I think the main reason FH5 dropped so hard was the progression. You start the game, win 2 races and get a hypercar. There's no going up the ranks and earning better/faster cars like in previous titles, it's just "OK, you bought the game, here's your Bugatti, or whatever."
@@Mangopawsss i am not going lie but Forza horizon 4 got better gameplay (if u don't include car sound and yea they are somewhat bad if u very carefully to listen to car sound) and diversity in weather then Forza horizon 5
I played FH1, FH3 and FH5. In my personal experience, Forza Horizon 1 was the only one to actually make the whole scenario feel like a festival you were looking to win. That kept me going back and attempting to complete the game. 3 and 5 felt more like you've already made it and there's no reason to climb the ranks. That being said, I liked FH5, but there's no staying power. Every weekly challenge feels the same and if I've done 1, I've done all.
I don't trust the forza team to make a Japan map so I don't want them to do it. They'd ruin it. Japan has relatievely narrow roads that make even relatively low speeds feel fast but do you really think that they'll stop pandering to the Lamborghini kids now? Lol no. They'll make every road as wide as a motorway, like they have done so far. Also the maps are too dead traffic-wise.
@@Freezorgium I agree. Japan would appeal to actual car guys. Mexico appeals to little kids. Theres a reason fh4 went from the beauty of the cars and classical music to fh5 with hype music mexico, free cars woo! go fast, have them speak spanish every other sentence.
Forza Horizon 4 was beautiful, I spent so much time driving around and testing out all the cars because the scenery and map was so great, when I played FH5 it just felt vast and empty
Same Same i actually really miss playing FH4 and i am actually re downloading FH4 because im just getting tried of playing FH5 its so dang boring and FH4 it felt Alive and had actual seasons and had dang winter 😫 which is my favorite season and its scenery and map is just So So much better then FH5. i had so much memories in FH4. 😔
Hi, I completely agree. I’m English, & driving around in game is almost identical to the scenery in the uk. I went back to FH4 after 1 month on FH5, better looking in every way, better handling too in my opinion.
@@charlesthomasskinner yes definitely FH4 just feels Alive and the map is gorgeous I really do miss playing FH4 im actually going to play it again instead of FH5 is so dang boring imo.
I don’t understand you people, maybe it’s because I just started playing but yeah okay maybe there aren’t that many structures across the map, yeah maybe the main city isn’t that great, but the map is just beautiful and has everything for every type of racer. I’ve had so much fun even just cruising along the roads, watching the vastness of the open world.
I just wish I could do online racing without having it randomly choose between C -> S2 class races and between off-road races to street races. If we are tuning a car to use, it makes it impossible to actually test it against other people, so you are just stuck doing rivals 24/7.
When the computer cars actually fly at 180 through a 90 degree turn..it no longer becomes competition it becomes ridiculous. I hate the weekly races. I took a screen shot and sent it to forza support asking them what the deal is. AI is supposed to be hard..but they took the fun out of it.
for me its the fact that they all brake to like 30kmh on t1 and let one car get away then suddenly that car in the lead gets NOS or something and you simply cant catch it.
i remember when a few months ago there was a screenshot on reddit where unbeatable ai literally made fastest world lap on certain race, its just retarded at this point
@@obscura1839 and befor the end they slam on the brake to give u a chance to catch up, ever noticed? when u are in front and nobody behind and 30sec later u got one car on your ass and that just takes u over like wtf? and then at the end it slows down befor the finish and u just catch up... notice it every time
They need: 1. More dense ai traffic cars. 2. More narrow roads and cities 3. Harder to obtain hypercars and supercars (harder to obtain credits) 4. Make the environment more alive
They need options for the AI cars and pedestrians, being able to increase the traffic or turn it off completely would be great... Why isn't this an option yet?
FH1 had you start as a beginner, make your way through the ranks, challenge some of the star drivers as you go and it culminates in the final race with Darius Flynt. Your character also gets more recognition as the game progresses. The radio stations talk about you and the star racers acknowledge you as you go on. The other games feel endless with no story or any point.
@@ZAH33D Except that NFS had many good iterations, just a few to mention: Underground 1&2, Carbon, Most Wanted (Ps2 version), Heat, Payback (More or less), Hot pursuit, Undercover, the one in official race tracks which I forgot the name, and the rest is a bit on the downside but not too bad. Forza Horizon, however, has only been getting worse and worse. It's like the game improved by 30% considering some gameplay mechanics and in game events while everything else got worse, progression and campaign being the biggest offenders.
Fh3 at least offered a cool laid back vibe of customizing your experience with all the festivals. It felt like the final game in the series, after years of racing and reaching star power, you were the boss and showcased Australia through your own festival decisions
Just a note: 7% google searches do not mean only 7% of players are still playing. I play FH5 frequently but don't typically consume content around it. Also not all of the people searching at the peak have even played the game to begin with.
I agree with this. Google search trends do not reflect the player base. In fact they only represent new people searching about the game. I even checked steam charts, and although there is a decline of around 50% (not 7% or 9%), but this is quite usual for consecutive titles with sequels. However, I do concur that Asseto Corsa does indeed have a growing player base, which can be credited correctly to all its modding support, community and updates.
Yeah, it's doing very badly or should i say struggling because im sure it sold well but one month at least this year i read FH4 had more steam players.
I went back to playing Horizon 4, it's just a bit better somehow. My first Horizon was the first one, and no other Forza can match that one in terms of the feeling of progress and being at a festival. Horizon 1 is such an iconic game, I don't think I've ever felt that excitement with any other Horizon game.
I honnestly didn't really like FH4. Super buggy, the physic was the most arcade that we ever gotten, the map was empty compared to previous games, and the weather was absolute trash. I have to admit that the updates were the best ever done on a horizon game tho! But yeah, I agree with you, FH1 was for real enthusiast, and the festival vibe was really part of the game!
I find it funny reading this comment. I remember reading the same exact comments but on fh4. People were like this sucks I'm back to playing fh3 and now its fh5 sucks I'm back to playing fh4
I remember playing NFSU2 back when it came out. That storyline and the effort it took to modify your car was super rewarding. Driving to each shop. 1 part at a time. Everytime I jump on FH5 nowadays, I feel like I’m on for 5 mins, get bored, feel lonely/like I’m the only one playing (with nothing to play for) and then just hop off the game and don’t play it for another few months. Zero storyline to it. Map is spammed with events… it’s quite overwhelming. Etc
I went back to playing horizon 4. The map feels so much more lively and much more fun to drive, and I like a lot of the music a lot better. I wish the physics and graphics were a bit better though. Online is a lot emptier than it used to be, but horizon 4 still feels nice and friendly.
thats what you get with society nowadays... people need to be rewarded quickly or they be gone... thats why you also see those loot crates and or other rewarding systems to trigger people to keep playing (but actually just playing lootbox / lottery games) And yes... thats why the western society is also falling apart too... the youth expect almost everything to get instantly... they have no discipline and dont want to work for something at all... it ruines games but also is a big issue in the real world... for example... they expect a high paying job... with just finishing middle school... yes... they expect higher hourly payments than people who actually studied at university etc...
The map is so bland in fh5. The city is boring. Pretty much a flat land everywhere. Barely any traffic on the Highway. The monthly cars ain't new cars but old recycle ones. We do get the occasional new car but even then its lack luster. I want a dense map with traffic with a big city with huge buildings. Also driving almost 250mph feels like 80
i got fh4 (from turkey store so pretty cheap after launch) after spending hours in fh3 and loving it (and played fh2 and fh1 on xbox 360 played the shit out of fh1 and a bit fh2 bujt that lagged so bad on x360) and i was so disapointed with h4... then got fh5 cause my friends wanted to play and i paid 60€ and yeah nah sucks.... its the same shit remade even COD does more changes
@@ThaAnswerMD25 just don’t do the campaign missions and mute your tv every time the characters speak. That’s what I did. It’s fun with a racing wheel. Not much value beyond that, I’ll admit.
My problem with 5 is the map is boring, adding more cities would have been better. Not sure what México looks like but having modern looking cities would have been good. México has more money than El Salvador, and when I went to El Salvador the cities looked more modern than this game’s cities.
100% agree. I don't think that them going with Mexico was necessarily a bad idea, but their execution of a Mexican map was such a failure. Beautiful but lifeless, empty and boring. There are plenty of modern cities in Mexico so I don't get why they completely failed to put one in the game. I lost interest in playing FH5 after just a couple weeks, compared to six months to a year of play time in FH3 and 4.
