To me when i say classic Zelda what i really mean is classic Dungeons. Botw or totk open world but with linear skyward sword like Dungeons; would be prefect in my opinion.
@@matthewvandyk7773 Totally fair. I think for me it’s not just about the linearity of the dungeons but also about how uniquely themed a lot of them could be. Like Skyward Sword as the example again, you would go from a time traveling robot pirate ship, to a Buddhist inspired temple that acts as a metaphor for good and evil and none of it messed with the overall tone of the game. Definitely something that was missed in Botw.
Look, I know this inevitably gets said on most smaller TH-camrs Channels... and I typically roll my eyes at it. But I genuinely thought this was a larger channel. 10k subs, at least. But I am the 17th viewer. Wild. I'm not going to say something cliche, like "you're totally gonna make it dude," but color me impressed.
The older fans want a return to form, absolutely. But many of the newer fans also want a return to form after they experience the older games. It may be a minority of he newer fans, but I think the point still stands. It is not just nostalgia that causes us to love older design elements of Zelda
@@PalaeoJoe Yeah I mostly agree. Don’t get me wrong I still think nostalgia is a big factor when it comes to our love for some of these games, but many Zelda games stand up pretty well to the test of time and are definitely good enough to draw in people who never got to grow up with them.
I've been getting smaller creators for Zelda stuff recommended and I couldn't be happier. This video is amazing man. Happy Holidays by the way!
@radvelvetcakez Glad you liked it, and happy holidays!
