Anyway It's not tech house, go look up some mixes as tech and compare them to the start of this set. tech = boring repetitive bassline with emphasis on the drumlines. Maceo Plex, albeit a dark producer, finds a fine line between these two genres, but reaches appeal by using a melodic bassline, which is the cumberstone of deep house music.
I can't shut my eyes. It is a Boiler Room set, so, there is video to accompany. And sometimes, I actually like to watch these guys kill it on the mixer..which Maceo does well.
Its good that Boiler room give the fans the possibility to get in contact to their favorite deejays and producers. On the other hand these people in the background getting on my nerves with their shitty smartphones.
Maceo is a genius. Every Production he releases is so versatile and every DJ Set is different and special yet so Maceo-ish
7 years later and he still blows me away...saw him play for six hrs 2 months ago and it was as incredible as always. King Maceo