@@mannydcbianco I have this opinion about Forza Horizon 4 as well. I don't think britain was a bad idea for a map/location, i think the execution was terrible though. The fact that the whole main area of the map used is the lower part, where the festival is in the middle of nowhere, and all the good looking places (like the bridge, edinburgh) are at the edges of the map, far away from the festival. Also why tf did they pick scotland over england? Ik part of the map is northern england, but the whole english part is just lots of land. I think the map should have been centered in just england itself. England is very influential on cars, more than scotland is Just imagine this, 2 cities, Brighton (nice because it has beaches), London (because obviously), And also, i think they missed a huge opportunity to include the White Cliffs Of Dover. White Cliffs Of Dover would have made the map a lot less dull and samey all across. If you don't know what it is, google it, it's really pretty and would fit in perfectly in a horizon game. London, Brighton and White Cliffs Of Dover are all approximately located in one corner of england, near enough to each other to be shrinked into a fictional map based on real life Idk, just my thoughts on what they could have done better for Horizon 4's map, i think it was a missed opportunity
Mexico is a boring location. I loved going there in vacation but never have I thought any car culture got their way there. This was mainly to appeal to the North American fanbase. There were at least 5 locations more appealing. Going back to Europe, South Africa, Japan, Brazil or the Middle East for me, for example
@@hectorcastellanos7025 I meant as in I never went there myself, seeing pictures doesnt give it justice. You should know “ito” is part of the nickname.
I stopped playing FH5 a couple of months ago and decided to go back to FH3 and boy was I happy to be playing that game again! I discovered that I was only 35% complete the game, everything isn't given to you so easily. The map has so many cool locations, It really gives me the vibes and it has every car I could ever want. FH3 is the best forza horizon game in the series imo
I miss the online lobbies from fh3. You knew how many people were in the lobby at all times, and you knew exactly where people were on the map. Fh4 and fh5 make you play a guessing game on where people are hanging out. I don't like having to talk to people on there, but I do enjoy driving where other people are driving. This is the most lonely online game I've ever played. Fh3 got it all right with online play. Improving on that system would have worked for all of us.
4 has a proper online lobby for the whole map. 5 has an 'adaptive lobby' system where only players within a certain area where you are at the map will be online with you. The problem with that is it doesn't work most of the time, hence the freeroam feels empty and dead. You had to guess where the player hotspots are in 5 and hope there are players there meet. In 4 you can look at the map and see where the players are, fast travel as you wish and meet them.
I love forza, but this is my first horizon, it's a great game, however its main flaw is the map, it's too empty, the game needs a city expansion map, preferably more traffic, and atleast give us customisable exhausts especially for tuner cars, overall its still a great game imo
i agree, one of the things you could do in previous forza games was hide and seek. now you can't really play that in fh5 because the map is so spread out and sparse
I think the most fun I ever had in FH5 was using the different horns with my friends... because it was fuckin hilarious making horse sounds and stuff. But honestly, deep down, the FH4 map (AND a lot of other aspects of the previous one) felt SO much more ALIVE and VARIED. All of the seasons, the winter as well, super fun. IMO, they kinda shot themselves in the foot by choosing Mexico as a location for everything.
@@Unboundiing Hell yeah dude. FH4 is crazy fun in comparison to FH5. The Mexico map sucks. I've never been to the UK but the map was fun and lively in FH4. Now it's just a bunch of rocky dirt.
Saying that FH3 has no diff in graphics compared to FH5 is crazy. I mean, it has great visuals, but just because it's old doesn't mean you're obligated to love it more than any other Forza Horizon
I like FH5. Have 805 hours in it. Raced all my cars in online couple of times for each car, recently bought a car pass to get all the Audi's etc., simply enjoy cars. Usually play playground games, eliminator not so much... Like just to drive around the map and chill, then find someone, change car to the one like his, and we cruise along having fun with someone I don't even know, that's what I appreciate the most.
@@TheRealAeroAlpha especially the window decals like how can FH5 still not have that option meanwhile other games like NFS Prostreet from '07, NFS 2015 to Unbound, etc has that option?
I've been saying for years now that the next FH needs to be more like the 1st one. There's skill involved in class racing I can't stand that you can just max out your cars and enter any race takes all the fun out of ot
I want a Forza Horizon game where you have to save the festival from a bad guy. Have a bracket system like how NFS has it where you have to face a boss and if you win you get their car. This would be a nice lead-in to having new game modes like cops and robbers or escort missions, and challenges like "Your opponent is cheating by using illegal car mods, you must beat them in a car 1 class lower then their car"
In terms of online, I really liked FH1’s online system from it being a separate mode on the main title screen from single player, which in multiplayer you could pick what you wanted to do instantly with a race, infected, king and flag or freeroam. You could name the lobby to pretty much anything. And there was a server list as well as private sessions too. Pretty much just bring FH1’s online again
Some of my best memories in FH4 were the playground games. The castle map was way more fun compared to what we have now. Also I loved the progression system when you would get actual rewards compared to the useless accolade points
Also the ai’s on harder difficulty are in rails and are made to make a “dramatic finish” where they basically slow down but it’s not realistic at all and super annoying when the cars just pull away from you with no remorse because they can take corners +25mph faster than you
So true, the AI on pro and unbeatable difficulty will make impossible maneuvers in shitty cars and are impossible to catch, not to mention you have to fight through a grid of 11 cars while in my experience whichever AI starts at pole position wins the race regardless of their car setup
The best thing is when you race with the same cars with the same specs and rank and everyone are faster than your car. So annoying. Had to lower difficulty a lot to finish races in top 3.
i mean if you want a realistic game, its your fault for choosing an arcade racer like forza horizon and not something like assetto corsa or even forza motorsport.
@@jackieburkhart3268 maybe you read incorrectly - we are not complaining about the realism as in the physics of driving as a player in forza horizon, but the game design and difficulty when it comes to racing the A.I. and how these physics seem to no longer apply. It has nothing to do with the game being arcade-y, we have no problems driving a car like that. But when the same rules of physics don’t apply to the A.I., we have an issue. Those other two games are nothing like horizon at all
I won't lie I really loved fh4 unlike a lot of people but you can really notice a difference between fh3 and fh4, fh4 had seasons, the festival playlist, and the stories, the problem with fh5 is that it was just an fh4 regen they really should have done something new like the large bridge on the south side of the map could have led to a huge city that is a complete different map with different features.
and to add to the copy/paste feeling they made another hot wheels expansion with an inferior map to the one from fh3. if the next expansion is just yet another storm island type thing, like we had with treasure island in fh4 or, god forbid, LEGO... i've had it! at least both major expansions for fh3 were entirely new to forza at the time
Just because this content creator has an opinion because he saw a few posts that didn't seem to like FH4 as much as the rest of us should be taken with a grain of salt. That's one dude's opinion. I mean... are you shitting me? FH4 was and probably is the best Forza so far. I played Forza Horizons 4 for almost two years straight. The forza save data glitch hit me twice and I lost everything... twice and I still bounced back because the game is just that much fun. It was and is a great game. FH5 doesn't compare.
Do people actually dislike FH4? Come on, those tight roads and the scenery can't be hated. The graphics are still amazing to this day, the best visuals of any racing game. The only issue i take is that there's just not enough British cars, why can't I have a Vauxhall Calibra? Where's the Vectra or Nova? I wanted some shitty classic chav motors in a car game set in britian. I wanted a Ford Orion, Sierra, Escort etc, not just the cossies. And why is there no Burberry cap? Why is it so catered towards high end shite, is it only me that finds supercars a bit dull? Wow, the Jesko is fast... wow, the Ferrari is fast... wow, the Lamborghini is fast... wow, the Buggatti is ZZZzzzzz... I like something shit so I can turn it into a supercar slaying beast. That's where the fun is.
