More marvellous content to help with the vocabulary. I learned about chord tones in a few lessons I had last year but only after watching your explanation does it make sense. Thank you 🙏
Thank you very much Lynden for those simple but nice licks. I’am sure i will have some fun to incorporate those in my practice. Merci beaucoup from Quebec, Canada.
I can hear these licks working over little sunflower … in the correct scales .. floating over the medium Latin beat .. got to try . Thank you Lynden . Great stuff .
Hi Lynden Great lesson, many thanks. I wonder if you could do a lesson on how you played these, I mean in terms of how you scooped up to certain notes. Was it a scoop or was it going quickly from the note below it. Also how much vibrato and fade out to use. These are the details that really brought these licks to life when you played them. Looking forward to the next lesson. Cheers Tony Right now off to buy you a coffee.
Hi Tony, I really appreciate your support thank you. I’ll definitely think about what you’ve said in terms of making a tutorial but to answer your question I habitually scoop a little bit and it’s an unconscious thing in all honesty. Vibrato is more conscious for me and a little at the end of a longer straight note is the form for me. Does that help a little? 🤝🤝😎😎🎷🎷
Hi Lynden Your tone on the alto is fabulous. I know the theory but getting the beautiful tone is the most important. I wonder what reed you are using..regards
Lynden you have that smooth sound - Paul Desmond to my ears in that higher register without going into the stratosphere. What mouthpiece and reed do you use?
Hey Lynden. Great video. I purchased an IPad (Apple iPad Pro 1st Gen - 12.9”) so I can finally use SessionBand. Are there any issues with various iOS versions do you know?
Thanks Marty. If the iPad is quite old then unfortunately more modern apps won’t load I’m afraid. It’s the way Apple keep updating the software as far as my very limited understanding goes. 🥸🎷🎷
Thanks, another brilliant lesson
Dave that’s really nice of you to say and you’re most welcome 🤝🤝🎷🎷😎😎

Hi Trefor and thank you so much for saying that. I’m using Rigotti 2.5 S The Gold ones, hope that helps 🤝🤝😎😎🎷🎷
Thanks Lynden

Wow thank you Martin, that’s very kind of you to say. I use a Meyer 5 medium chamber with a 2.5 Rigotti reed 🤝🤝🎷🎷😎😎
