Thank you, I was just thinking about running that thing again this week. It runs great for a dual engine truck. Wish they still made rigs like these, I feel like we may never have this generation of trucks come back. I’m very happy I’ve got mine 😁.
Hell yeah!!! Still got mine, i rebuild the motors, shocks and diffs on bi annual basis. Running it nicely just as you did here once or twice a month but i tear the rc down sometimes and store it. I also cut the body up like you did but i added mesh like chicken wire for support.
VolvoSnubben, she definitely is a pig! Feels solid as heck. Build is completely different than anything that you’d find today. It almost needed those 2 engines to get going decently. Thanks for checking out the video!
Superlative. This is the best Giga Crusher video I have seen on TH-cam, and I have been searching them out. The amount of driving you did, the jumping, and the gears shifting all were superb. Your engines were running supremely. I just now am building my kit that I bought back in 2004. May I ask what body you have on there? It does not look like my OEM version.
Thanks bud! That body is a Redcat body. I can’t remember the model but I remember someone posting that Redcat had some good clearance items and I ordered up a bunch of random bodies that were all under 10 bucks.
How are your three speed transmission gears holding up? In my new Kyosho USA-1 and my Mad Crusher, I had to replace the three speed gears with steel gears from GTB racing. The gears in Kyosho's new 3-speed trucks are no good. They wear out quickly. I'm wondering how the ones in the Giga Crusher handle all that torque.
I have a Kyosho Foxx as well and the gears don’t hold up on it either. I haven’t had any breaks on the GIGA but I also don’t use it ad much. She’s almost a shelf queen
Unfortunately the engine is not an easy swap. Back when these were being sold there was an aftermarket engine mount that one could buy and it would be a universal mount for a big block nitro. At the moment I have one that also needs the engines to be complete. I just ordered some aluminum stock for cutting what I believe will work for making a mount. I’ll make sure to video the details and share what I’m doing to make it work. I also need a fuel tank and my plan is to use a Tmaxx fuel tank and figure a way to mount it, I choose a Tmaxx fuel tank because it has a similar shape to the original and I’m going to fit it in the same space. One bad ass truck, can’t blame for not wanting to push it to hard! Great video!

That is absolutely awesome! Thanks for sharing it with the world.

Giga Crusher DF is a badass truck, so cool! I remember when it came out, looked really fat then and do that also today. Great vid man!

I am so lucky to have a very nice example of this to. Its very special to me. Have a good amount of parts to it to. Will never get rid of it!
It’s a cool truck. I’ve run mine only a handful of times. Seems to be very stout. I wish they still made trucks like this! Thanks for watching

@@edrc1793 Thanks for the reply. Redcat is a good brand and affordable.
That is fun!
I don't do any nitro stuff. Did some YEARS ago, and got out of it.
Bash on!
Thanks bud! I like the Nitro struggle 😁. Definitely more work but it feels rewarding.

Thanks my friend!
I have a Kyosho Mega Force. Would it be 'collectable' these days?
Old Kyoshos almost always end up being collectible. There’s a lot of followers.
Haha... That's fekkin sweeeeet
Thanks bud! I’ll be running it some more once this lockdown is over.
What parts are available for these? I have one I want to get back up and running.
The clone parts are easy to come by. Vh beast is the clone name
