40:45 If you want to learn more in depth about what they went through, i HIGHLY recommend starting the Rise Of Bangtan docu series here on youtube. It sheds light not only on BTS' journey, but also a look into the Kpop industry to better help understand their growth and how they stand out from the rest. If that sounds interesting to you, I would recommend starting with that! 😄 And thanks for the reaction guys 💜
I agree, but would point out that it is a very long series at 22 chapters so far of the 23 planned. It is beautifully made by a professional editor who is an ARMY, and she was able to do a lot of work when lockdown hit. I totally recommend it - and love it all, including Deleted Scenes etc. Now, she's back at work and very busy so we still await the "final" planned chapter. I wonder whether she will continue the series with BTS: Chapter 2.
@@silviarm7352 i agree, the information in it is great but I still feel like they should listen to more music / learn their names / even watch some funny videos, before jumping to information that even some people in fandom still don't know and I feel like even if they did watch rise of bangtan now, they wouldn't really remember much of it in a long term you should first build a base, and then go to detail
XCeleste has put out a documentary about BTS hardships which nicely balances the wine and roses history here with a look into a lot of the rough ride BTS has experienced. The hardships are way more than you might suspect which is what makes BTS a true underdog story. This video celebrates achievements but does not contextualize them as occurring within a sea of hate, antis, innuendo, and financial struggle.
Yes, Xceleste's "hardships" video is excellent, but is very much a summary, which is exactly how BTS would do it - focus on the positive, always, and forget about the hate. I believe that the kinds of hate and aggression showed to BTS in her video has in some ways continued - ongoing attempts by the big 3 and some fandoms to undermine them, personal hate messages, death threats and saesaeng behaviour, and, of course, racism. They just sail over all of it while ARMY has their back.
I'm a 68 year old woman who found this amazing group in Sept. of 2015. I had never listened to Kpop before. I came across their Dope video and it instantly grabbed my attention. I listened to a few more songs, and that was it. I was hooked. Their music is so diverse that there's something for everyone. Their live performances are jaw dropping. Watching their behind the scenes, their episodes of Run and Bon Voyage, really gives you an insight into their personalities. They've made me laugh, cry and every other emotion in between. Being 68, I've been teased a lot. I don't care. I'm proud to say I'm a fan of these talented young men. I feel like a proud grandma, and I feel that everyone needs to give them a chance. They truly are remarkable people.
You said you wanted to see what they had to go through to get where they are, so here’s a video on exactly that. It’s called bts’s hardships made by XCeleste th-cam.com/video/EdY6wnLsetQ/w-d-xo.html here’s the link if y’all wanna do a reaction to it
BTS didn't "feature" on an Ed Sheeran song, Ed Sheeran wrote it for BTS (it's not unusual for BTS to receive songs by other writers, but add their own touch to it). Sheeran has written 2 songs for BTS thus far. Funny is that Jason Derulo's song, Savage Love, didn't get to a #1 spot on the Billboard chart on its own. It was when BTS did a remake of Savage Love that the song hit #1:) Ed Sheeran written songs: "Make It Right" and "Permission to Dance" (if you're up to doing reactions:) BTS's dropped "BE" during the pandemic (when they would've been on a massive, sold out, world tour for their album Map of the Soul: 7. "Permission to Dance", written by Sheeran, released as a post-pandemic single, was performed by BTS inside the United Nations building, after which, BTS did another speech (in support of challenges youth face: see BTS's Love Yourself Campaign). another thing of note with BTS, most of their songs (particularly the ones BTS have written) do have rap parts in them. all BTS members contribute to songwriting/producing/composing, but the highest number of songs written/produced are by the rap line: RM, SUGA and JHope (JHope has just released a single, "MORE", that's trending now, w/ his album dropping in a few days to follow + he's headlining at Lollapalooza Chicago this month).on yet another note, the online concert mentioned sold over 1.33M paid tickets. their concerts are on another level, btw! i damn near sold a kidney to afford resale tix for their LA (Nov 2021) & Las Vegas (April 2022) concerts! getting your hands on 1st release tix is compared to the Hunger Games for good reason lol... tix sell out during private/member sales (membership can be gotten via Weverse, BTS's own platform), before they even hit public tix sales. the concerts were phenomenal, so worth it! :) BTS is literally a universe... this video barely touches on all BTS's work (you may want to catch BTS intro from XCeleste. btw, it's no understatement that BTS was subbed at the Grammys. watch how much of a class act they are, undoubtedly the premiere performances for the show that day. the category they were nominated for was Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. the Grammy was given to Doja Cat & SZA for their collab (they're not even a "duo", they're a collab), despite BTS's song "Butter" and their *performance* being the massively more popular. 10 wks at the top of Billboard charts, seriously. they were robbed, undoubtedly. but you can decide that for yourself.
