- हिंदी सिनेमा के मशहूर अभिनेता, निर्देशक और निर्माता दिवंगत राज कपूर की ज़िंदगी में कई उतार-चढ़ाव आए. उन्हें भारतीय सिनेमा में शो मैन के नाम से जाना जाता था. महाराष्ट्र की राजधानी और सपनों का शहर कहे जाने वाले मुंबई में उनके नाम पर रखा गया आर के स्टूडियो काफ़ी मशहूर है. मुंबई के चेंबूर इलाक़े में दो एकड़ में फैला आरके स्टूडियो अब ख़त्म हो गया है. स्टूडियो को लेकर अभिनेता रणधीर कपूर ने बीबीसी से बातचीत में अपने मन की बात कही.

The downfall of Kapoor Family started by selling R K Studios.
That is not correct.. The Studio got destroyed in 2017 in a fire . It was not financially viable to continue operating the studio as all the film families who lived in Chembur had shifted to Juhu... So , they sold the land in 2019 .

मैं रणधीर जी की बातो से सहमत हूँ ,लेकिन यह वही भूमि है जिसपर आपके पिता महान शोमैन राज कपूर जी ने न सिर्फ भारतीय सिनेमा की मजबूत नीव रखी थी साथ ही असंख्य लोगो को काम देकर उनका जीवन निर्वाह करवाया था। यह उनकी कर्मभूमि थी और हमेशा रहेगी। लोग मर जाते है अंतिम संस्कार होता हैं वो भी तो राख बन जाते है फिर भी उनका नियमपूर्वक विसर्जन होता है किन्ही की याद में समाधियां बनती है,कही मूर्तियां बनती है हर इंसान अपनी हैसियत से अपनी पूर्वजो की धरोहरो को सहेजता है,क्या इस महान शख्शियत को इस तरह का सम्मान नही मिलना चाहिए था,जिससे आने वाली पीढ़ी देखती की एक था '"राज" ,जिसने करोड़ों भारतीयों और विदेशियों के दिल पर हुकूमत की। लेकिन राज साहब हम सब आपके दोषी है क्यों कि हम भौतिकवादी और अर्थवादी दुनिया मे रहते है हमे सिर्फ पैसा चाहिये, हमारे पास आपके जैसा दिल नही है जिसमे इतना प्यार था कि सारी दुनिया उसमे समा सकती थी। r k studio बिक गया, तिजोरियां भारी गई लेकिन मेरे ""राज"" मेरे "अब्दुल्लाह"" तेरी "आह" किसी ने न सुनी,सब तुझे ""अनाड़ी"" ही बना गये।

Raj Kapoor was a great actor. His films we're enamoured with the feelings of his heart and not mind.
The saddest part is that all the memorabilias were burnt down. Its curtain down for RK Studios. History is full of such sad incidents.
No doubts about the fact that Late Raj Kapoorji was a genius and an institution in himself; and a role model for many young aspirants of all age groups and all times in future.
My humble respects to him.
One of the great show man, that India cinema has seen. He lives in the hearts of people who lived in the era of Raj kapoor ji . Hats off to him. The songs in his movies are ever green especially when he enact miles ji ki songs.

Apart from the entire team of Raj Kapoor-- which truly can be called co-founders of RK studious( like Mukesh Shailendra Shankar jaikeishn etc) its is NARGIS and (then) Raj Kapoor who founded this iconic studio and production company. Raj Kapoor loved Nargis more than his life and mourned her loss when she married Sunil Dutt in 1958 and died heartbroken in 1988 --- drinking and smoking to his death and lamenting the absence of nargis in his life. Anyway ek aur ajeeb baat hai--- Raj kapoor's breakthrough came with AAG , his first production, starring him and Nargis in 1948 --- exactly 70 years later the legend LOST his studio ( famous worldwide ) to another AAG... massive fire. these are IRONIES OF NATURE

एक आठवण - राज कपूर यांना कोल्हापूर मध्ये वाल्मिकी रामायण या फिल्म साठी चेहऱ्याला पाहिल्यानंदी रंग लागला होता हि मोठ्ठी संधी दादासाहेब फाळके पुरस्कार प्राप्त भालजी पेंढारकर यांनी राज कपूर यांना दिली होती आणि त्या काळी पाहिलं मानधन म्हणुन रुपये 5 हजार इतकी रक्कम राज कपूर या बाल अभिनेत्यास दिलीं होती जी पृथ्वीराज कपूर यांनी नाकारली होती पण भालजी बाबांनी साघीतलं की हे मानधन स्वीकारावं लागेल त्या मांमधनातून आर के स्टुडियो ची पायाभरणी झाली - (फिल्म अभ्यासक विध्यार्थी मुकुंद खुपेरकर - कोल्हापूर)
Raj kapoor's favorite character was Charles Chaplin. I visited Chaplin's studio nearby Beverly Hills in Los Angeles. Long forgotten, Chaplin lost his studio in a very heart breaking manner. I could imagine how difficult it would be for Kapoor families to see their treasure disappear from their eyes.

बहुत ही रुढ है ये बाॅलीवुड का कपुर खानदान ।मई 19 मै न्यूयार्क मे थी तभी मुझे ऋषीकपुर मिले रस्ते पर खड़े थे मैंने बहुत ही प्यार से उनको पुछा how are you sir. क्या मै आपके साथ एक फोटो ले सकती हूँ वह इतने गुस्से से बोले परेशान मत करो । हम से ही ये लोग इतने पॉप्युलर है ।हम ना इनकी फिल्मे देखते तो इतने बड़े बनते ।इस लिए आज स्टुडियो बेचकर खा रहे है ।
