arnab is correct I have read this news only once in one newspaper and no other media is showing it let spread it on social media and try to wake up the conscience of govt and lawmakers.
IF a farmer defaulted the banks, in no time his property would be auctioned at 1/100th of its market value ,and would have made the whole family commit suicide, its the bank themselves who are responsible for all this double standards.
correct me if i am wrong isnt Vijay Malya and Kingfisher different legal entities (Companies Act). Why would debts due on kingfisher is being asked to be collected from Mallyas personal account. Why wud anyone care if he throws a birthday bash or not.
Mallya cud have saved Kingfisher if he bailed Kingfisher Airlines from his own persoal account which he preferred not to.
Only issue here is due dilligence on account of banks who lent KF airlines.

So yesterday I got my car repaired it cost me 54k and then tax to me came around 7k and then the manager came to me and said BHAIYA REAL BILL CHAHIYE TOH 14% TAX DENA HOGA!! And I am like shall or shall I not.. then I think I can't cheat my nation but for what joy am I doing it.. ppl will get subsidy and say INDIA TERE TUKDE HONGE then there is this gentle man spending money in f1 racing caribean team then his lavishing party etc and how can I forgot about desh ke damaad ji who buy land so cheap and sale it as high as he want and so on and on..

It is only the middle class or the poor who will be harassed by banks for recovering loans. People like Vijay Mallya will not be troubled even over small little amounts that run into thousands of crores.

my guess is banks granted him either a non recourse loan or funded on project finance basis. in both of these cases banks can not take recourse on his other assets. Third possibility is the convertible debt which once converted to equity is no more a loan. But this third possibility is unlikely at least for entire portion of loan else banks couldnt call him 'defaulter' willful or 'willingly planned' either way.

I request arnab goswami to conduct a debate on "lifting of corporate veil". lifting of cirporate veil is very strong tool given under companis act in the hand of law to unveil such defaulter who is using seperate legal entity for their own benefit. in other words if some one misuses a company's veil to hide themselves, then the law has given sue motto power in the hand of law to unveil such defaulter. why our govt. is not taking action under this section of companies act.
I felt had a tight slap in sandals when I here this loot ... Bloody hell I left the job for a year to get a educational loan going from pillar to post ... Finally I got the loan though .. But 1 year ??!!!! And I paid the full interest n principle amount ... I feel extremely ashamed and feel like crying ... I even wasn't given any discount on my interest rate inspite of being so regular in paying them ... Slap all those politicians who helped him ... I just wanna call names ... Which is out of my character .. Corporate india is a BULLSH*T

Our tax money goes to educate, feed & for the upkeep of ASA (Ambedkar students' association), Periyaar study circle, IIT Chennai, DSU (Democratic students' Union, JNU) , Vijay Mallya's b'day bash attended by innumerable socialites like Shobhaa De who have a gala time at our expense (private helicopters etc running into crores). ASA can disrespect our national flag, national anthem, DSU, JNU students can try to annihilate this country into pieces & others can do whatever they want. It is their fundamental right. But we who spend for them cannot question them on anything. We do not have that right. Democracy sucks. I want emergency.

And all those who make fun of you Arnab,saying it is not correct technically correct journalism or a journalist should be neutral just know that it is coz they are envious of you ( I can say that coz I once felt the same way too). Mallya's lifetime default is LESS THAN the Pawar's annual commission. But no talking! Because Mallya is an entrepreneur whose plan went WRONG and Pawar is a neta whose plan went well. haha
To answer Arnab's question as to why an average person is not lent INR 50 lacs but an established industrialist is loaned INR 1000+ Crs - Its because the 50 lac flat the man will buy will not 1.Create jobs 2.Pay corporate taxes 3. Raise the standard of living for many (KF was a truly international airline, next to Jet; On top in some routes)

As of my knowledge 7K Cr is not equivalent to his properties, so it is not good idea to auctioning his property & sending him to jail also snatching his last chance , if it is so finally we ( tax payer) will be under loss since who will pay difference amount if he is in jail and auctioned everything. Hence let him to come back to form by indulging in business without any financial support from govt also let govt to observe his business so that whenever he gains we can recover it........
Also please remember he is the only one who stepped forward to bring first Indian Formula1 team ...to world & still it is the only team from India...of course he is leading luxurious life but his business needs it...

1000's of Indian farmers are dying out of hunger and most of farmers are now part of daily survival game of life. Governments are trying to clear farmers loans and subsidize seeds but its not sufficient to lift farmers from their daily fight for life. More need to be done. What ever good we do to farmers will feed India back. Make in India is good for future. But what about poor farmers who are making in India and feeding India since ages, shouldn't government consider IMPROVING farmers life.
7000 Crores is not a simple amount. Before banks choose to neglect such 1000's of crores from 1000's of defaulters, Indian government should take charge to get this money from defaulters and pay to farmers. Come out to look at the dire situation of our poor farmers, if we Indians cannot produce food, government cannot feed billion population. Then we only need farmers and NOT Corporate. So please Governments RECOGNIZE THIS FACT. TAKE FARMING AND FARMERS SERIOUSLY and SPEND ON FARMERS. DONT ALLOW SUCH DEFAULTERS TO SNATCH POOR FARMERS FOOD.

Most of the bank heads including heads of national banks give huge amount of loans to these sharks.. and after squandering the wealth and shipping most of the loans to some outside account such sharks declare themselves bankrupt and companies goes into CDR and stuffs... and then these banks holds meetings in big hotels with the sharks and no result comes out.. Because bank knows they have been taken in for a ride and they cannot afford the man to get arrested because even selling his kidneys and all organs won,t pay the debt. So they end up in an everlasting loop.
Very good questions raised about the role of bank towards ordinary people asking for loans and towards such jerks who take countries money to sleep with women all around the world and the country is fine with it. And you need education to get a high post in bank?? Such stupid bankers.
