It’s funny bt it makes no sense. Why wouldn’t sam fill her in on the plan and coach her on what to say beforehand so she doesn’t risk blowing it and giving herself away?
Not only is the pottery scene a parody of this movie, one of the Zucker Brothers (the guys who made the Naked Gun movies) directed this movie, and then spoofed their own scene 😂
AYKSHULLY, David Zucker was the only one of the ZAZ team that returned for Naked Gun 2 1/2, Jerry Zucker (who made Ghost) and Jim Abrahams didn't actually touch the script. So it's more like banter between brothers, which I feel is funnier.

Hi Kacee, When this movie came out, it was huge! Whoopi won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in Ghost. It was nominated for several Oscars, including Best Picture. Jerry Zucker directed Ghost. He had a really hard time trying to get this movie made. He shopped it all over Hollywood and no one was interested. He was so closely associated with Airplane! and The Naked Gun that the studios didn't think he could pull it off, that he was first and foremost a comedy director. @@josephsarto689 I'd like to think she could hear him because the veil between the two worlds had been thinned due to the opening of the portal leading Sam to the Other Side.
So, the story goes that the producers managed to get Swayze (their first choice) for the role of Sam Wheat. For those of us around at the time it didn't take a massive stretch of the imagination to spot that the role of Oda Mae was practically written for Whoopi. Nevertheless the senior studio suits pushed back on the idea and insisted on auditions, specifically insisting that Whoopi wasn't right for the role because they claimed that the audience would see Whoopi being herself and not Oda Mae Brown. Apparently at this point, Swayze cottoned onto what they were up to and told them in no uncertain terms that if Whoopi wasn't given a chance to be cast in the role, he'd walk from the project on the spot. As Whoopi put it later : "And thanks to Patrick, I have an Oscar".
Yeah, it's no secret Swayze wanted Goldberg for this role... Glad it all worked out. Sometimes producers need to trust artist to help with choosing cast mates. We get it producers have a HUGE stake in making sure the film they work on succeeds. Sometimes it's just an actor saying "hey...I really want to work with this person.. I've seen their work... they would be great for this project..."
But it turns out she actually wasn’t in danger. The bad guys didn’t want to kill Molly. They wanted Sam’s password to the account. It would have been a good movie if Molly actually was in danger
There's a few times Swayze had to quickly face away from the camera to hide his laugh. Whoopi Goldberg said he wanted her to play the spiritual advisor role the most.
Loved this reaction - it reminded me of what a strong story that film has. Underrated IMO. I saw the stage play version a few years ago - it works very well on stage. The "subway ghost" scenes were mind blowing.
My older sister used to watch this movie so much when I was a kid, and my only memory of it was being scared of the ghosts that show up at end of the movie to pull the villain down to hell. Seeing it now is laughable, but as a kid that terrified me.
The 1990 film “Ghost” was directed by Jerry Zucker When Bruce Joel Rubin the writer of this story heard that Zucker was going to direct it he said he almost cried because Zucker (along with his brother David Zucker and Jim Abrahams) were known for films such as “Airplane!”, “Top Secret”, and the Naked Gun film series, and Rubin assumed that Zucker was going to turn his narrative into a zany story.
Jerry Zucker, the director of this film, is the brother of David Zucker, director of the Naked Gun movies. Jerry was also involved with the first Naked Gun. The Zuckers' mother also appears in Ghost as the bank employee (she's in many of their films).
Cool reaction Kacee. You weren't kidding when you said 'immersed'. Great performances all round but a special shout-out to Tony Baldwyn as Karl for his convincing portrayal of confused panic. And I agree it's the banter between Whoopi and Patrick that make ir so special - props to the scriptwriters here.I enjoyed this very much.

