You can not separate once assembled otherwise it will break. That why your torso keep falling apart so if your received used from a seller they probably separated to save on shipping but you ended up getting broken figue.
It's possible that it has not been assembled fully in the first place, because the connections require a lot of force to go in properly. As long as both spring loaded pins are working on the lower torso then its not broken and just needs pushing really hard into the upper torso so that the pins spring out into the holes.

Use ceram wrap put it in the holes it was rod wonders with locking figures wings , hands , ext it avoids using glue so the figure stays in great shape