mainly its about progression and reward system, i remember playing most wanted against baron the 10th blacklist, i didn't have enough money to upgrade or buy better car to defeat him so i have to improvise by racing the same track over and over again until i can defeat him, and the exhilirating and satisfying feeling when i finally defeat them is really what made me replayed nfsmw so much, the feeling when you work hard for something the result doesn't dissapoint now forza, after 2 days you are playing and you already got a koenigsegg from a wheel spin or stock cars but with so many cheap choices of swappable engines, hell you can even pick between a c8 corvette or a supra from the start. what's the point of playing anymore when you already got everything you basically need ?
My problem is one that no one else seems to really find a problem, but.. I just don’t like the way the new horizon life works. This is the first horizon game where, if you pause in free roam and look throughout the map for other players and where they are, you will only see ones around your general radius. Once they drive further off, POOF! Their map blip disappears…
Dark Voxis... I feel your pain. This is such BS. In FH4, if I didn't feel like jumping right into an event, I would free roam the map. The people on the map were going to be there unless *they* personally chose to leave. I used to have on average 30-40 players roaming the map that I could link or fast travel to and maybe do a highway race. Now, I start the game and look at this map and see maybe one player if I'm fucking lucky. Thanks for making the map so much bigger Forza. Now instead of friends, I just have a long drive through an overabundance of small cacti and rocks.
I agree with this so much. Back in FH3 I used to look around to map and see where the majority of people were whether it was at the drift spot, drag strip, or some car meet spot you knew where to go to actually enjoy the game with others in the lobby. In this game I literally have to drive around the map for what feels like forever just to find MAYBE one person who usually is just doing their own thing not wanting to race or anything. This new system just kills the social aspect even more than they did once they got rid of the normal game chat system from the original horizon titles.
The multiplayer experience would feel so much better if you could actually INTERACT with the people in your free-roam lobbies. This stopped existing when they removed voice chat in FH3, and even then, it could've been better. there's much potential with free-roam
I'll never understand why they took this feature out. I honestly don't even know how to get someone to hear me or me hear them when I join a lobby. I've done it a couple times but I had to have somebody talk me through. It Never was like this before that I remember. I used to play for hours and hours doing street racing and had so much fun. Now it's like impossible to even find more than one or two people racing.
This. Game feels so lonely even though its always online. Also pvp races are a joke, It's all a competition of who can min-max PI scores and exploit the broken tuning physics
@@staydown4bo So I guess maybe my immediate confusion is what is the difference between a convoy and you just driving around aimlessly with other people online? Is it convoy like a specific group of players that you essentially make a chat room for lack of better words with? And if you can't talk to these people before you're in a convoy with them, how the hell do you even get them to know what you're looking to do? As in whether it be street race, drift, etc? It used to be so simple on horizon 3.
@@DMort22 The idea of a convoy is to pretty much to start an in game group with other players to play with. The issue with this is EXACTLY what you just stated and the main reason it doesn't work. I want to know who i'm inviting to play with me isn't some annoying kid or someone who is actually interested in doing what I want to do without going through the process of inviting them to a convoy randomly and just hoping they're a normal person lol. FH3 was perfect because you could join a game and hear what people were saying and decide if you want to talk to them or not and you could see what they were doing on the map by looking at whatever area they're in unlike FH5 which doesn't even allow you to see others on the map unless they're directly near you.
It’s just overwhelming, so many diff challenges and races all at once, gets too confusing. It’s nice to start with a trash car, race and earn your way up, not have a million challenges and a million cars at your fingertips soon as starting the game
Yep. They made it impossible to play infected now without being forced to play the other modes that aren't fun at all. They made some of the worst maps I've ever seen for playground games on FH5
This is the reason I can't wait for Test Drive Unlimited solar crown. You have a massive density and a lot of twisty roads on Hong Kong Island. Plus you have a good amount of straight roads especially the tunnel. I think it would be the longest tunnel in a video game
The reason it fell off for me is I like to race and earn cars not win a slot machine spin just to be rewarded with emotes, dresses and chicken suits. To me it's exactly the same as FH4 just a different location. Both games died for me after a couple of weeks.
I think part of the reason why there is decline is that forza is trying to be like gran turismo but being a racing sandbox game it's in the arena of games that have heavy modding support. Games like beamng, assetto corsa, gtav etc. Its no lie that games see a much longer life if they have mod support. Fallout 4 for exanple is a game that was mediocre for fallout 4 fans but mods gave the game a whole new life, and it's still going strong 5+ years later.
After coming from FH4, FH5 at first really seemed like a great upgrade to me. However, as I kept on playing, I gradually realized that it's not what it seemed to be. The map is the first main issue. I really wanted to like the desert dunes and large forests of Mexico. Yet, it is really boring (no offense) as it lacked the vibrant colors of different seasons of Edinburgh in FH4. I got so nostalgic during the FH4 throwback opening theme last week that I shed a couple of tears even. I even have that theme song as my ringtone since 2018. In FH5, even the songs are boring and nohow gives off "racing game" vibes. Base Arena songs are at best R&B rather than being rock or something. The hip-hop songs, let's say I never listen to that radio station ever again, which was my main station in FH4. As I played more, I gradually realized how frustrating the game can be. Like you are in an Eliminator top 10 head-to-head battle and are just flooring it until a random rock appears and bam, you get eliminated. Or how they managed to totally f up the weekly speed traps, speed zones, trailblazer, and danger sign by making most of them frustrating beyond imagination. I used to play FH4 for the unadulterated fun that it had. FH5 is the exact opposite. I still come back to this game every week for fun, only to get annoyed and exit. If I want to be frustrated, I'll just play dota or something.
The evolution of Forza Horizon is really sad... Just the same game again and again. No new modes, no real updates,.. You get your first supercar after like 10 minutes ingame. You win a new car after every 2 races or stack hundrets of wheelspins per week. It's just massively unbalanced und not rewarding. And multiplayer did never really work. We never managed to play together.
I think it all comes down to the map, and story. Look at other games in the franchise. Horizon 1, smaller map, players are closer together with the other AI's, and had a good storyline where you progress up and earn your cars and feel like you own them. Same with horizon 2. Horizon 3 had a shorter storyline, but the map made it though. One minute you were in a jungle, then in the desert, the city or beach. But some how it all felt connected and you feel like you see loads of drivertars and players. Now 4 is where the decline starts to happen. The map saves it a little, but you have hardly any storyline nor do you really have to work for your cars as much as you used to. This crosses over to 5 now. The map is so empty in 5, you feel like your the only one on the map. The city is non existent, and the amount of people making one shows how much people want one, it's just abit to vast really. 3 was the sweet spot between map and story.
Horizon 4's map got carried by seasons, without them it's piss poor. I still think they could have done a better job populating the map in 5, but I wouldn't say it's empty, I still love exploring it. The story sucks as much as 4 tho
It needs a city, a big one. FailRace does a Survive the Hunt series on GTAV and used to do it on FH4 in their city. Object was he had to hide as an NPC car and his buddies have to catch him in under an hour. Very interesting, but he can't do it on FH5 because no city. Also means no city races which are fun
Tbh Forza has never been a day to day game for me but I always come back to it every couple months or so. I love every Horizon, 5 is incredible to me. It’s such a gorgeous, chill, great vibe game, I just can’t play it all the time.
I've had a glitch multiple times, I'll be driving down the highway with other random players and then they just dissappear out of thin air and when it started I got bored
I think there is one thing that's missing. Competition you see racing online in fh5 is not really fun because you got nothing to win. But if they add online racing for normal racing, drifting, drag, and custom races and add exclusive rewards like cars it will probably make the game more active
@@TheLPN05Fan Arguably a worse outcome. IT'll just make the initial flood of new players a false positive, confuse the company when the content stops getting played two weeks later, and worst of all, convince the publisher that the dev team is wasting resources on an idea that players, through lack of participation, have silently admitted they aren't interested in. The TL;DR of that is "Enjoying it but being bored of it defeats the purpose of making that content". It would be self-defeating.
Maybe more people play the game then what you see here since many play offline because online against random idiots is not fun and never had been, to be honest here.