Make it Right is a BTS song. Lauv featured on a version of it. Ed Sheeran wrote the song. He’s written 2 songs for them. They write the vast majority of their songs but sometimes they accept songs from other people and perform them. They do rewrites and change it as needed for themselves. If you’re interested in their hardships, there’s an updated video for that by xCeleste.
@@nuhkyah23 I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic but you know you can google song credits right? en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Make_It_Right_(BTS_song) Ed Sheeran composed the music. He obviously didn’t write Korean lyrics or rap verses. My comment was a clarification because they seemed confused and thought BTS was featuring on someone else’s song so I was clarifying the origins.
@@WhalienDNA I was not being sarcastic. I know they usually write their own verses but I wasn't sure if it was different for this particular song so I just asked you since you commented on it. But as you rightly said I could have googled the credits for myself. Thanks for the link, I see that they all have credits too
@@nuhkyah23 oh good, sorry! You never know on here. Sometimes comments are sarcastic, sometimes the comments are from kids. I don’t like to assume either way. I also wasn’t trying to be sarcastic with the Google comment; a lot of people seem to not know they can access album credits without the physical album through Wikipedia and other sources like that. 💜
I was at both concerts in LA and Las Vegas as well it was so so so very incredible. I'm very happy I went being front row and seeing them up close is beyond words. These guys changed my life for the better I can't wait to see what these guys are up to in the future.
27:02 So like I'm not the type of person to bring up drama from the past but since then, the Grammy's have repeatedly used BTS for more viewers. That year, they put the award announcement at like the very end of the show. And then this year at the Grammy's, BTS was going to perform AND they had been nominated for the Best Duo/Group category. This time, the Grammy's put that award ceremony near the beginning but they put the performance (which was iconic af btw the locals were freaking out about it lol) near the end of the show. They invited all of these important people from BTS' company, implying that maybe they were actually going to get something out of this. But they lost to Doja Cat and Sza, which props to both of them. No hate against either of them they're amazing artists. But their song was a collab, not a permanent Duo or Group. Collabs should not be in a category that is meant for full time groups and duos. It was a bunch of bullshit. Idk I just thought I'd tell you about that lmao. Grammy's ain't shit.
Xceleste has a video of BTS hardship updated version you will definitely see a lot of hate they got even from their home county and all the racism from around the world 😭 the rise of bangtan series is really good too!! It was done by a an Army who is a professional film editor. This video only shows the glamorous part of BTS but what really got me is their humble personality, kindness and their live for each other and Army! It’s something really hard to explain until you become one!! Xceleste also has a video called who is BTS Army which will let you how diverse is the fandom not just in age but career and ethnicity
You're doing pretty well in this reaction. You seem focused and pay attention to the right time to pause when you are about to speak. You receive constructive criticism and suggestions from ARMY and implement them in this video. Hopefully it will be better & better.. For BTS hardship etc.., many ARMYs have given some suggestions + links for you to see. Trust me, although we have watched it many times, we will watch it again if you do well. So don't worry. Keep paying attention to suggestions from ARMY as positive input for you. Thanks..
