I like the design, I paint skateboards all the time. A couple suggestions that may help, one, the graphite issue you are expressing… use an under painting to seal in the graphite and then it will be easier to cover as well. Next, the varnish… I would use a spray type. I use 2K clear coat. It’s automotive grade and has a hardener in it. It will be completely smooth when completed and have no brush strokes visible. I think your work is great though! No disrespect or hate at all. Just wanted to offer some advice. I paint them all the time.
Hey! Thanks for the tips! They sound great I’m always open to learning from others 😊 I’m thinking of doing another soon actually as it was so much fun! I follow another artist that does that on canvas to secure the graphite… He does like a thin acrylic toning wash. Is that what you mean? I’ve never done that before. I also need to get some graphite transfer paper rather than carbon paper as this one was really difficult to lose the lines, it’s what I use for my tattooing, so I just used that but I’m definitely going to order some graphite one !

@@katiejamestattoo lol . Seriously 8 hours ? I paint canvas in acrylic and can take me 20+ hours 😂 I'm considered a good artist but I'm sure there must be a quicker way to lay down the colours lol .