@@niemand7811 ... Th... Th-That's literally the exact population of players in question though... xD Legit, almost NOBODY plays this game online, not even for cooperative play unless it's either A: for Trials or B: with friends. And I'm willing to make that argument that trials makes up at least 15% while playing online with friends makes up, at BEST 5%. Forza Horizon 5 is a game that you could pull the plug on online play and you really wouldn't be missing much of anything, if anything at all. The people who ram and drive like garbage online are basically shunned by the community as it is, so you're not alone in that respect.
I miss the PS2 racing games, where there was actual progression and the rewarding in those games were definitely worth the effort, like for example, Shutokou Battle 01, where as you continue to go up against harder opponents, better rewards come in, and the higher the race combo, the more money you get. For me, a lot of the PS2 racing games I play are more worth it for me than Forza Horizon 5, because I feel like the recent Forza Horizon games have very little to no progression.
I will agree progression is the main reason I got real bored of most of the Forza games, I’ve been playing most racing games lately and I’ve started off with Honda fits and Toyota 86s (Mainly GT) but when I played FM7 and FH5, I’ve gotten some of the best cars in the game either with DLC or playing the previous games and getting the cover cars like FH3
The ENTIRE middle of FH5 map is a DESOLATE GHOSTLAND its dead and it feels literally physically depressing being in that hellhole. They have disrespected us, and disrespected Mexico as a country, I say that and I am not even from Mexico.
I just started playing Forza 5, I actually never played the series before, what's frustrating is that after I just started the game it was like "here you go a hyper car good luck handling it" there is no going up the ranks, starting with slow easy cars then going up, also it's super easy earning in-game money and getting new cars, you can drive whatever you want by just doing some easy missions and getting money you can buy the fastest car in the game, there no "OMG finally now I can buy after all the hard work"
a server list would be huge for this game. i used to love server lists in gran turismo 5 from drifting servers, anything goes racing servers, serious racing servers and chill hang out servers. you could always find a server with a group of like minded people.
I still play horizon 5 but have honestly gone back to playing 4 more these days. 5 just got boring quick and it seems like when they fix one issue they create 5 more. When I just wanna run wide open and crazy I go to 5
They need to start making stories for the game they only focus about festival you the boss just boring stuff they could've at least let the player start from the bottom and make his way up also add character, rivals, arrogant bosses each festival should have their own bosses to defeat to make the game way more interesting
Tried this game out and other FH games and didn’t bother touching it after a few races. My no. 1 gripe is that the maps are so goddamn boring, why do the devs always choose Europe or some other country side maps instead of a city map like japan for instance?
I play with it a friend, we always play together. So that changes a lot, sometimes we don’t even do races we just do free-roam stuff, come up with random events and make up races, and we have a hell of a good time, every week. And we haven’t even gotten the hotwheels dlc. It is a good game, specially if you play it with people whose got the same style as you. We try stock car races, try different set ups, it is really fun.
I personally would love mod support and server list and things like that but I think because the game is also on console and is also a more “family friendly” (if that’s the right way to say it) kind of game that Microsoft would never add these sadly. They are the kinds of company that would much rather make more profit by adding more expansions that something like mods for example.
I played FH4 more than any other game on my Xbox One, I absolutely loved it. When FH5 came out I played for a while and it was good honestly. It didn’t do anything wrong, it wasn’t bad but it felt like everything I’ve already done.
Speaking for myself, i still know the day when me and my friends waited until midnight to fire up FH3 because it was the very first FH game coming to PC aswell. It was such a good time to finally have all the cars and that huge map coming from "only" having NFS and The Crew and that point where both games didnt had that huge car lists and were missing cars i always wanted to try/race with. Now with playing FH3,4 and 5 it starts to feel like im doing the same thing over and over which is sorta just how Horizon is made? Like even tho this is my 3rd Horizon game there is always someone who is trying it out for the first time and feels about the current game who we do with our own first time Horzion game. At the end of the day im doing the weekly playlist for lets say 2hrs? and then im driving around a bit before not playing for a week again..
One of the problems for me with Forza Horizon whether it's FH4 or 5 is the Festival Playlist. I enjoy coming back each week to do race challenges, but I find it annoying that for a game that prides itself on being so accessible they force you to race against highly skilled drivatars in order to earn rewards. Personally I usually just like to stick to average difficulty and just chill when I play the game. Since I'm forced to play against highly skilled I just stopped doing it cause I refuse to play the game in a way that I don't want to play it that I simply don't enjoy. So I wish there was a casual festival difficulty with the same cars unlocks and a higher tier difficulty for people who enjoy a bit of challenge, but with more money and wheelspins rewarded as well.
You know? I understand because I used to complain about the locked difficulty too, but then my driving improved like, A LOT and it wasn't hard anymore. 😆 I just hate the repeated cars and how I have a hard time getting rid of them
Highly skilled drivatars are laughable… when I build a new car and put a crappy base tune on it I race Pro. When I have an extremely good car with an amazing tune I race Unbeatable.
Personally the physics of Forza Horizon 2 was perfect, cars actually had weight to them but didnt feel hyper realistic, horizon festival actually felt like it was throughout the whole map and actually had a festival vibe. Either they give us modding support or bring these updates faster and more filled with content and actually focus on the feel of the game, cars dont feel like they're physically on the road and insted feel like they're hovering over the ground
This vid is more about comparing fh5 to ac, I think fh5 fell off because of the story/progression. I still constantly join fh4 lobbies with multiple people where as fh5 is drastically less active
I’ve been playing every Forza since Motorsport 4, and I got to say, Forza Horizon since 3-5 have been sorta the same game and same concepts of maps, and for me I think that’s the reason I found FH5 to get boring within 2-3 months of release. The maps since Horizon 3 have been, a beach section, main city, 60-70% of wasted open grass or forest area, an airstrip, and a long highway. The main thing I found very enjoyable about FH3 was it’s online system, you’d simply choose “go online” and you’d find a lobby of players, but FH4-5 I find it very difficult to know who’s just doing their thing, or who actually wants to play with you.
It dropped cause there wasn't enough content, not enough cars and customisation but also there wasn't as much content as in races and things to do in Forza horizon 5, after a few days there was no point in earning money anymore cause I had all my favourite cars that were in the game
I think forza horizon 6 should consider actually adding cars that people are looking for and listen, like add car we don't have but want, like a non m3 version of a bmw e30 or e36 2 doors and 4 doors! Would be really cool to see in the game. Another good change would have a variety of many wheels from stock oem to any other manufacturer out there like BBS, Work, weds, and gram lights but way to many to list but would be cool. This also applies to the body kits, I'm getting tired of having the same thing every time a new forza releases.
Hey, I'm right with you on your car idea! One of the things I loved about the older Gran Turismo games was how you could go and buy a pretty basic car, something obtainable in real life, and mess around with it.
won't happen, they're more focused on the hypercar kids and pushing out fortnite emotes and wacky costumes or a new skin for the prostheses (for that extra inclusivity points)
Something AC has over games like FH is VR support. That alone makes it much more enticing for the hard-core gamers who would love using their VR in racing games. Modding and server listing would definitely make the game much better to find like-minded people to just chill with.
Completely agree! After playing AC in VR, the Forza franchise can no longer call itself a “sim.” For off-road races, FH5 is absolute trash compared to titles like Dirt Rally and 2.0. And the wheel support in the Forza series is terrible. All of the terrain feels the same.
@@moosedawgatlantaproductions Tbh, I am not even sure if Forza is marketed as a sim because on wheel and pedals, it just feels like the game is forced to take the input whilst others like AC and GT are designed more to be a sim experience. I guess Forza is more of a balance between Arcade and Sim when it comes to racing?? Idk, it just feels like the game is lacking identity of knowing what it wants to be