I was stationed in Korea for a year. All the highrises there have spindles which they bring larger items up to the apts. The elevators are REALLY small. I'm sure other places have that but it was the first place I saw that had that.
As for romance (or romance adjacent), I would recommend: Somewhere in Time (1980), While You Were Sleeping (1995), Moulin Rouge (2001), Love Actually (2003), The Notebook (2004), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004), The Time Traveler's Wife (2009), and About Time (2013). I think Demi Moore is such an underrated actress. She’s so talented, extremely beautiful, and that raspy voice does something to the senses. This was a perfect cast.
Gotta say, if I were to suggest a movie, it would be One Crazy Summer. That movie was so much fun for me as a kid. Has Demi Moore in it too, that's why it popped into my head.
Every mow and then, a truly unique idea for a film comes along. Until this point, ghosts were far more associated with the horror/supernatural genre. Stories were usually tied to haunted houses, burial grounds, and other tropes that were part of pop culture. This film took a different approach & redefined the topic a bit. Not only that, it packaged it up in a love story, while also attaching it to a mystery/thriller story. It also has a good amount of action, towards the end. I am glad you finally got to see this - not only for its Naked Gun relevance, but also for its place in 90's culture. That scene redefined the boundaries of love scenes, and for its time, it became a standard for 90's love stories. That's one reason, the scene made it into the Naked Gun movie. For other films contemporary to this one, you might also like Beetlejuice and The Abyss, if you haven't seen those already.
As far as 80s movies go, I would really love to see you react to a great action sci fi comedy, "Innerspace", produced by Spielberg and starring Martin Short, Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan. It's a unique story and a very fun movie that people seem to have forgotten about.

Check out The Heavenly Kid from 1985. It's more of a comedy than Ghost but does have serious moments. It's about a guy who dies in the 1950's and, in order to get into Heaven, has to help out a teenage boy in the 1980's. He finds out that the boy is the son of the woman he loved when he was alive.
I love this movie. After all these years and hundreds of times watching I still cry at the end.. Another great Whoopi movie you might consider reacting to is Corina Corina..
What I loved about this is the movie execs originally didn't want Whoopi for the role of "Oda Mae,' & it was Patrick that said to them that they either hire her for the role or he wasn't going to do the movie and this is the movie that she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. The other little interesting fact about one of the actors, Tony Goldwyn (Carl), is the grandson of one of the three founders of MGM (Samuel Goldwyn as the G in the initials). Also in 3 of his first 6 acting credits (movie and overall acting debut was getting killed in "Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives," as a man dying of AIDS on an episode of "Designing Women" & this movie) I joke that see getting killed in the beginning of your acting career and one day you can be President of the US (well, he did play the role of the President in the hit series "Scandal")

A great video aa always, take care! ❤
My mom an get 2 gf who also had sons my age took us all to see this movie with them ( meaning no babysitters ) so I must have been 3-4 and I remember this past cus it’s when we all got kicked out cus even tho I thought I was being quiet I kept screaming to my mom “ mommy why are they playing with their 💩? “ and from what I was told as I grow up. I continuously asked even tho they have a few warnings, but we finally got the boot an I remember my 20 year old mom being so mad she threw the soda at me on the way to the car 😂 childhood trauma 🤦🏻♂️
DEFINITEY watch Overboard. Also, I do love Ghost- some of the romance is super corny, but you’re right about the chemistry between Whoopi and Patrick Swayze. So good, so funny.
Tank is another fun movie you might like. It's from 1984 and it's an action drama with some comedy mixed in. It stars James Garner, Shirley Jones, Jenilee Harrison and C. Thomas Howell.
This movie won Best Screenplay AND Best Support Actress Oscars for Whoopi Goldberg. You liked the banter between Sam and Oda Mae because before she became the woke whack that she is today, Whoopi was actually a talented comedic actress back in the day and quite a lot of what she did was improvised. That always makes movies (and tv shows) better. She deserved her Oscar and the movie is a classic. Keep up with the classics. You're a pleasure to watch.
Whoopie Goldberg is a great comedic actress. She played a similar part when she brought a spy in from the cold in Jumpin' Jack Flash. I vote yes on Overboard. Love the pair of stars together,
I mentioned several movie suggestions in your prior reaction but I forgot one from the 70`s. It`s a 1975 comedy with Wilder Feldman and Kahn, the same gang from Y. Frankestein. The title is "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes` Smarter Brother". It is the usual silly, goofy comedy from these three actors and weirdly no one has reacted to it ; it has flown under the radar. Well that`s it, cheers !
The one fact that I love about this movie is the sounds of the shadows were crying babies played backwards and slowed down. There are elements of this movie that adds some legitimate horror to it and that's one of them for me. Love it! Gonna throw out a suggestion for another 1990 classic for you: Jacob's Ladder (the original). A good one for the upcoming Halloween season.
Fantastic film Love your solo reactions. You’re awesome 😎 OVERBOARD is a must. Fer more Patrick Swayze: RED DAWN, ROADHOUSE, DIRTY DANCING, POINT BREAK, OUTSIDERS, and NEXT OF KIN. Great video, keep it up 👍
I went to see this with my mom when I was about 5 years old. I didn't know what was going on but my mama was sobbing as we left the theater I watched it again as an adult and 😢😢😢😢😢 sheesh 😅😅
For romantic movies:"The Way We Were", "Somewhere in Time" , "Jane Eyre" (2011 version) and a partly romantic movie, "The Count of Monte Christo (2002 version).

