You are a prime example of a persistent musician, doing what he loves, keeping with it, perfecting it, and going high and getting places. Keep up the awesome work!

"I was young". This dude is 20! When I was 20, I felt accomplished when I skipped college classes 🥴.
Definitely great things ahead for this man.

My dad was the drummer for ,"The String Kings". This young man is teaching us things my father did when I was young! This young man can be included in the list of great drummers both past and present. Thank you for his videos. I look forward to seeing more!

I too play with both grips…Had good teachers…Studied lots of Billy Cobham…Many times I switch grips in the same songs…Many of the early rockers were Jazz & Big Band drummers, as they had no specific techniques to fit into a rock context…Ginger Baker, Mitch Mitchell, Ian Paice, Carl Palmer, & so on…Even Ringo had a swing sound to his playing…Charlie Watts had his own Big Band project & dropped some CDs…I know many Metal drummers who study Big Band…Virgil Donati uses a traditional grip, unlike his contemporaries…Greyson is very popular amongst Metal drummers…Aside from his drumming talent, he obviously had good upbringing…A gentleman…

GK explains the nuances of snare, tom, and cymbal alignment for a Jazz setup that makes ergonomic playing sense. The different applications of match and traditional grips have playing advantages. Nobody else explains how this works together like he does.

hey young man- you have excellent teaching skills...you've taught me {an old dog} new tricks...and, AND! not to sweat the small stuff, don't be hypercritical of yourself, your playing, your set-up, your critics! just have FUN! drumming's about having fun...thank-you...p.s. i'm a big time sonny payne fan he had chops, showmanship and a great sense of humor and when he was with Basie-MAGIC! ensued. i think i'm going to try traditional grip. i play brushes that way but, not sticks...i'm going to reposition some of the drums and try it out...thanks again.

I'm curious about the size of each of those drums. Greyson mentioned it's a deep snare, but is that a 9x13 rack? 16x16 floor? 20" bass? I'm just guessing, but would really like to know.

it's weird living in Fort Wayne where Sweetwater is at because there is nothing here. Sweetwater is kind of on the edge of town so i think most people don't even know it's there. I guess it's a pretty big deal for musicians. In 2007 I worked at a factory that built the fire sprinkler system for Sweetwater. I single handedly put the fittings on all the pipes. Isn't that special? not really.