The editor is a Huge problem. The really active players are for a lot of them playing Toge, i'm in a few different "clubs" and basically we have the volcano. And after 300 hours on the game i need some diversity. To edit a map is just a struggle , if you copy paste an element you can't make it stick to an other by passing nearby. You have to accurately put it against the other thing you want to build it on, while needing the perspective to make it go on the floor, NOT TROUGH THE FLOOR, FORZA. Which prevents any big construction. Almost as if Microsoft wanted to keep their race on top of the one built by players. You need to have a Phd to understand the Rules mechanic and how to change them. Some tracks that i've built took me 4 hours and the result feels bad, you can see defaults everywhere. With a good editor, we'd almost not need Mods. You also can't open your track so you can change a few in car settings (not upgrades) while driving on this track. And i can't count the hours of work lost because my computer crashed, or i just left the editor only to discover that there was no way to save a track you're building. It's just freakin annoying
I’ve played every forza horizon game since fh2, which was the best: FH2 had a special atmosphere and map, it felt so good to drive your car near the coast… the gameplay was also good, the challenges, I remember that I had to spend so many hours to get a Bugatti and try to beat my records. The map felt so alive. FH3 was kinda good, a bit boring, the only thing that really made me playing that game was the fact that you could create your own challenges and play them with friends. FH4 felt a bit monotonous, it got you hypercar instantly and the only thing I really enjoyed was comparing cars because the map had a good straight on the highway, the beautiful Goliath track and especially seasons. Another thing I enjoyed a lot was trying to beat records in the speed zones. Well… FH5 is just boring
Fh5 has also been super buggy recently. I couldn’t play it even when o wanted to. The audio is always choppy, and the game is glitchy and unplayable. Has anyone else had this issue?
I used to play fh4, but it just became boring. There wasn't much progression, I got Bugattis and Hypercsrs quickly and there just wasn't much to do. From reading a few comments, it seems that people think fh5 had the same problem
Yes. FH5 has practically 0 progression. Let me give you an example from my own experience at the launch. At the beginning, I just drove across the map and explored the area. That alone was enough to collect experience points and unlock more story missions. With the experience points came level-ups and the subsequent wheelspins a short time later, of course.
I’ll add one thing a lot of people really haven’t mentioned is vehicle balancing. Back in FM2,3,4 and FH1 there was more vehicle balancing in the PI class system. I miss the F and E class, the S Class, R3-1 Class. FM1 and 2 had the U Class instead of X Class. The more PI vehicle classes added so much more diversity and balancing to all the vehicles so they can properly perform and not be overwhelmed. Look at how Forza was being played back compared to now. There’s no real balance anymore and now more than half the vehicles in the Forza database are just near useless when trying to actually race with them cause they are now improperly classed. Turn 10 definitely got lazy on this in particular and the cause and effect is negative. It’s something that’s “minor” but it has a much longer lingering effect that will hit you without really noticing. A car game should have the ability to utilize ALL vehicles to their best abilities, not collect them and watch them grab a bunch of dust and neglect in the garage. The last Forza game to my knowledge that “allowed” mod support was FM4. It was called FM4.5. I think there was attempts to make FH1 like FM4.5 but Microsoft cracked down on the hacks. At this point, mod support for Forza would help with the reassembly of the series but knowing Microsoft… they rather let their games die than to allow the community to help preserve it
Motorsports is great. I can't get down on horizon. It's too much chaos or something.. arcade games just aren't that fun anymore after playing motorsport for so long. Can't wait for the new motorsport!
I think they should make it so cars are unlocked with challenges like getting camos in cod. If that was the case seeing someone with a specific car that’s hard to get would be wayyy cooler. They also need to make the cars more customizable, like letting us modify the exhaust. There’s also crazy input lag issues.
horzas camera doesnt feel that good, when its stabilized to the car, you dont see the car sideways that much, only the back trunk of the car. in other games when you drift you see the whole car going sideways, thats a problem too imo
my hot take with this whole situation, is this, for anyone who cares: i personally find the map itself and its depiction of mexico, is quite beatiful, and compared to fh4 way more entertaining to drive around in. i played forza horizon one when it was released, so im a veteran to this series. for me, nothing will compare to that first feeling of the festival and driving around in a open world game like that, that being said though, the very reason i go hack to these games is exactly that. the festival although blander now and somewhat “old” is still the main concept of horizon, and my favorite thing to do on these games has always been get money as fast and easy as possible and get all the cars, have fun modding them to various specs, and rip up some long backroads. can i still do this in fh5?? yes. therefore to me fh5 delivers the base of what i want and expect from forza. i think alot of people especially in the gaming community vs the car community are failing to focus on whats been good about the game and instead are nailing the bad. focusing on how much the game has changed overtime when really it hasnt. and thats the big problem. some people want more and some people have always enjoyed horizon games and know how they develop so this is nothing new. at least it wasnt new till recently. not every game has to be full realism or track oriented. ive always loved forzas physics, the beauty of the game itself and the simple fun of just cruising around in shit ill never be able to afford. ALL THAT SAID: id be lying to say that im impressed with how five has turned out. do i still enjoy it?? yes because im a horizon fan and always will be. but simple things like geography being fucked up, textures and what not, photo mode not working properly, the fact that one of my barn finds glitched out and never showed the location, should not be happening. overall the progression of the game truly has been sad, its okay to be imperfect at first but to barely make improvements on simple shit with a brand new game that should have been resolved before release, is pretty rediculous. updates have been relatively bland aside from the select cool cars weve gotten, which if you dont have the car pass is not very many lol. lots of recycled cars now and were already past the first expansion, the donut media shit really pissed everyone off. i could go on. the main point is veteran or not, car guy or not, most everyone who plays this game or loves the franchise has something to pick on about forza horizon 5, and although i think the pc community and sim community are always putting themselves on a pedestal: (meaning they are more likely to nit pick at bullshit thats always been a factor), people still are pretty much collectively equally dissapointedwith this game, its definitely not to true horizon standards, the money is the only goal nowadays and sadly i think thats what gaming in general is coming to especially on console.
I started the horizon series with 3, and fell in love with the map and variety. You had dunes, woodlands, open fields, winding roads, a long highway, beach, and an amazing city. 4 brought in seasons, and some new cars and other additions. 5,, they have more tuning options with tire compounds, actual changing exhaust notes and engine sound in general, and does have nice features. If they'd make a Horizon with the aspects most favored by players, it'd be the best one to date I'm sure. Also, the music from 3 I enjoyed, 4 was okay, fewer songs I knew/listened to, and 5 the radio is off.
Forza horizon 3 has the best music, so the player will listen to all of the radio stations. The sensation of driving with a sunset, or other moment is epic with the old progression system, and the other features.
FH3 is simply the best Forza Horizon ever made. FH5 is amazing don't get me wrong, but there is something magical about FH3 atmosphere. The soundtrack is also MUCH MUCH better that's true
@@MadX8Incorrect. I'm playing FH3 right as I'm typing this comment (05/06/2023) and it has way too many flaws for me to call it "tHe bEst fOrZa gAmE eVeR!!" or Fh3 iS tHe pEaK oF tHe fRaNcHiSe!!!" My favourite Forza games for everything except the music is: 1. FH5. 2. FH4. 3. FH3. 4. FH1. FH2. My favourite Forza games for the music/soundtrack/ost is: 1. FH1. 2. FH4. 3. FH3. 4. FH2. 5. FH5.
It's the same old game loop. It's grindy but nothing really makes you wanna see more. A game for children more than adults. I loved Forza horizon 4 so much but 5 is way too similar so I just got bored, and stopped playing pretty quickly after launch.
Exactly! Same game, different map. They should change the game completely. Make it possible to get out and walk around. This would instantly make it one of the best car games because car meets would be awesome. Also, if progression was slow it would encourage players to play more. Imagine a group of friends having a car meet and one has a Golf 5, the other an AMG and another has an Audi R8. It would stimulate the others to play more so the next time they're having a car meet they can surprise each other with their progression.
