    If you are going to add back the bridge, I think making a natural-looking bridge that connects the lighthouse to the fishing store would look best. This would frame the cave entrance nicely.

    You should put a sand volleyball court next to the skate park along the beach. As for the fishing shop, you should shorten the length of the dock so that it just goes over the water and support it with 2x2 reddish brown round bricks to look like pillars that are coming out of the water and you could have minifigs fishing off the pier.

  • @rswgj
    @rswgj ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You should add some vegetation along the sidewalk by the beach. Maybe some trees or hedges every 10 or so studs?

  • @indianadrones132
    @indianadrones132 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    What a first impression you get from seeing it from the front. I think the long wave needs to grow on me a bit, but the moving water around the boat looks amazing. I understand that the wave gives more life. Still, I think swimming, dolphins, and beach life will give it enough life. Looking forward to future updates.

    You should do a rope bridge from the fishing store to the light house! It would be smaller giving the details of the River more room to see. It would also be cool!

    The beach and ocean update looks great! The surf/skate shop and skate park will be a great addition to the beach area.

    I’m glad you acknowledge the “boardwalk” @8:15. I look forward to seeing it when you do have the pieces to make it look wooden! It’ll differentiate it from all the other light bluish grey ‘concrete’ you have in the city.

    As someone who grew up at the beach, it feels a little off seeing trees so close to the water…but it’s LEGO and if you think it looks right, then great! Very cool beach and water look. It really pops, and connects great with the river and cavern.

    under the dark blue cheese wedges, you could put some dark blue plate to nicely blend it in with the rest of the ocean. But it looks great so far!

    That medium azure with the light blue tiles makes it more tropical and sooo much better, plus adding the palm trees to the beach makes it even better like you're in florida or something lol, keep on building bricksie

    Love the idea of the skate park and doing a farmers market. It will add tones of life to that area great work bricksie ❤

  • @craftycristy
    @craftycristy ปีที่แล้ว +2

    i love it but i feel like that long wave is too uniform. a single wave wouldnt span the whole beach, there would be mutliple smaller waves coming into the shore at different intervals. love the azure though, makes it look more tropical for sure!

  • @darylmorrison8761
    @darylmorrison8761 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I think you should build a swinging bridge from the Fishing Store to the lighthouse. It gives you a nice walkway and takes up less visual space so you can still see the hidden cave. Overall, the beach and water looks good.

  • @AmazingCreationslego
    @AmazingCreationslego ปีที่แล้ว +5

    This new beach looks great! One suggestion moving forward with details, I'd suggest leaving the sand more sparsely populated with minifigs, scenes, palm trees, etc. To me, the old beach seemed very busy. I actually really enjoyed seeing the sand as a empty slate in this video, as I think it looks clean and tidy. While of course the beach needs some activity, if I were in your shoes I would tone it down a bit and maybe focus on detailing the boardwalk with minifigs and palm trees since you have significantly more room on the boardwalk than before.

  • @douglasjackson8758
    @douglasjackson8758 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Love your city! Terrific job!
    I have to agree with you that a large wood bridge from the old fishing store to the lighthouse is a bit clunky.
    Perhaps an natural stone arch footbridge with a canoe or paddle board emerging out from under it might work.
    Whatever you decide, I’m pretty sure it’s going to look awesome!

  • @karentiel
    @karentiel ปีที่แล้ว

    The beach looks great! I agree with you that it is nice to keep the open, uncluttered look. New beach, new look.
    Instead of the big wooden bridge to the lighthouse, what about one of those suspended walking bridges. Might be kind of hard to build with Lego but it would be more open and not block the view of the cave and creek behind.

