Great hunt, guys! I’m so envious of that sweet sandy soil…it’s so rocky up here in the mountains of Pennsylvania. You’ve got yourself a great spot there! Keep diggin' and Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! I'm envious of those old old sites in PA! I had the opportunity to dig one time up there and I had great hunt. Appreciate you watching and happy digs 👍
If you didn’t check it out yet, check out Quarter Hoarder channel this week . Our first Spanish cob, with subsequent for uscobs in the next couple weeks. Just exciting time
@Dog Tag Doug I hadn't watched it yet, but just did!! Amazing find and hunt! I've watched you guys for a long time, appreciate you watching mine and commenting, Doug. Many thanks.
Fabulous site I’m sure there is more ,consistent plowing can push objects far below the levels they would have naturally attained I would like too see some of your swinging occasionally otherwise I am extremely jealous!
@@IDigHistory I think you dug with my buddy Bryan from Family Treasures Metal Detecting before . good guy ! we all need to get together and dig sometime 🏴☠️👍
Wonderful dig! So many marbles and the history of the store “coins”, such amazing treasure! Love it all!! Thanks for sharing!! Your brother had great pottery pieces too! Exciting to see what you get 👍🪙
I have been following on instagram and found your TH-cam platform. Awesome video, will continue to watch as they come out. Have always been interested in history and you have really been able to explain and show quite a bit on the finds you make. Really nice, hope to get involved in detecting soon.
My gosh… what a beautiful property! I’ve never even done real research on metal detecting, though I’ve recently gotten into silver/gold and coins in general. Always wanted a metal detector as a kid! Glad TH-cam recommended this video to me. Still watching the beginning but very good production already. Edit: Wow! I had no idea that it would be possible to come across all of these cool finds in one outing! Marbles… I would’ve never guessed. I suppose it all comes down to the property that you have access to but man that’s sweet! I could totally see myself enjoying this hobby. Searching though your channel… you have a ton of great content! I’m obviously just ignorant but I would’ve thought that all these finds would have been destroyed or buried way deep below the surface after existing on a working farm for so long. Too cool!
Appreciate that great comment! Always love it when folks stumble on one of my videos and end up enjoying them. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! And you're absolutely correct, it's all about the site you're at.
Great day hunting. Great video. All good saves, but that lead pecan was outstanding. Nice site you have there. Keep those videos coming. Take care and God Bless... Pap
Great question. The plantation is still known by the same name and would be easily located. As sad as it is, there are people that would attempt to detect there without permission. I always try to keep my sites protected to minimize that risk for the property owners, but it still happens.
It's a lot to gloss over the fact that people were enslaved on this plantation. I'm sure there are ways you can pause and reflect on their lives and what the true cost was to run a plantation.
What a perfect day to dig with your brother and you guys got some really cool stuff
Very nice hunt. Thanks for taking us along. I liked the red piece of pottery that you found.
Thanks for watching, Keith 👍

Now that’s the kind of spot and history we love to find. That place could serve you well for years.
Absolutely

Great day hunting. Great video. All good saves, but that lead pecan was outstanding. Nice site you have there. Keep those videos coming. Take care and God Bless... Pap
Thanks Pap! Hope you're doing well and are getting the chance to get out and do some digging.
Thanks!
Flat button is Ives & Kendrick
Dude, i dug an L and Kendrick button in a union camp, lots of gold on it, just shows edge wear, was used by the navy i think
Outstanding! Congrats on a great save!
I’m dying to go metal detecting, I’ve gotten a vanquish metal detector for Christmas and haven’t gotten a chance to use it!
Why did you put a reins guide in the trash?😊
I don't think I did, did I? 😳
Oak Alley is a possible place they are.
I like your intro! Most are too busy and too long.
Thanks! My son actually produced it for me. I love it too!
What type of spray do you use to clean your finds in the field?
Just water.
Great video I just got a fisher f11 I’ve found a very old button and two memorial pennies so far
Keep at it! Wait til you dig that first silver coin! You'll be hooked for sure.
What's the solution you use to spray/clean your coins in the field?
Enjoyed the video... Nice job.
Appreciate it! I just use water.
I think you missed something check 7:57 looks like a coin right on top of ground .
Wow, it sure looked like it!
Nice finds! I suggest not spraying water on your copper finds, including nickels (75% copper).
Thanks!
Correct! Some people use rubbing alcohol on copper, it doesn't oxidize it.
Could I join you next time you go out an hunt this field
Lol, I'm usually a loner. Thanks for watching 👍
Np
what are you using for spray?
Clay is better with marbles!
You guys need to have toothpicks and toothbrush you help you guys
I always keep both with me 👍
Those are so old I have to ask why are you hiding names?
Great question. The plantation is still known by the same name and would be easily located. As sad as it is, there are people that would attempt to detect there without permission. I always try to keep my sites protected to minimize that risk for the property owners, but it still happens.
@@IDigHistory Ah ok, makes sense!

Hey Luke, I'll tolerate this comment, but only barely. You clearly have not watched my channel very long to think I gloss over anything.
You talk to much. Dig dig