As someone who played 1,3, and now 5, I would say the first 3 games were by far the best. The first game just has so much more personality from the rivals, to the announcers, the progression, and even the upgrade guy. Forza 3 felt fresh and re-inviting after a long hiatus from Forza. The map was spectacular and everything worked really well (besides the game itself it kept crashing on my PC the first few months from release). Forza 3 was so good it made me get Forza motorsport 7 because it made me interested in forza in general. Now for horizon 5 and do I have a lot of beef with this game. Sure the graphics look good, but I feel like the map is definitely lacking a city and overall feels a little too big. There are areas I explored just to get the signs and roads discovered and have never found myself going back there, also the story is pretty bad and the game itself just doesn't feel like Forza to me. Racing in horizon 5 is what soured my image of the game the most however. The rubber-banding from the ai is possibly the most annoying mechanic they have ever added to a game and it ruined the entire experience for me. I can be busting my ass off on unbeatable difficulty to pull a lead and then a minute later two ai cars come blazing past me. It's extremely annoying and I wish they would just make higher difficulties just HARDER and not like I'm being toyed with by the AI. Overall, I think Forza horizon is by far the worst addition to the horizon series yet. I feel like they are trying so hard to have all these crazy stunts and cool cinematics that they completely forgot what a horizon game is supposed to be.
One of my main gripes is the online for fh5. I can't choose to just do Street races with Hypercars. I have to go online and hope by chance I'll have a full lobby with S2 cars on road, which majority of the time rarely happens
i think a lot of people tried forza cause gamepass and then dropped fast but the low bar is similar in height than other car games where they are stable, maybe a bit lower
The map sucks. What is the point of my 4x4? All you can do is jump sand dunes. Theres no trails go into the woods. Oh yeah, there is no real "woods". No rock climbing. Its just a plain, uninteresting terrain. Fake boulders you cant interact with.
Unlike FH1, FH5 was pushing me to open or expand all kinds of festivals at once. I just wanted to beat and accomplish one by one but the game keeps telling me to move on to next step even before I finish or fully enjoy previous contents. But when I reach high level and finish all the races, there aren't much things to do. I want more single racing since I haven't driven all the cars but the races are so limited and players made races are difficult to tell what it really is before I actually play it. To be more exact, when I expected new type of track from the players made races, they were often just maps for quick winning or skill points. Still, my best Forza series is Horizon 1 and Motorport 4. They trully let us enjoy all sort of cars and shows respect for rather normal cars that we actually can buy and drive in real life. Plus, there were numerous races to beat and cars to collect by hard working.
Just got the game today and after 5 hours I have unlocked every single one of the areas lmao, I was expecting a good story and having to beat each area before moving to the next, also didn’t realize how easy it was to get super fast cars in this game, already have a hyper car and it’s the first day I’ve had the game.
I honestly feel like the part of the reason why it didn't gain traction was because of the map. People like to play maps that they can relate to. Forza Horizon 5 takes place in Mexico, so I feel not too many people can relate to that. Not to mention the roads look crappy and the houses are pretty much shacks... If the map was in a city in the USA or Japan, it would have been massive. Scenery is key.
I think a bigger factor than considered is the fact gamepass went from 1$ to like 15$+ now and many players came from gamepass and left when the price has steadily increased
Forza Horizon 5 messed up by making progression happen way too fast. I miss working on my pos car and working my way up 1.) Horizon needs better crashing physics for fun gameplay. I don't expect Beam NG physics but maybe something like Driver San Francisco or Burnout Paradise 2.) Forza Vista out in free roam to show off your engine bays at car meets. Also engine bay customization with the ability to see upgrades & motor swaps 3.) Body and interior customization need revamped. Even Midnight Club LA used all licensed body parts, tires, seats, steering wheels, brakes and performance upgrades. 4.) A proper story with ups and downs that manages to make you actually care for your character with multiple choices/endings 5.) More daily driver cars that can be heavily modified. Hypercars are just turn key with no personal taste in my opinion. Give us what we've all been asking for! 1st & 2nd gen Toyota 4runner SR5, 2000's S10 Xtreme, 98-01 Audi S4 Sedan, 5th, 6th, & 7th generation Pontiac Grand Prix GTP (skill tree could include a GXP, GTX, 40th Aniversary & other trim levels). I could go on forever on making Forza better but this list is a decent start
I've played 3, 4 & 5. Each game felt exactly the same except with a different map. It's fun for a few hours but things get old fast. Top tier cars are too easily accessible and the player has no real reason to collect or keep certain car types. FM8 can't come quick enough but Microsoft hasn't filled me with confidence lately.
For me, the lack of new and exciting cars is the main issue. Period. The car industry is evolving at an incredible rate and unfortunately the Forza team doesn’t seem to be able to keep up with it. I personally think that the excessive use of recycled cars leaves no room for newer ones, and that is a major concern. It sends out the wrong message. It can be assumed that the team does no longer care about their consumers, when in reality such thought may be the total opposite of their real goal. Its hard to believe that we still can’t drive a Lamborghini Sián, a Ferrari Purosangue, an Aston Martin Valkyrie, a Bugatti LaVoiture Noire, a Koenigsegg Gemera, and so so so so so many more exclusive cars in Forza 5. It’s such a shame that such a BIG game is doing the way it is today, as Forza has been such a huge influence to the passion I have for cars. I want the hype we used to feel. I really do.
The Purosangue and Gemera aren't even out yet. The Valkyrie is just starting to be delivered to customers. The Voiture Noire is a 1 of 1, and the Sian is about to be added. They have to scan these cars, they don't model them manually anymore, and if they rushed them you'd complain about the low quality. They need to record the sounds for the cars, which is impossible to do when they can't get their hands on them, unless you're ok with them sounding inaccurate, which you're obviously not. You say they don't care about the consumer because they can't reach an impossibly high bar you set. Not to mention paying for the licensing. Forza is known to take their time adding cars because they want to do it right, if you cared so much about these cars why are you still playing Forza Horizon 5 instead of The Crew 2 or Grid where they're present?
It's people not being that interested in racing games in general. Horizon 5 is the most played racing game out there, but just like with fighting games, unless we are talking about Nintendo titles, they rarely get huge numbers of players. A game like Guilty Gear Strive can be considered really succesful, even tho it doesn't have a big number of players, because you rarely see those numbers in fighting games this long after release. It's the same for racing games. I think Horizon 5 is the best racing game I've ever played, but it's not something I see myself playing often. I rarely open it when I want to sit back and relax ALONE and not with friends.
I do miss the progression. I hated the spanglish and I felt disappointed of having such a huge map and no modern cities anywhere. The distances feel endless and I have so many repeated cars I've been going back to FH3 just to see the sunset and night sky because I hate nights are barely dark in Mexico. Australia had a beautiful sky and a gorgeous beach. I miss UK seasons although I do like the storms in Mexico but goddamn that's too much cactæ. Also, I don't think the music selection is the best and I'm thankful they added songs from previous games with the anniversary but that's a patch for a bad selection. Eterna is the most boring thing ever. They could've put exa radio station instead and wouldn't be so bad.
Question of the day: *What is YOUR honest opinion about Forza Horizon 5?*
Literally a reskin from horizon 4.
I think its pretty good except i dont like that there is so much off road
It’s a very good game tho it could use some larger updates
I love it
i think it is pretty decent for now, but if when NFS Unbound comes out, will you play it?
I think the main reason FH5 dropped so hard was the progression. You start the game, win 2 races and get a hypercar. There's no going up the ranks and earning better/faster cars like in previous titles, it's just "OK, you bought the game, here's your Bugatti, or whatever."
You start the game and then get a c8 corvette its absolutly broken
And I hate hyper car racing, not realistic and hurts my brain.
@@Mangopawsss i am not going lie but Forza horizon 4 got better gameplay (if u don't include car sound and yea they are somewhat bad if u very carefully to listen to car sound) and diversity in weather then Forza horizon 5
i quit after a week i felt like i was just given everything i miss forza one so much
It fell off bc its on gamepass, no loss to try it out and walk away compared to trying to squeeze £50 value out of it
I played FH1, FH3 and FH5.
Dont appreciate that we started the FH5 story already a superstar. Took away the luster of progression.
Also FH 2 feels something like that
In FH1 you had to collect wristbands so it had a mini story of you climbing up the ladder, reminds me of the blacklist nfs most wanted had
Even FH3 had some kind of incentive to play to unlock and level up the festival sites. They would also get bigger in the world as you upgraded them.
I have FH3 and FH5 too, Imo FH3 is better still
Imagine FH6 taking place in Japan but worked like FH1 with real progression…
I don't trust the forza team to make a Japan map so I don't want them to do it. They'd ruin it. Japan has relatievely narrow roads that make even relatively low speeds feel fast but do you really think that they'll stop pandering to the Lamborghini kids now? Lol no. They'll make every road as wide as a motorway, like they have done so far. Also the maps are too dead traffic-wise.
@@Freezorgium Sadly, I agree

