Is it just me or the narrator here is narrating everything very hesitantly and carefully as if one wrong word and its over for her?
You said in the beginning Jennie has a magnetic charm but I diasgree and don't think that's the case. She seems rather very demure, quiet, and reserved. Yes she has stage presense and on stage she can be fierce, but her real personality is nothing like the image yg portrays. She just happens to be in the spotlight, and that celebrity status as well as yg's marketing department is what does the heavy lifting of keeping this aura about her that causes so much public attention. I think what actually pulls and works to her favour is her down to earth oersona, which is refreshing to see in a celebrity. Had she not had a marketing team behind her working 24/7 to push her forward, she wouldn't be seen as interesting - what I mean is, she doesn't have the charisma and charm (that certain famous people are known for) like you make it out to be. Her beauty, status (including her upper class background), and talent is what puts her on a pedastal and gives her this power. A lot of female rappers that YG debuts seem to have this same problem, where they're nothing like the baddie image they portray. They're yet to find a girl who actually lives the public persona they push through the rapper role. Maybe this is why, now that Jennie left YG, she'll pursue a more softer, feminine image and maybe chose singing songs over rapping and rap verses?
