I installed this alarm on my Motorhome which sits on a 2021 Ford E-450 chassis about 5 months ago so I feel I can offer some real life experience to these comments. It works very well. It’s louder than it sounds in the video. Mine is ON when in storage more than it is OFF so I go through batteries every three months.
You can adjust the sensitivity based on your desire. I had to adjust mine down as heavy rain hitting the large tailpipe would set it off. The neighbors didn’t like that in the middle of the night. I set the sensitivity so that a gentle rap of my finger to the exhaust tip will set it off. Mine is mounted as far away from the muffler and CAT as possible to keep it away from the heat. They are not very visible so I doubt that a CAT thief is going to notice it or know where the alarm is even coming from.
I’ll admit that my alarm is my first line of defense. The second is a CATSTRAP.

The arming noise goes off and then a beep a few seconds later. That delay allows you to close the door as you get out. It works well if you happen to keep the fob int the truck. So far I like them and they have worked well.

Can you do a tutorial on the heck you change the battery on the alarm once you take the time to get it installed on the pipe and just a few weeks later the battery runs out, I live in the midwest so apparently you can't buy this because the cold will quickly run down your battery, they should mention that in their website video spill. 😒

Had my cats stolen on my 21 Tundra, shit hurt cause the wait has been horrible for parts. They cut my fuel line among other things.

    Local cat thief Micky:
    1. Walks by your truck. Gives it a push. Alarm "warning beep" goes off. Keeps walking.
    2. Calls "Joey the Fixer". Joey come by, slides under truck, sees alarm, sprays it with "crack filler foam"
3 Micky comes by in an hour and removes cat!
This might be OK for some people.
    I want something "beefier"
I plan on installing a similar device shown by a Canadian U-tuber. PLUS installing high security armor with "secure" bolts. Everyone has there own ideas/levels of security.

The vibrations from a saws all will rattle through entire truck so location is kinda irrelevant. And really t's only a deterrent.

I own a 2021 Toyota Tundra TSS Off Raod and was just hit for all four of my CCs. It now sits in the shop with a waiting period of about 4 months for parts. I'm so mad, I don't know what to do. I do have a question though, How well does it work with the truck isn't being shaken and the fools are under the truck sawing away at the actual converters? Can a test be done on that? I'd like to see how sensitive it is when they are under the truck going away at the pipe. Any videos on that would help tremendously. Right now, I'm looking at having a full plate installed under the truck and would love to save $600. Thanks for the video and info.

The thiefs know that if they get caught they will not be sent to jail for nonviolent crimes such as converter thieft. When was the last time you heard of a catalytic converter thief prosecuted and given jail time. It would be on every nightley news if they did. I was told after the thiefs were caught that it was a good thing that they got caught, that the only reason they were doing it was because they were on drugs. They were to go to a drug class to help them get of of drugs and they were to do community service. If you break hunting laws they can take you gun, you 4 wheeler and truck everything involved in breaking the law.If they get caught stealing converters the only thing the law takes is your converter they are found with and they are right back on the street driving the same vehicle they hauled you stuff off with.

  • @grayeagle1000

WAIT MAN! If you leave the device in the truck you will never hear it go off Nor will the thieves hear it until after they have cut through the pipes. You will be at home asleep and your alarm will go off and you wont even know it. You have to keep it on your person and remain within so many feet of your vehicle, something this cat never even mentions. He should have said it is an alarm only to hopefully scare off the thieves, NOT an alarm that notifies you once it has been triggered.

    • @MuscleAmerican
      @MuscleAmerican  2 ปีที่แล้ว

The remote doesn’t alarm only the actual device on the vehicle. It’s to scare them off like a car alarm and if your in range you will definitely hear it.
