At forty minutes he works with a young bass on Masetto. Araiza unlike almost every other top tenor started as as a bass baritone. He may have actually sung Masetto himself.
The Chinese soprano is very impressive. Why do the ones with talent fade away? (It is funny she doesn’t fully get his very obvious point about falling away on the last note of ‘cerASte, serPENti’.)
In fact, there is a kind of luminous object flying outside the window in 3:16 and 1:00:56! Very strange! Thanks for this video! I love Araiza he is a great reference for me!!!
As i don't speak italian, i am not able to understand what the master Araiza means by putting away his hand when the singers get higher in the high notes, i do understand for the wave coming above the head but not for the hand. If someone could explain me ; i try to guess what he mean maybe that the sound is caming from behind but the sounds seems to be less bright, with less harmonics, maybe more dark. But anyway, great master class. Thank's a lot for posting these videos.
I hope by now you would have found a good teacher to help you build a solid foundation. Once you have that , then you start building the voice, once you have all the material you can develop style all the while you develop your musicianship.

The soprano at 11.00 was so closed to instruction she was annoying. All the great examples the maestro demonstrated for her were totally ignored as she continued to sing it her way. I get the impression she was only there to receive compliments.
After seeing UFO's first hand, I can confirm that 3:16 and again at 1:00:56 are exactly what they look like. I must admit to being a little freaked out!
I would like like to know if you are the tenor--who was managed by Rudi Rottenberger. It was when you sang for the Canadian Opera Company in 1965-66. You are a wonderful singer !!!!!!!!
la voz del maestro Araiza da la pauta , es una voz absolutamente redondeada , canta haciendo cupula mientras que los demas ( sobre todo los tenores ) cantan sin redondear la voz . pero en una clase maestra no se corrige tanto la tecnica si no mas bien la interpretacion .

Minuto 16,45, la ragazza coreana ha la voce indietro e non si capisce niente, non pronuncia per paura di perdere la posizione...che non ha già di partenza. Perché non la corregge? Qui sarebbe da rifare tutto, non mi piace anche perché chissà quanto costa il master.

OMG...My friend and I recently saw UFO's while relaxing in NYC's Central Park, and yes I also saw the UFO in the window at 3:16 in this video.
