We recently sat down with buzzing Philly rapper OT7 Quanny for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During our conversation he talked about life in North Philly, growing up playing basketball & football, the violence in the city, jumping off the porch when he was 13, adapting to the music industry, explains how he got into rapping, his rap name, challenges of being an independent artist, starting to get a buzz after his second song dropped, having a diverse fanbase, feeling like he makes his best music when he’s not around a lot of other people, his close relationship with his grandmother, the music scene in Philly, his music video for “Come Back” blowing up, using instagram to build his buzz & following, his music getting leaked, his video for “Write A Book”, his upcoming project, and much more!

By comparison you could fit the entirety of Philadelphia into the city of Jacksonville 6 times… people call it a small city because it relatively is, the black population there is centuries old and established so alot folks are kin, and the majority of the housing is duplex and row homes so the people literally live on top of each other. So yeah in that way, the city is small.