  • @michaeldebalso6719
    @michaeldebalso6719 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I would change the azure color water on the other side of the ferris wheel to dark blue to show that there’s deeper water over there which would make more sense than shallow water :)

  • @xnightdwellerx8168
    @xnightdwellerx8168 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This looks so good! The only thing that stand out to me is the long wave that stretches down the beach, it kinda looks unnatural. Not sure if i'm the only one but thought I'd point it out and give my opinion :)

  • @australianlegoguy
    @australianlegoguy ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You should have the bridge going from the hill in the camp ground to the fishing store

  • @stephenbreslin1806
    @stephenbreslin1806 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I like the idea of the bridge connecting the fishing store to the lighthouse, but I think the bridge needs to be a different color or style than the fishing store’s decking, so it doesn’t take away from either set and it helps stand out across the water.

    The azure plates gives a nice look to the beach!
    I was thinking that you could do a nice color gradient combining plates and tiles:
    Light blue tiles over azure > dark blue tiles over azure > dark blue tiles over blue plate > dark blue tiles over black plate

  • @Glizzymen
    @Glizzymen ปีที่แล้ว +3

  • @CaydenZuriel
    @CaydenZuriel ปีที่แล้ว

    It look amazing and it's getting better and better. We love to watch your channel.
    What you can do, place one of those fake small candle lights in the cave so it looks like somebody has a fire on in the cave.
    And once you are done with the mansion and you want to build something else, build like alcatraz or like a dinosaur island so you can use and buy the jurassic sets.
    Keep it going

    With a smaller beach area, you can't put everything back that was there before since it wouldn't all fit. Need to now tailor everything you put there to the new size of the beach.
    Some day when you get your new bigger space, you'll have to do a beach hotel resort to really add the details since you can then have a bigger beach area.

    Looking wicked that Jordan! Your skills have come on ten fold since I first starting watching you. Been a pleasure to watch you evolve over the years.
    I think a slimmer bridge between the fishing store and lighthouse would frame the area nicely. Also, how about some adventurous bridge or cliff divers to add some interest? (with some legs sticking out of the water)
    Fab work as always!

  • @BiscuitsandWar
    @BiscuitsandWar ปีที่แล้ว

    You definitely need to do more videos like this. The building with explanations and some time laps would be cool. I don't really see people do time laps on Lego builds, you could be the first to do it.

    I’m actually putting together (waiting on parts) the last full water plate for my castle moc. I used my trans blue and clear in my fountain I built and love it but debating on doing the same on 2 and a half huge MILS plates because of cost at the moment. Once I finish my falcon army (hopefully by end of next week) I can focus my time and money to building more of the moc.

    This looks awesome! Pumped to see the details and mini figs added. The fishing store may look better if it was rotated 90 degrees counter clockwise and a narrower bridge to the lighthouse added coming from the side that is now facing the farm

  • @barbiegirl-gc3ds
    @barbiegirl-gc3ds ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Don't feel to bad about the exposed studs. In 2019 I made a moc of a endor dragon and was short a black cheese slope. In 2022 I finally finished it. I had a trans black cheese slope in its place until I could replace it. I was living in an adult foster home that kept telling me Lego was for babies so I didn't build for a while. They had me get rid of most of my collection so I took a while to get pieces I needed. Although I kept the detail pieces because I never knew when I needed to fix up a moc. I don't take anything apart once I build it.

    I really think the bonsai tree set would look immaculate in your city maybe even a couple of them, sounds like it will be a good fit for your "drooping" tree idea but, keep up the amazing work the beach indeed looks prestine

    I have a solution to blend the water by using transparent plates under the tiles . It looks cool but it's kinda expensive looking at your need.

  • @matthewcanham6844
    @matthewcanham6844 ปีที่แล้ว

    I know you've already done the water - but it would be so cool for the water to actually be deep with multiple levels of transparent tiles and then from the side you can see underwater - fish and sharks and sunken ship etc, and could actually build height in waves and one crashing against the side of a pirate ship etc. I feel like the terrain a lot of the time in Lego is very flat

    If there's a way to use flex tubing and plate to make a rope style bridge between the fishing shack and lighthouse I think it would look cool. You'd have a connection but yet it would retain the open feel!

  • @marshallbwesley3232
    @marshallbwesley3232 ปีที่แล้ว