Yeah I hate that, both in h4 and h5, I’ve had the unbeatable ai nudge me off the road during trial events
for me its the fact that they all brake to like 30kmh on t1 and let one car get away then suddenly that car in the lead gets NOS or something and you simply cant catch it.

2. More narrow roads and cities
3. Harder to obtain hypercars and supercars (harder to obtain credits)

Forza Horizon, however, has only been getting worse and worse. It's like the game improved by 30% considering some gameplay mechanics and in game events while everything else got worse, progression and campaign being the biggest offenders.
Broooo I haven’t heard flynt in so many years ! Thank you for reminding me I need to download that or 2 don’t remeber what one I have
@@escrivaodegalarran1098 Man those titles take me back to when games were simple and fun. Most wanted was such a good game
Yea these are rough numbers as I mentioned, in Steam I saw 9%
I agree with this. Google search trends do not reflect the player base. In fact they only represent new people searching about the game. I even checked steam charts, and although there is a decline of around 50% (not 7% or 9%), but this is quite usual for consecutive titles with sequels. However, I do concur that Asseto Corsa does indeed have a growing player base, which can be credited correctly to all its modding support, community and updates.
Directly correlates with interest though, still a notable statistic
Yeah, it's doing very badly or should i say struggling because im sure it sold well but one month at least this year i read FH4 had more steam players.
Content creators using google trends as a statistic metric is the most stupid thing ever
Same, it feels so much better
Etc
Gran Turismo 2 grinding, used car showrooms...
True
Yup. It was very underwhelming and uninspired.
Also driving almost 250mph feels like 80
Highway needs some love fr
Yes The perception of speed is terrible for sure
We need forza horizon 6 set in NYC/LI, cause that shit would be crazy.
what i also hate about the highway is that nobody drives on the right side, which is a standard thing to do in countries, fast and slow lanes.
I grinded out so much in 3 plus it was very fun game. 5 feels like a chore to go through.
3 is the best one.
i got fh4 (from turkey store so pretty cheap after launch) after spending hours in fh3 and loving it (and played fh2 and fh1 on xbox 360 played the shit out of fh1 and a bit fh2 bujt that lagged so bad on x360) and i was so disapointed with h4... then got fh5 cause my friends wanted to play and i paid 60€ and yeah nah sucks.... its the same shit remade even COD does more changes
5 is absolutely a chore
@@ThaAnswerMD25 just don’t do the campaign missions and mute your tv every time the characters speak. That’s what I did. It’s fun with a racing wheel. Not much value beyond that, I’ll admit.
That could be you aging as a gamer.
I've noticed this as well with other titles - life is too short.
England is very influential on cars, more than scotland is
Just imagine this, 2 cities, Brighton (nice because it has beaches), London (because obviously),
And also, i think they missed a huge opportunity to include the White Cliffs Of Dover.
White Cliffs Of Dover would have made the map a lot less dull and samey all across.
If you don't know what it is, google it, it's really pretty and would fit in perfectly in a horizon game.
London, Brighton and White Cliffs Of Dover are all approximately located in one corner of england, near enough to each other to be shrinked into a fictional map based on real life
Idk, just my thoughts on what they could have done better for Horizon 4's map, i think it was a missed opportunity
Mexico is a boring location. I loved going there in vacation but never have I thought any car culture got their way there.
This was mainly to appeal to the North American fanbase. There were at least 5 locations more appealing. Going back to Europe, South Africa, Japan, Brazil or the Middle East for me, for example

4 have a lobby as well
4 has a proper online lobby for the whole map.
FH3 FTW

I love forza, but this is my first horizon, it's a great game, however its main flaw is the map, it's too empty, the game needs a city expansion map, preferably more traffic, and atleast give us customisable exhausts especially for tuner cars, overall its still a great game imo
i agree, one of the things you could do in previous forza games was hide and seek. now you can't really play that in fh5 because the map is so spread out and sparse

There is exhaust upgrades that change the sound and CAIs also change sound
Yes custom pipes would be cool
I think the most fun I ever had in FH5 was using the different horns with my friends... because it was fuckin hilarious making horse sounds and stuff. But honestly, deep down, the FH4 map (AND a lot of other aspects of the previous one) felt SO much more ALIVE and VARIED. All of the seasons, the winter as well, super fun. IMO, they kinda shot themselves in the foot by choosing Mexico as a location for everything.
I guess the historical importance of Mexican racing was seen as the reason for the location?

I've been saying for years now that the next FH needs to be more like the 1st one. There's skill involved in class racing I can't stand that you can just max out your cars and enter any race takes all the fun out of ot
I want a Forza Horizon game where you have to save the festival from a bad guy. Have a bracket system like how NFS has it where you have to face a boss and if you win you get their car. This would be a nice lead-in to having new game modes like cops and robbers or escort missions, and challenges like "Your opponent is cheating by using illegal car mods, you must beat them in a car 1 class lower then their car"
@@GrumpyIan thats alot how ike fh1 was. Kinda like how Flint would corner cut and stuff.

Fh1 was amazing
Some of my best memories in FH4 were the playground games. The castle map was way more fun compared to what we have now. Also I loved the progression system when you would get actual rewards compared to the useless accolade points

THANK GOD, YES. THIS, THIS RIGHT HERE IS MY THOUGHTS RIGHT THERE.
and to add to the copy/paste feeling they made another hot wheels expansion with an inferior map to the one from fh3. if the next expansion is just yet another storm island type thing, like we had with treasure island in fh4 or, god forbid, LEGO... i've had it! at least both major expansions for fh3 were entirely new to forza at the time
Just because this content creator has an opinion because he saw a few posts that didn't seem to like FH4 as much as the rest of us should be taken with a grain of salt.
That's where the fun is.
i totally agree. I spent a ton of time playing three, and going from 3 to 4 felt like a totally new experience
mainly its about progression and reward system, i remember playing most wanted against baron the 10th blacklist, i didn't have enough money to upgrade or buy better car to defeat him so i have to improvise by racing the same track over and over again until i can defeat him, and the exhilirating and satisfying feeling when i finally defeat them is really what made me replayed nfsmw so much, the feeling when you work hard for something the result doesn't dissapoint
now forza, after 2 days you are playing and you already got a koenigsegg from a wheel spin or stock cars but with so many cheap choices of swappable engines, hell you can even pick between a c8 corvette or a supra from the start. what's the point of playing anymore when you already got everything you basically need ?
I know exactly what you mean this new system is terrible. Bring back the days of co-op campaign and private free roam (fh3)
@@DMort22 you can only talk to people who are in your convoy. Given that they even have a mic to talk to you with.