I'm so glad they keep updating this video - and made the point that for BTS a GRAMMY is actually irrelevant. There is no doubt in my mind that they should have won both times they were nominated: and their performance at this years GRAMMY shop was the best of the night, wiping the floor of all the rest. Frankly, it's hard for Western artists to compete with BTS in performance, because KPop is in fact not a music genre. Suga explained that Kpop is the music, the dance, costumes, choreo and setting all designed to provide a complete experience for the viewer/listener. BTS have been doing it now for 9 years, and the outshine other artists by the levels of production they are able to achieve. No one in the west is even trying to do anything like Kpop does. They are doing something different. Now, just in case you think I'm biased, I'm not particularly a Kpop fan, only really having a look once in a while at other bands, but coming back to BTS for the sophistication of their work. Still there is no doubt that there are many many highly talented and skilled performers looking to match or outstrip them.TXT were at Lollapalooza this weekend past, and the crowd roared for them : when they said "we're TXT, you probably don't know who we are ..." there was a roar of "no!"". So pleased for them (they are BTS' little brothers under Big Hit, and they are all really sweet together). They all work incredibly hard, and I wish them well, with great respect. But BTS is hard to beat in any galaxy.
Yea like someone said before I’m sure you have heard one of their songs either dynamite, butter or permission to dance but just never knew it was them. My favorite song is “Butter” and then my second would be “Blood Sweat & Tears” There are hardship videos about them with a video called “BTS HARDSHIPS 2013-2021” by xCeleste and then a video series called “Rise of Bangtan” I really like how this documentary had an exact timeline of them which was great. Can’t believe some of the achievements and historic records they have broke it’s really insane and especially as a K-Pop group/Asian act to do all of that globally and especially in the states is crazy and great to see! Love the reactions like always can’t wait for more! The journey of BTS is just getting started!!!!
I wish i can tell the whole story of BTS from the beginning .. They are different from any other artist in the whole world , ARMY loves them not bc of their look ,but their hardwork, their beautiful lyrics and messages which saved many ARMYs from Commit suicide and depression. Their humbleness attracts everyone they are millionaire and world's biggest boy band , and worked soo hard but still they never forget to mention ARMYs ,they mention us on UN assembly speech, Talk shows ,award shows and everywhere, i never saw any artist to love their fans that much... Their all songs are meaningful their lyrics have power to change the people's mind positively. But they faced soo much hardships i'm soo proud of them , they never gave up on their dream ,they faced every bad situation together ,that's why their love and respect for each other is huge... They complete eachother. Proud ARMY ,i'm glad that i found BTS .. 💜💜
If you guys are more into rap than pop I would recommend you to react to their 4 Cyphers, to "Ugh" and "ddaeng" and to some solo songs by the 3 rappers, in particular I would recommend "agust d", "daechwita" and "the last" by Agust D (it's SUGA solo name), "do you", "joke" and "moonchild" by RM, "chicken noodle soup", "daydream" and "hope world" by j-hope
Nice reaction! Plz add one more vote for xceleste hardships video and for rise of bangtan .. .maybe throw in some songs in between reacting to rise cause there are a lot of episodes . . . also you said you like rap so . . . August D (aka Suga of BTS) "Daechwita." You'll love it!
