comedy drama perfection. great written and performed characters. perfect timing by so many of the characters and perfect balancing and editing. This is in so many ways the best of the best.
So that's who the interviewer is - thanks, will be looking for more of her interviews! So empathetic and has a touch of Jimmy Fallon "in the momentness" in her interview, really focusing on what they say.
She has got to work on not interrupting interviewees in the middle of their responses with "Yup...Yep...MMhmm...Uh huh..." My goodness is it distracting.
@@mehblahmehblah I see what you are saying, but I also am confident that if its annoying and distracting to a viewer, its likely annoying and distracting to an interviewee. Some indication of active listening is welcome. Constant indication of active listening is interruption.
Absolutely agree. It's distracting when an interviewer uh-huhs and can't wait to interrupt. What she's doing is beyond active listening and I found it immensely annoying. IMO.
I thought the interviewer came up with questions which the actors probably hadn’t received in their other interviews. I think they may have appreciated something different and they had to put some thought into their responses.
I think that Roy Kent come for a few sessions after whatever the outcome of Ted Lasso. Roy is cast in the Hollywood movie (as a stun man) and he goes to Jason to talk about his issues with his break-up with Keely or his relationship with Jamie or Ted. A cross over after the last episode of Ted Laso
Did anyone else only hear the interviewers "active listening sounds" ?? "uh huh" "yuup" *giggles* "yeah" lol Editing videos has made me OCD and critical I suppose, great interview questions though.
I’ve watched this in the second time after a month or so thinking maybe the first time I was impatient or in a bad mood but this doesn’t fail to annoy me still. It is so much uh huh uh huh, I’m like what are you? A f’in coked up bunny rabbit?
Brett saying that no one lives a completely miserable life so he hates seeing projects that are purely grim seems like a very ignorant view. There are clearly people who have entirely miserable existences, lifelong debilitating depression or oppression without any light or humour. I can understand him saying he doesn't want to see that view in entertainment, but to deny the lives of these people not only as if they don't exist, but actually saying they don't exist is intellectual and emotional naivete.
Funny that therapy has had a turnaround - either the profession is better at listening or people are getting more comfortable being vulnerable and opening up versus blowing stuff up or hkmicide as Brett mentioned.
This is interesting, but I don't necessarily agree. Yes, they are both about grief, very specifically about losing your partner, but Gervais approach to this is quite different. He is mainly a stand up kinda guy and you can tell that's what he was aiming for the most - laugs, the sort of cheap borderline rude kind that he is known for. Which isn't bad, I loved it but Shrinking really serves a much warmer more sohisticted access to this storyline where the core focuses on healing, selfreflecting, relationships and maybe adulthood in general. But then again, maybe I am wrong here and Gervais actually did tried to step out of his comfort zone and yea..didn't quite catch fire.
Brett is so in touch with his feelings in his writing, acting and in real life. He doesn’t have a problem saying he loves someone.
This show is amazing. Had no idea Roy Kent was associated with the project, but it’s making more sense why I like it so much.
SAME!!!
He's here. He's there. He's everywhere. Roy Kent. Believe the song.

I am in love with ALL the characters. Such a great show.
Brett is just amazing the way he conducts himself.
i love the man
this show makes you cry, laugh, cry and laugh again all in like 10 minutes of an episode.

Great interviewer! I mean, obviously, the actors were excellent, but rarely do you get such pertinent questions. Nice job!
Right? Was scanning to see if someone had commented.
Makes you realise how many interviewers don't really listen to the responses
I was thinking that too, she really seems very engaged and enthusiastic. She also has great questions
She was stellar.
She does a lot of the Hollywood Round Tables and is also excellent at that.
Lacy Rose - Bravo! Those are some great and unique questions. Breaking away from the standard questions was what kept me watching.

I agree
The two biggest Muppet fans in entertainment combined. Lovely.
That is an amazing skill. "You won't remember what I will cut out". That is like one of the best editors trades I can think of.
Casting Harrison Ford was ultimate perfection. 🤍
Been waiting decades for this Harrison Ford.
Loved every minute of this show. So happy for Brett!
I love this show! Perfect casting and great writing!
Love the show and love how Brett is normalizing the F word! #gobrett
Jason must've done a lot of these with Brett because he's nolonger flustered or shocked by Brett's swearing lol
Great interviewer and great questions
Great interview- challenging and fresh, such unexpected detailed answers
the two best series in my world...
That was a great interview

It’s active listening and likely works well in the room. Better May be to take these noises out in the edit!

"UH HUH" Ma'am. Ma'am! We are all excited with the Harrison news! Give it just a moment!

What a brilliant interviewer. Great job. She was fantastic too.
totally underrated and awesome,
What an excellent interviewer
Brilliant show!!!
I love these guys!
Bill Lawrence!!
Great show! It's fun with smart subjects of life!

I would so grab a beer with Jason and Brent
GOLD

Maybe she's thrown off by Brett's attractiveness.

Very annoying.
Jason and Brett looks "Baked" 😂
Yikes the lighting of the interview is poor, especially for the interviewer. There’s more light on her background than on her face!
There's a show right there: They're trying to run a show but it gets harder & harder because the shrinking creators keep getting smaller & smaller.
Woof

Has anyone given that reporter some feedback like ever? So why isn't she paying attention?
Shrinking is what After Life tried to be

Roy, Roy ….what are you doing ?
Living his best life… ggrrr
This interviewer is so inarticulate.
