Well , the guys are all pros! The bass and trumpet players have been backing Steve Gadd and James Taylor for years - the drummer has been with Allan Holdsworth and Zappa - the sax player has played with “everyone” (check my videos with David Garfield, Karizma) - and Mike has played with Chick Corea’s Electric Band and Boz Scaggs! (I’m interviewing Mike tomorrow - the interview will post Sunday at noon)
Actually I have several videos as well as an interview with Mike. I have him in The Zappa Band, Beer for Dolphins ( who I’ll be seeing again in January), Progject, and One Shot Deal (where he has a killer guitar duel with Jamie Kime on Willie the Pimp 05-12-23)
@cohalensadventures5331 yes yes yes, I'm a huge beer for dolphins fan and used to trade tapes when I was a teenager. Got to meet him a few times, lovely human. Always wanted to go to the baked potato just to see him.

i was digging wackermans phrasing lots of set ups peaks hills and valleys they all painted a land scape , iv heard mike with a lot of drummers , i watched him curse out tom brechline wile enjoying a broccoli cheese backed potato at the backed potato years ago, novak he played great with,. wackerman has that more thudy roc fusion sound but a big ranging kit,. also he must have great reading skills to not get lost and phrase around the tune like that ,. as mike is hardcore throw a chart at you and say play ,. one 32nd note off or something like brechline, he would get pissed, so basically mike has his rhythm section whipped into perfect shape hear with all the horns over the top its solid ,. complex tunes'
Chad reads for sure having been with Holdsworth and Zappa and being raised by a musical instructor father and with three brothers (two drummers and a bassist) he’s well seasoned! And Mike has great comfort playing with this lineup. They were so loose and happy that night music and laughter just flowed out of them. I’ll be posting an interview with Mike Sunday at noon!
