This track is by Conquest, not Caspa & Rusko... it was featured on Caspa & Rusko's FabricLive37 mixtape, but the track, itself, was produced by Quest, formerly known as Conquest. Just a heads up!
Last summer I went to Indonesia and played this for a group of orphaned boys in the jungle. We had the most amazing dance groove time.. this song makes me want to go back so much
Yaaaaaaaaaaaahw! Barrington sample & a super frish-fresh beat!! Me had heard this on an oooold Caspa & Rusko album & I'm super down. Thanks, Pulsation Dubstep. Big Ups from Northern California :-)
people stop fighting over the artist, and what kinda music it is, the big picture is that this beat is beautiful, and instead of arguing about it, you should be inspired by it, just chill out =)
@crazymarf it's conquest but if you listen to both versions caspa and rusko did change up the drums and percussion a bit and especially made the bass harder
this song fuck my soul so hard..,.. if i hear this all the times i think what i lose in my life and must cry but after i hear it again and smoke some weed and never give up
this is conquest (aka Quest) the reason for this error is because it will be off of caspa & rusko's Fabric Live 37 album, a mistake alot of people make, would highly recommend that album though, dubstep at its best!
Nope, not American. I understand what you mean, what I'm saying is there's a lot more to dubstep than the drums and the BPM, and clearly the criteria that define dubstep are evolving since the majority of modern dubstep sounds so different from earlier stuff. I'm familiar with the evolution of dubstep from UK grime and 2-step garage, I actually just finished a course in history of EDM at my uni.
@ThisUsernameSucksBro If I had a time machine I'd go 50 years to the future and blow my own mind by checking out where dubstep has come during that time.
Fair point, listening to these on better speakers you can hear the sub. That said, it's pretty shortsighted to say that dubstep is only about the drums and the BPM, if that was the case then a lot of hip hop would be considered dubstep. And obviously not everything with a wobble bass is dubstep, nor vice versa, but it would be ridiculous to say that a LFO modulated bassline isn't a signifier of dubstep. IMHO, of course. PLUR
I think he has a point. This really doesn't scream dubstep at all. There's no sub bass, no wobble. Only the drums sound mildly dubsteppy, but even then, most modern dubstep songs have a two-step beat nowadays. Don't get me wrong, I love the track, I just wouldn't necessarily call it dubstep.
@techtwinz here ill make this really easy for everyone...fuck genre sub categories... its EDM (electronic dance music) and thats all u need to say oh besides amazing and awe inspiring
Forget about generes.. it either appeals to you or not. It often seems that people who dont like a particular tune start trying to label it as not fitting their idea of how a drumloop etc should be to fit into their favourite category :-\
When did I say anything about Skrillex? When I talk about sub-bass, I'm talking about actual SUB bass, not that mid-range wobble that gets put out these days. Think Skream or Loefah. It's funny that you bring up wub wub stuff, listen to "Dub Warz" by Caspa and you'll see where the wub wub sound came from. Don't patronize me, 'buddy'.

@killarmy101 for some people it's too difficult to figure out the difference between a dj and a producer...

Anyone knows where the vocal sample comes from? It sounds like Barrington Levy, but I can't point out which song it is.
I hear this sample quite a lot too, it must be from beatport or maybe some sample sharing thing.
BARRINGTON LEVY She Give Me Love LIVE
ah ok thanks. I wondered why is this song whenever you can hear the sample you can hear that backround noise too, i wasn't sure what it was.
It took me awhile to find it tho ... but i found it about a year ago and i still see people asking so i might aswell share the info .. enjoy
Wow yeah, that's great. Thanks a lot :)
