I'm not surprised that the movie is 3hrs. Just the story from his childhood to him becoming a gangster will take up more than 2hrs to explain properly and then they have Bobby's character to show. They could have easily made this into two parts but i'm excited to see how the director completes the story in one movie. Eagerly waiting
Vanga likes making longer movies as his movies are mostly character driven and character exploration needs time His first cut for Arjun Reddy was of 4 hrs and even for Kabir Singh he went beyond 3.....the distributors forced him to keep the runtime for Kabir Singh below 3, due to which he had to cut some crucial scenes from the film. The final cut was somewhere around 2:58 or 2:52

Thats a very serious point coming from national award winning veteran actor. I bet 6 months down the timeline nobody will remember Jawan or Pathaan. But people still feel nostalgic about Deewar, Sholay, Trishul etc even today.

I am waiting for all 4 films Animal, Sam bahadur, Dunki and Salaar .