The game missing a proper ranked mode is what keeps me from investing more into it. I want my races to feel like they matter
It’s just overwhelming, so many diff challenges and races all at once, gets too confusing. It’s nice to start with a trash car, race and earn your way up, not have a million challenges and a million cars at your fingertips soon as starting the game
Well said. I've been playing since the original Horizon and I still don't understand the whole game. The whole festival is so corny.
Forza horizon 2 multi-player in the airport was so good and the map too. Just playing infected with random people was amazing
Yep. They made it impossible to play infected now without being forced to play the other modes that aren't fun at all. They made some of the worst maps I've ever seen for playground games on FH5
Same on FH3! It was absolutely amazing
The map is definitely the problem. The other forzas I played for years still enjoying the maps
I agree.
Totally agree, it feels too small
Horizon 4 map was trash too lol
@@daBears06 nah it’s way better
The map is never too much big to be played. So it's going to be boring. Much more with the lastest Forza's editions.
Nailed it re. the map
Fh4 is almost as lackluster if u have played the older horizon games

That.... Won't really do anything to get people playing if they're already not enjoying the game though...

The TL;DR of that is "Enjoying it but being bored of it defeats the purpose of making that content". It would be self-defeating.

Forza Horizon 5 is a game that you could pull the plug on online play and you really wouldn't be missing much of anything, if anything at all.
The people who ram and drive like garbage online are basically shunned by the community as it is, so you're not alone in that respect.
For me it’s the map, car selectivity and the traffic as they just stop randomly.
People forget to realize the No Hesi Traffic Mod in AC brought hella hype
I just started playing Forza 5, I actually never played the series before, what's frustrating is that after I just started the game it was like "here you go a hyper car good luck handling it" there is no going up the ranks, starting with slow easy cars then going up, also it's super easy earning in-game money and getting new cars, you can drive whatever you want by just doing some easy missions and getting money you can buy the fastest car in the game, there no "OMG finally now I can buy after all the hard work"
Just imagine how it feels having all the cars in collection that they have released so far and wondering what to do with the stacked 200mil credits.

a server list would be huge for this game. i used to love server lists in gran turismo 5 from drifting servers, anything goes racing servers, serious racing servers and chill hang out servers. you could always find a server with a group of like minded people.
The last good horizon was 3…that map was perfect. Proper urban City, that drift parking lot!!!! The ocean front, outback…etc
I’ve spend more time in the drift parking lot in FH3 than on the whole FH5 game.
I personally would love mod support and server list and things like that but I think because the game is also on console and is also a more “family friendly” (if that’s the right way to say it) kind of game that Microsoft would never add these sadly. They are the kinds of company that would much rather make more profit by adding more expansions that something like mods for example.
that is the sad truth
It’s kinda sad that GTA online has a better car meet and car show system with their Role Play servers than a Forza Horizon game.
I want narrow roads and interior customization and I’d be immensely happy and they should use the realistic physics from the Motorsport games
A big chunk of the world does not have all day to play video games. So I am glad that it’s easy to progress and earn cars.
Forza Horizon 1 had better physics
Im happy with forza being more offline friendly
My problem with 5 is that it has become glitchy. The game freezes, then the scenery disappears.
It should be fixed with the recent rtx graphics card update. I also left because of this issue.
I’m on Xbox Series X, and have started to notice some props don’t load in until like 5 meters away
I want forza 3 to go in a BLAST and every one plays it because it perfect
One of the things I loved about the older Gran Turismo games was how you could go and buy a pretty basic car, something obtainable in real life, and mess around with it.
bmw e30 325i with real sound
won't happen, they're more focused on the hypercar kids and pushing out fortnite emotes and wacky costumes or a new skin for the prostheses (for that extra inclusivity points)

4-Official Touge tracks (Not Track Editor)
I’ve played every forza horizon game since fh2, which was the best:
FH2 had a special atmosphere and map, it felt so good to drive your car near the coast… the gameplay was also good, the challenges, I remember that I had to spend so many hours to get a Bugatti and try to beat my records.
I agree completely. Horizon 2 is truly special
Fh5 has also been super buggy recently. I couldn’t play it even when o wanted to. The audio is always choppy, and the game is glitchy and unplayable. Has anyone else had this issue?
No issues here. Try verifying the game files or reinstall the game
After the new update its been really fucky. im on a stupid high end rig for the games requirments and I am getting lots of stuttering in menus.
The map is beautiful but lonely and feels so empty
I used to play fh4, but it just became boring. There wasn't much progression, I got Bugattis and Hypercsrs quickly and there just wasn't much to do. From reading a few comments, it seems that people think fh5 had the same problem
Yes. FH5 has practically 0 progression. Let me give you an example from my own experience at the launch. At the beginning, I just drove across the map and explored the area. That alone was enough to collect experience points and unlock more story missions. With the experience points came level-ups and the subsequent wheelspins a short time later, of course.
A mod support would be nice on the aero kit department.
Cuz there are missing body kit brands in the game like LBWK, RWB, Rocket Bunny
At this point, mod support for Forza would help with the reassembly of the series but knowing Microsoft… they rather let their games die than to allow the community to help preserve it
Huh... I didn't even know there WERE mods for OG Forza Motorsport. That would be pretty wild to play though. o.o
Forza horizon 5 simply don't work anymore for me, it won't even start at this point. That's the main reason
horzas camera doesnt feel that good, when its stabilized to the car, you dont see the car sideways that much, only the back trunk of the car. in other games when you drift you see the whole car going sideways, thats a problem too imo
my hot take with this whole situation, is this, for anyone who cares: i personally find the map itself and its depiction of mexico, is quite beatiful, and compared to fh4 way more entertaining to drive around in. i played forza horizon one when it was released, so im a veteran to this series. for me, nothing will compare to that first feeling of the festival and driving around in a open world game like that, that being said though, the very reason i go hack to these games is exactly that. the festival although blander now and somewhat “old” is still the main concept of horizon, and my favorite thing to do on these games has always been get money as fast and easy as possible and get all the cars, have fun modding them to various specs, and rip up some long backroads. can i still do this in fh5?? yes. therefore to me fh5 delivers the base of what i want and expect from forza. i think alot of people especially in the gaming community vs the car community are failing to focus on whats been good about the game and instead are nailing the bad. focusing on how much the game has changed overtime when really it hasnt. and thats the big problem. some people want more and some people have always enjoyed horizon games and know how they develop so this is nothing new. at least it wasnt new till recently. not every game has to be full realism or track oriented. ive always loved forzas physics, the beauty of the game itself and the simple fun of just cruising around in shit ill never be able to afford.
@@marcelog5191 I like how we had to work to get new music as well, we didn't get everything at the get-go

My favourite Forza games for everything except the music is:
1. FH5. 2. FH4. 3. FH3. 4. FH1.
This video has got 1M views and is showing on my homepage most of the time even after 2 yrs. This is an awesome video.
Forza is not dead to me 😃
I honestly feel like the part of the reason why it didn't gain traction was because of the map.
Even if it had that going for it, I feel like it has so many other issues that its not even worth it.
I think a bigger factor than considered is the fact gamepass went from 1$ to like 15$+ now and many players came from gamepass and left when the price has steadily increased
1$ was a first time sub price, it was never the actual price of gamepass so the price never increased.
Forza Horizon 5 messed up by making progression happen way too fast. I miss working on my pos car and working my way up
1.) Horizon needs better crashing physics for fun gameplay. I don't expect Beam NG physics but maybe something like Driver San Francisco or Burnout Paradise
2.) Forza Vista out in free roam to show off your engine bays at car meets. Also engine bay customization with the ability to see upgrades & motor swaps
3.) Body and interior customization need revamped. Even Midnight Club LA used all licensed body parts, tires, seats, steering wheels, brakes and performance upgrades.
4.) A proper story with ups and downs that manages to make you actually care for your character with multiple choices/endings
5.) More daily driver cars that can be heavily modified.
I honestly think if FH6 was in Dubai, that would be absolutely INSANE!
Totally agree