Fun Fact:You know when Patrick’s Character was singing I’m Henry the eighth I am I am He Actually has a sorta of Singing Career!
You know how Whoppie gave the money to the nuns makes it a good time to watch SISTER ACT where she becomes a nun.
The beginning Sam knew something was up at the business the codes, cash. He didn’t know at the time that it was Carl
6:09 I like how your reaction watching this alone is like your are watching it with your parents. :)
30:48 Aaww....
Yes, absolutely, you'll love Overboard.
A really great paranormal comedy is "Oh Heavenly Dog" with Chevy Chase and Jane Seymour. Or "Heaven Can Wait" with Warren Beatty.
Yes, we did have email in the 90s, but not until the internet was invented at the end.
32:41 Get ready then... 😭 (I bawl from here to the end.)
30:22 Aw, she gonna let him come inside her... that so sweet!
That 4 million are 24 million now more or less.
Yes, I think you would really enjoy Overboard!
Kacee you may be sensitive to the sulfites in the wine which is added as a preservative, you can buy wine without added sulfites just ask the clerk! I love this movie by the way!
Hi Kacce.
May I say, you are beautiful and have a great sense if humour.
Your guy Is a very lucky man
Ghost is a fantastic movie.
It has a simple yet wonderful story.
It does a great job of helping you get to know the characters and helps you connect with them.
There is of course some wonderful humour in it too.
As for movies, if you haven't seen it, I think you'd really enjoy ' Pretty woman '
It's a great movie that was made somewhere around the time if ghost I think and has a good story.
A great video aa always, take care! ❤
This movie is so great!! Overboard should be next!!
One of my all time favorites.
Have to watch Overboard next, such a classic. Love that movie
I continuously asked even tho they have a few warnings, but we finally got the boot an I remember my 20 year old mom being so mad she threw the soda at me on the way to the car 😂 childhood trauma 🤦🏻♂️
i've always cried at the end of the movie
Best reaction was the pottery scene! You can now appreciate the Naked Gun scene even more! It was genius!
Aaww I would love to sit there drinking healthy wine with her and yelling at romance movies. Looks so fun lol
This is a lot darker than I remember, yes you should definitely watch Overboard one of my favourites.
Back before Whoopi Goldberg turned into an insane person and was likable lol
YES! do overboard! youll love it! its a family favorite of ours
Love the pair of stars together,
The nun who fainted was the mother of the writer of "GHOST".
* Wilder, Feldman
26:00 - She tries to get the money back by pretending to be a nun in the movie "Sister Act".
Overboard's great. More light-hearted and romcom. I met the screenwriter, Leslie Dixon, for it and she was a lovely person.
Fantastic film
Love your solo reactions. You’re awesome 😎
OVERBOARD is a must.
Fer more Patrick Swayze: RED DAWN, ROADHOUSE, DIRTY DANCING, POINT BREAK, OUTSIDERS, and NEXT OF KIN.
Great video, keep it up 👍
I would like to see more romance reactions!
Two good ones are Untamed Heart and Serendipity.
You have to see Overboard, is fantastic, so fun.
Overboard is a MUST watch!
Would suggest for you to watch point break, dirty dancing, and road house to see how amazing Patrick Swayze was an actor