Too many favorites but here's a few: Make It Right Zero oclock Magic Shop Mikrokosmos Best of Me Attack on Bangtan Anpanman The list goes on. Enjoyed your reactions. Keep it up. Borahae 💜💜💜
Can i ask why you guys assume so much without knowing things are the 100% truth? Ed wrote most of the song but its a BTS song NOT a feature. If you're not sure about things its better to look it up instead of making false statements like that :/
bts have won 5 Top Social awards at Billboard, the have performed there since 2017, also won Best group/duo, best song. At Ama the won all 3 awards the where nominated for, Bes Song, Best Group/duo and Artist off The year, In Nov last year the had 4 sold out stadium concerts in L.A, and this year the had 4 sold out stadium concert in Las Vegas and performed at Grammy
You need to watch Rise of Bangtan docu series. It shows their humble beginnings, all that they had to endure along the way, and their present day. It’s very informative and entertaining as well
If you guys really want to learn in depth about the group, the members and their history, as well as about the kpop world in general (big company power, trainee system etc) I really would like to recommend the Rise of Bangtan series. It is really well made, and is super informative for new kpop/bts fans/followers. The series goes through the albums in a chronological order to the most recent events, so you guys could also check out the albums/songs that comes out in the episodes (before or after watching an episode)
I became ARMY around the Wings Album Era, so about 2016-2017. The first song I had ever heard from them was Danger and it really intrigued me. I ended up then listening to Dope and that was it for me. I knew it was a bop and really started getting into BTS. I had then found, the recently released at the time, Blood, Sweat, and Tears MV and like when I tell you my jaw dropped to the floor. Like that song is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT compared to Danger and Dope. It was so- I'm not sure sensual and like it caught me off guard. I don't think I'll ever forget that. And when they won Artist of the Year at MAMA? OMLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL BRO I WENT BATSHIT CRAZY LOL
The first album was a very good album with awesome music, but their perfomances weren't aired and cut out. And because their company Bighit was too small at that time to promote BTS well like other companyy could with their own artist the album couldn't chart
If you guys are up for a fun, fascinating and informative docuseries, I'd totally recommend "The Rise of Bangtan". Grab some popcorn...it's worth the watch/reaction:)
I highly recommend the Rise of Bangtan series -- it starts frok predebut days -- it has chapter 21 chapters plus deleted scenes and bonus content --- my fave BTS song of all time is Love Yourself, Answer -- a beautful song, the lyrics really hit me and it changed my life forever, the lyrics of this song is now my life's mantra. If u guys want to check it out, i recommend the live performance in Japan.
Just to be clear, most of the Korean companies have back to back album releases...the difference with BTS is..the members are actually involved in the creation of their music. That's what makes them extra special as compared to other groups. Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% ARMY but I also listen to other kpop groups. SIDE NOTE: your friend should listen to BTS Cypher series
favorite BTS songs (hard to pick just one when they have a discography of 300+ bangers!)...where do I start?! sometimes, it's about the mood of the day:) - Black Swan - Airplane 2 (check out their performance in Hong Kong) - Make It Right - Dynamite - Magic Shop (written by BTS Jungkook, aka, JK): th-cam.com/video/naHnr5NUZkA/w-d-xo.html - Outro: Tear (live version @ Wembley Stadium): th-cam.com/video/UDuaJGYe8EQ/w-d-xo.html - Fake Love - Let Go - Home - For Youth - Yet to Come - Born Singer - House of Cards - Stigma (BTS V) - Filter (BTS Jimin) - Promise (BTS Jimin) - MORE (BTS JHope) - Dis-Ease (BTS JHope) - *pretty much anything from the rap line:) - *pretty much anything from the vocal line:) ... too many!
Well, I see you reacted to Jay hope BTS's single off his new solo album the single is called MORE. Yes, after BTS released their last album which was a three-disc 40 song anthology album they have suspended group activities until further notice. All seven members are working on solo projects all seven members releasing solo albums singles and going on solo concert tours! Although they are supposedly still filming one or all three of their variety shows RUN BTS, BTS bon voyage, BTS in the soup but they are supposed to do a BTTF concert or several song performances later this year or early next year for a global charity event. Except they're probably still going to do group functions as duly appointed special presidential envoys of the Republic of Korea. yes, they are diplomats from the Republic of Korea! Following calls from the footsteps of BTS the only other high labels group under big hit music! Also known as BTS's little brother group the group TXT! Are now in their punk rock grunge era.
