  • Introducing the Nivada Grenchen X Analog:Shift Chronomaster "Big Eye" LE, a limited edition timepiece that pays homage to vintage regatta timers. This watch captures the essence of Nivada Grenchen's iconic designs and brings them to the modern era. With its sporty and casual chic vibe, it takes us back to the 1960s when tool watches became an elegant addition to every wrist. The 38mm case houses a manually-wound Sellita SW510 BH B chronograph movement, offering a remarkable 63-hour power reserve.
The "Big Eye" LE features a satin silver dial with applied indices and a luminous 'baton' handset for optimal legibility. The domed sapphire crystal adds to its aesthetic appeal while providing enhanced durability. It is presented on a stainless steel beads of rice bracelet, reinforcing the vintage theme. The bi-directional rotating bezel features a 60-minute diving scale and a 12-hour scale for tracking a second time zone.
This limited edition timepiece proudly showcases the collaboration between Nivada Grenchen and Analog:Shift, marked by the Analog:Shift branding on the dial. A true nod to Nivada's rich history in private label manufacturing and retailer editions. We're thrilled to be starting our collaboration with Nivada Grenchen with such an exciting and meaningful chronograph - just in time for a season on the water!
    Only 100 pieces made.

I've been wearing it daily since the 28th, these are my initial observations:
All in all it's a great watch. Reading the time is not an issue for me, however I would have prefered that the blue section of the minute register be a lighter color, the tiny black hand is kind of hard to see in low light. The bezel has light gray text on a dark gray background, contrast is a little low as well.
The bracelet was easy to size (it uses screws, use a 1.2mm screwdriver) and has 6 levels of micro adjustment. The clasp is milled and the end links are solid. The watch's lugs are drilled so it's easy to remove the bracelet and switch out straps. The 20mm lug width alse makes it easy to find straps for this watch. It wears well on my 6.5" wrist, I was looking for a smaller chronograph and this fits the bill. Nivada can teach Grand Seiko a thing or two about making a comfortable bracelet.
Performance has been good (consistently about 6 seconds fast per day). It's a hand wound watch, you'd have to wind it at least every other day. Winding is smooth.
The chronograph function works well, the pushers don't function as smoothly as those on a column wheel chronograph (at twice the price or more), but I had no problems operating it. There's only a 30 minute dial, but you can use the bezel to time longer events (use the hour markers on the bezel). The bezel turns in both directions and uses friction to stay in place.
The watch has 100m water resistance, so you can use it in the pool or for skin diving.
