Sir, ek doubt hai. Agar Take Snapshot is successful but Transfer to vault fail hota hai to kya hum VM restore kar sakte hai kya? What is difference between both of them?

sorry dear, i didn't understood your question. are you asking about azure vm snapshot or the azure vm backup?

@@azurepedia sorry sir, I could not mentioned my query properly. So I am writing it again.
In 9.18 min of your video, we can see under Sub tasks their are 2 tasks shown i.e. Take Snapshot and other is Transfer data to vault. So, my question is what if one of the sub tasks I.e. Transfer data to vault fails due to any reason in that case how much vulnerable situation our server is in or Take Snapshot task is enough to ensure our server data is backed up successfully?

@@surajpardeshi6083 ok, see snapshot in backup means there is a local snapshot in the storage account, and is faster to restore. also default retention period for snapshot is only 2 days. although you can increase the snapshot retention in backup policy. Transfer data in vault means they are slower as it needs to be pulled from the vault and default retention period is 30 days and you can increase it also. so no issue you data will recovered without any issue.

Aap availability zones me fault domain and update domain ka concept bataye the.lets say we have one VM X which has a copy of Y in another fault domain.Agar x ka koi data file ya folder galti se mere se delete ho gaya.Toh back up toh me le hi skta huun.but sir rather than taking a back up can we restore x vm data files or folders from Y vm?? Or this doesnot make sense??

No u cannot restore x vm data from y vm....see availability zone or availability set are fully managed by ms from backend...we just enable it for the high availability. To restore the data u have to always uae backup
