Great analysis! Love how in this performance the conductor ignores the ‘a tempo’ mark and Daniil gets like an entire bar ahead of the orchestra and needs to literally wait for them.
I’ve always loved that R uses the lowest note of the keyboard and highest note within basically a 1-2 minute span. And even at the very top, beyond the reach of the piano, the orchestra continues on higher. He does that a lot; at the climax, the high point of different phrases don’t overlap (e.g. climax of 2nd movement of 3rd symphony, trumpet high point doesn’t match the orchestra’s high point). It stretches the climax longer I think and makes it more yearning
the sheet music with Daniil playing in the background turned out really well cuz you can still see the music and the chords and what he looked like yeah yeah yeah great video
I was remembering this concerto early this morning because of it's amazing coda that I love. You gained a new subscriber, and hope to see some video on Bruckner's 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th Symphonies
@-MomentsMusicaux- You're right, I do think they're underestimated gems, also, when I first heard Bruckner's music I was really fascinated with themes of both works and will not comply if you make analysis for both of this wonderful symphonies as well, and I dare say that if I hadn't heard them in order, I probably wouldn't be so enamored with Bruckner's ouvre because my first time hearing his last three symphonies I really wasn't that impressed, maybe because I couldn't take the other six outta my head lol, but it was after hearing singleton recording that I recognized their awesomeness and you if you make videos on his Masses, Te Deum, String Quintet and Ave Maria I would be very pleased😁
Rachmaninoff finally!! Thank you very much for helping me self-studying romantic-era functional harmony. I hope you to accept donations and make videos on users’ request someday later.
Thank you @biko45. You always share your appreciation and comment on our videos with kindness. That's something we really appreciate. One day we will accept requests, right now we are busy with new ideas and future projects. There is so much we still want to try out. Thank you again!

That’s the tempo misunderstanding. Well spotted 😂
Live performances sometimes give us interesting and unexpected moments😂
Not my tempo
Thanks for pointing this out, I was trying to follow the roman numerals and bassline and was so confused why I could not find the bass A in 77!
Rachmaninoff seems to love the color of V-iii. It’s everywhere in his music!
Indeed!
I cried so many times in this section.

Awesome! Many infinite melodies to choose from in the Rach Concertos.
Not so many, tbh…
unbounded joy
Amazing analysis! Im hoping for more Scriabin analysis in the future.

Mahler, then Rachmaninoff… what a bliss !
Maybe Tchaikovsky next ?
@@Dylonely_9274 I’m really looking forward to it!
Glorious!

I guess you like Bruckner 😅 what’s with the 1st and 2nd symphonies?

Goosebumps
Loved the video. Thanks ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!

Lovely video, as always ♥
Thank you! Cheers!
Make one about the melody in the 1st Symphonic dance, which is one I would call "infinite" too!
Good work!
i think lots of sequence this music😂
Anyone else notice that soloist and orchestra got a bit out of sync at 2:06? Naturally, the soloist recovered, no harm done.
Bronfmans interpretation with Gergiev as conductor is no.1
sounds to me like they're out of sync at 2:07 but get back together quickly
thats just the rhythm of that section
@dnuma5852 yeah, almost!
For me, the speed this part should be played is the same as if you put this video in 1.25x
Infinite melody actually applies to Wagner
who is the quote from?
it says in the video
Daniil Trifonov, who is also the soloist here
Oh yeah nvm my bad
Performance video as a sheet background (like in Mahler 2 video) seems does not work well IMO. Other than that: great channel
I haven't seen Mahler 2 video but I liked the effect in this one!