There is a series called the rise of bangtan crested by ARMY it starts from thier training days before debut you should check it out its amazing. It also explains the kpop system compared to US etc.

I can't tell if your saying we're not genuine?? We're learning about them and just discovered them through our friend Alex who will most likely comment back to this.
They’re not forcing them selves at all. I’m there good friend Alex who told them about BTS. They want to learn more about them and experience their culture and how they become so big. They literally had no idea about them until I said something to them lol.

Love the reactions like always can’t wait for more! The journey of BTS is just getting started!!!!
watch "BTS hardships 2013-2021"
it shows more of the difficult times they had and the challenges they faced
when he said " you must have lived under a rock" 😂
Any BTS song with Korean rap are written by the rappers themselves. That's why RM, Suga and jHope has so many songwriting credits in KOMCA.
Enjoyed your reaction guys! Just subscribed 💜
It's funny how this is already in need of another update. They so hardworking, it's unbelievable!!
Great reaction!!

Zero oclock
Magic Shop
Mikrokosmos
Best of Me
Attack on Bangtan
Anpanman
The list goes on. Enjoyed your reactions. Keep it up. Borahae 💜💜💜
Theres a video called BTS hardships you guys can watch that to get a look into what they went through to reach high peaks.
besties my ocd goes ham when the video isn't synced to the part y'all are reacting to 😭
We have no clue why it was like that. It was fine until we watched it after it exported. Were sorry
The Rise of Bangtan docu series which is edited by a professional video editor who is an army too is good to know more about BTS
The first album was a very good album with awesome music, but their perfomances weren't aired and cut out. And because their company Bighit was too small at that time to promote BTS well like other companyy could with their own artist the album couldn't chart
Their is a video by xCeleste called "BTS Hardships 2013-2021"
you guys should react to "stan a group that stan you back" by sugarmyy. this video is about how much they appreciate their fans

If you like rap, might I recommend BTS Outro:Tear live at Wembly-think you’ll really like it!
If you want to know more about their hardships you should check out "BTS Hardships" by xCeleste
You nice keep going 💜
Just to be clear, most of the Korean companies have back to back album releases...the difference with BTS is..the members are actually involved in the creation of their music. That's what makes them extra special as compared to other groups. Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% ARMY but I also listen to other kpop groups. SIDE NOTE: your friend should listen to BTS Cypher series
react to RISE OF BANGTAN series! You guys dont have to force yourself, it has 22 episodes, you can drop 2 reaction per week and that's enough

Celeste have made a video off Bts struggles
You guys can talk throughout the video, ppl are being extra. Maybe just pause when u wanna talk. It’s y’all’s channel so do what is best
We are extra when it needs and you know that+ most army lost it with their reaction on BTS introduction
Who is being extra by asking them to pay attention and stop confusing themselves? They shouldn’t talk over important info. They should pause when they want to talk.
How are we being extra by criticizing how they talk over the video and then are confused later cause they missed information??🤨
@@WhalienDNA is that not what I said??
Fr if they don’t like the video then they can just watch another one
Wow that Guy in pink , his life must be so boring.. haha

just don’t force yourself to react to bts..
What makes u think they're forcing themselves💀
what do you mean forcing? Were learning about BTS and there culture..If you don't wanna join the journey you don't have to.
They literally had no idea about them until I said something to them lol.
pls react to bts hardships by xCeleste
You should react to ateez-wonderland. Ateez is another kpop group. You should also react to Twice- I can’t stop me or Blackpink how you like that. Those are kpop girl groups
watch rise of bangtan!
My god, the guy with the long hair is a hater, i seen all bts videos and he always gave me that vibe 🚩
How? He asks questions and watches the videos. We’re learning about them still!! What do you want us to do just look at the screen and don’t say anything or ask questions…
Serious question by the way
I don’t think he would be reacting to this if he was a hater
You should react to other kpop groups, i really recommend NCT, EXO, and Stray Kids
