I unlock all of them? right now, I still cannot craft the highest wyvern mats in there, but I can craft the highest banshee mats. i don’t know how to unlock it, because no one ever talk about it. maybe it won’t effect the cracting equipment progress, but I just wanna know how to unlock it. Do you know how? Thank you!
I believe if you check your Reputation tab, the "Rewards" for certain achievements unlock these. I think it's "Beat Wyvern 3, Wyvern 5, Wyvern 7" etc. etc.
@@im_Tsu ah right Ty so much, also this was a really informative and consumable guide. Love the stats display, I'll be using it going forward for speed checking!!
Weird to ask since I'm not understanding it properly (as taught here). Is it possible to provide a chart of any equipment piece with a certain substat not worth in keeping on +3 or +6. For example, I saw that any piece below 4 Speed is discarded.
So the issue with that is that there are so many permutations a piece of gear can have by +6. It'd be very difficult to provide a table like that. What I was trying to convey in the video is the ranges a piece of gear can have so you can undertand whether or not a piece has rolled poorly. For example, let's say you started with a piece with 5% Attack, 4% Defense, 4% Health, and 4 Speed. This piece has 2 rolls that are the lowest possible and a below average Attack roll as well. But it has Speed. If you rolled it to +6 and it rolled 4% Attack and 4% Health, you might consider stopping. Your substat rolls are very low and not much higher than a starting piece with high rolls (Which would be 8%). Now if you had rolled 2x into Health, at 4% each, it'd be 12% which is still low. Perhaps though at +9, it hits an 8% Health...and then another 8% Health at +12. Since you rolled Health 4x, even though it started low, it's still very valuable because the total is very high. In this case, you might end up with a piece with well over 30% Health by the end but still only 4 Speed. That's still a valuable piece and should not be discarded. It is important to recognize what the piece of equipment currently looks like versus what the maximum it could have rolled is. If the piece is lower than an average piece, you should stop to think about whether it is worth wasting gold and XP on it. If it has no chance of being an upgrade for one of your heroes, you're better off stopping. Gearing in E7 is frustrating because of this dance. You're unsure if you should continue but you want to continue because you need gear to play the game. Do you stop? Or do you not? I tried my best here and my best in the video to help you answer that question. At the end of the day, that's not a question myself or someone else can answer. Only you. By giving you the most amount of knowledge I can... I hope to give you the tools to arrive at an answer you are happy with. If there's anything else I can explain better, let me know.
Just saw this comment now. To answer your question: It depends on the character. For someone like Hwayoung, I value Attack% higher than Speed. It's a case by case basis. Generally, if you're unsure, Speed is the most valuable stat to a character unless they are someone who relies on Counters or are a Tank, for example.
I will get to her next week. Last time a character leaked (Yulha) videos from smaller content creators were taken down/struck so I think it's safer to wait for the official announcement. I hope you understand.
the thing that grinds my gears (pun intended) is that I have a lot of gears with good mainstat and substats, but on the wrong set. LIke having a rage or destruction set with defensive substats. -_- If only we could change the set of the gear, even just once, then gearing would be less troublesome.
