UFC's Dricus Du Plessis said his goal was not just to win the belt but to be the best to ever do it

UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis puts his belt on the line on Feb. 8 at UFC 312 when he rematches Sean Strickland. Du Plessis won the title from Strickland at UFC 297 in Toronto by split decision, and now they meet again in the main event of UFC 312 in Sydney, Australia.
Du Plessis talked about the first fight, what it was like fulfilling one part of his dream by winning the championship and what he thought of the scoring. He said his long-term goal is to build a record that is unsurpassed.
I joked with him about lightweight champ Islam Makhachev talking about fighting him and he had some thoughts on that, as well.
